Me as a forgetful person who fears forgetting his iPhone anywhere outside home I like the peace of mind the cellular model offers, plus I like Apple Watch independence as well.
I ist purchased a se 2 non cellular but after a couple of days I thought what’s the point if I have to have my phone with me, so I got a cellular & very pleased I did as it gets me away from my phone but that’s just my personal opinion. 😊
I can’t imagine having a Apple Watch without cellular coverage, I can recall taking a few important calls while on a run with my phone at home. If I had to wait until I got back home to check my phone I would have missed important opportunities, or I could just run with my heavy phone flopping around but I would rather pay the extra 5 bucks a month for cellular coverage for my watch
Hey! thank u for the experience. Surely i will get this one. I just have one question, does it have the feature of a keyboard to respond messages? or only predetermined ones?? @MarinaTech
I think cellular is a must , what’s the point in having a Apple Watch & having to be connected to your phone to send a message or make a call when you could just do that on your phone !!!!
Thank you so very much for this information. I’m going with GPS only. I’m a content creator and life coach and I wanted to use my Apple Watch ⌚️ to connect with my iPhone to keep me in frame while I create content. Thanks 🙏🏽 again for this information.
María thank you for helping me make my decision in 3:06! Short, to the point, key considerations, easy to understand. Why can’t all videos be this way? Great job!
I just got a new Apple Watch SE 2 Cellular for myself but I have Metro PCS. I think it cost about $10 a month for the service fee but don’t think my carrier supports the Apple Watch cellular so I’m not sure what to do never had cellular before but i know it will come in handy when my phone dies or anything else I might need from this feature.
@@warrengaskin3863 Mine has 80%. But I don’t mind about that, with my use it’s lasting one day and I put it on my charger every night since I don’t wear it while sleeping, so that’s fine for me.
wait so just making sure, i want to get an apple watch but don’t want a cellular plan, can i buy the gps, connect to my phone and i just have my phone in my pocket and i can send text and call, or buy the cellular and leave my phone at home?
I own a Series 7 with GPS only but decided to upgrade to the Series 9 with cellular as an extra layer of protection. If I’m out and about and lose my phone or, worse, get it stolen, I can use my Apple Watch independently to track my phone or call the Police.
I have a Series 6 stainless steel (it’s more durable and imo stylish than the aluminum models). It only comes in cellular, so the question is moot for me. The ability to make emergency calls on the watch (even if you don’t activate cellular) is really useful to have.
I had the Apple Watch 6 with just GPS before then it died on me fully so I went to the SE2 with cellular service it is a must I couldn’t live with out the option of the cellular service it is handy when you want to leave your phone behind when out walking. Or for a run it is a win win. Either way.
@@JPLolo-y9i was decent. Well in my eyes it was good for physical activity. I had upgraded to a different model since but it was pretty good.just have to try It out for yourself. To see
The cost of cellular adds up but I believe it is worth it for people like me: old, absent-minded and forgetful. I could use a watch to find my phone at a distance greater than 50 feet. The new series 10 is out and looks like a winner over the dimmer SE.
I have the watch u,tra best beast of a watch.. with cellular and it works great if you don’t need you phone when your running or go to store real fast..
Hi. I watched about a dozen comparisons on the matter, but I still cannot understand can I receive notifications from apps on iPhone when using lte. Lets say I'm working out, my phone is in a locker: can I receive notifications from apps this way if Apple Watch can't connect directly to the iPhone? As a European, we don't use iMessage, we use different alternatives like Discord, Whatsapp, Telegram so "staying connected" to us has a different meaning.
I went on a bike ride this morning and left my phone at home thinking I didn’t need my phone with me to send messages on my ultra 2. I was dead wrong. Is this a setting issue? Just got the watch two weeks ago
You need to set it up with your mobile service provider. Simply tell them you want to enable cellular on your Apple Watch and they'll set up an account for it. Hope this helps! ❤
Great review! Getting my first Apple Watch tomorrow. I opted for the GPS+cellular. Battery life was nothing that came to mind. I considered the fact that I don’t like carrying my phone when working out. The watch without the phone would be convenient. Now, my plus is, I had gotten a welcome discount of 10 dollars with my cell service. Adding my watch will cost 10 bucks so, I still will do well budget wise. Look forward for more of your reviews on the watch and other things. Thanks a bunch! 👍🏾 Update: During the second week with my Apple Watch, I’ve been having issues with the battery depleting fast. I’ve been trying some advice given from others. Finally, I decided to turn off the wi-fi. To my surprise, I’ve been actually getting 2 day battery life. I found out that Wi-Fi uses more battery than Bluetooth. Wearing my watch while sleeping used to drain the battery to the red. I woke up this morning and the battery life was at 90 %. That is the best performance since owning the watch. Still learning some things about the series 9. Am happier now that I can get my monies worth from this watch. Lastly, I did not know the SE version did not support fast charging. That one was first on my radar, but am glad I chose the series 9.

Curious about the best watch for a senior who in the event of an emergency, hit by a car, can get emergency help even if you are non-responsive
Are you able to start a run workout without your phone if your watch is gps only?
yes
