I discovered this place in the early 1980's when I was an offshore supply boat captain. I noticed the water was much shallow when I crossed over this place. I looked at the chart and the shallow water was on the chart. I would hit this place on the way back in from going to the oil rigs. I fished this place hundreds of times and NEVER saw another boat out there. We caught tuna, wahoo and bill fish. Great video !

Biggest fish I've caught was a 135 pound 6 ft 3 in tarpon this summer in anna maria island florida right by Tampa I'd advise anyone whose in Florida and wants to go tarpon fishing to go try that area out on the north point of the beach that's where I caught him and there was probably a school close to 15 of redfish right by there

That captain there is pretty knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the information he was throwing out there like how the wahoo is known as ono in Hawaii and translates to 'delicious'. That's the kind of stuff I enjoy learning about along with all this great fishing man that's some good stuff.
Interesting how you like using those blue rods which flex quite a bit. I understand the concept that you want to feel the fish and you do feel them better with the more flexible rods but man, doesn't that also translate into harder work, especially when you get into those 60lbs fish and bigger?

I love the fight! Devlin is awesome.

GoMiGman Actually for standup fishing a super stiff rod will work you 10x harder than a 50lb class rod. You want to be able to get that flex to raise the tip up with an arch. Otherwise its like you are lifting a piece of lumber. Plenty raised out of the water on 50# tackle. Much Love from Port Fourchon, LA

Max Cheramie Love it! Thanks for the advice and that's what I need. Going for Bluefin today and I have both types of rods, stiffinzy and loosenzy and will put your claim to the test ahaha! If I get lucky enough to snag one n each rod, that is. But good looking out, bro. Love Captain Blair and that classis laugh and all his shows rock, literally.

Oh my God if you catch anything DON"T TELL ME I'll be so pissed off LOL just kidding! Of course share everything and what bait you used and the whole kicking kabutle and really interested in besides these lures that Blair uses, what live bait really sucks them right into the hook? Good luck man wish you all the success and I hope you catch more than you can handle lmao!

Hey dude, you and your Dad could start saving and go tuna fishin, for 10 hrs or so, with a charter company called "Williams Party Boats" out of Galveston T.X. Price wise it would be around 60 bucks a head, but if you save enough you could go for two days for 250 a pop.
-good fishin and good luck buddy.
