Beautiful machine, Randy. I sold my Hardinge last year
Great explanation of the collets. exactly how it was explained to me in 1966 at Osborne engineering.
It looks nice. You might be sad to see it go. Must be something very cool coming.
I have full turret ability for my Logan Lathe. Even though the Hardinge is a sweet machine.
The new tool must be a CNC lathe. I have an HLVH, DSM-79, and a Haas TL-1. The HLVH-H gets used often and the DSM still gets used occasionally. I probably use both because I rebuilt both including bed regrinds. I get it Randy, if you don’t have the room, something’s gotta go. Good luck with the sale. Someone will be getting a very nice machine.
Beautiful machine. Not in my cards at the moment, but I sure wish it was. I have a turret for my SB 10L and a cross slide, but no cutoff. Woe is me...🤣
as soon as it goes out the door, you're gonna need it...lol.. that's usually the way these things go
Good Afternoon Randy 😊 You know, in about a month, you're going to wish you kept it. It's always the case.
Hardinge are the Cadillac of lathes, they're manufactured only about an hour from where I live in NY. If I had the money and wasn't on the east coast I'd love to have a little Hardinge.
That was actually a two owner machine. It was purchased new by Techtronics in Portland, Ore. and then to you. Obviously was taken care of by you and Techtronics over the years. I actually never used the machine. It traveled from Portland to The Dalles Iron Works in The Dalles Oregon and sold to me. It was never used at The Dalles. It passed then to you. So actually only two owner operators in its lifetime.
Glad to see you out still getting it done Don. 🙂
Wish we had the room for that piece, great presentation.
I see this announcement as “I’m done making scribes.” 😂 Gonna be a nice machine for someone.
Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.
Thanks, will do!
Very nice lathe. Hope you sell it soon.
Nice Mustache
Hi, just found your channel and though I’m aware you are mostly metal work (?) I did notice on the video that found my feed that you have the Delta unifence such as I have. So a random question-have you done anything in particular as a work around to the unique design of the fence that can make it difficult to attach clamps, jigs, etc. to it? (Due to the slide aspect getting in the way) I did a search through your past videos and nothing jumped out at me regarding that (though I found plenty to revisit!) Thanks if anything to offer on that front.
You need a bigger workshop then you could keep it.
Free delivery to southwest Michigan, including right?
Just kidding.
Looking forward to seeing what replaces this.
Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
You bible bangers are something. Ever have an atheist always telling people there are no gods? Ever hear a buddhist telling you to think about buhdah in the middle of an unrelated conversation?
