Jesus, honestly her friend flexin in front if the camera not helping her right away really pissed me off. But at least after she changed her mind and rinsed all of it out. I understand why they were leery taking her to the hospital. People in America are hesitant to even go if they’re leg is falling off in front of them, the Health Care system is so bad. Hope she’s alright. Her hair is still beautiful and fixable by a professional.
I feel so lucky that here in Mexico we have free healthcare. It's not first class but it saves lives. I feel so bad for Americans, it must add a layer of panic at the thought of the bill on top of the medical emergency.
@@user-is7xs1mr9y that's why so many Americans just play ostrich with their health. Can't afford to do anything about it anyway. This contributes to all the snake oil cures for everything that Americans love too....can't afford actual medicine so maybe this 30 dollar supplement will help
@@solsirhibragusowl2221 I gotta say that the ER is a nightmare here in Canada, where we do have health care coverage. But you know having coverage doesn't make it a perfect system. Our wait times are insane, and there's a ton of people with no doctor, because there's such a shortage of doctors. People here routinely travel to the US or Mexico for healthcare, because they can't wait.... ...well, lucky people with the money to do so do that. The rest of us sit here, literally dying sometimes, while we wait for a surgery or an MRI or an appointment. Also, not everything is covered. Dental isn't. Perscriptions are not. So, sure, you can get an appointment with a doctor for free (if you're lucky enough to have a doctor, and can wait and wait for an appointment), but then you have to pay for the prescription (a lot of people, maybe even most, have prescription coverage through their work, but I don't have that at my work). Our ERs are always a crowded, clogged mess, because the zillion people with no doctor go there, cause they don't have anywhere else to go. Still, I think I'd prefer our system to the US system. Our system isn't perfect, but at least I don't have to stress about how to pay for an actual appointment.
As someone with dermatological problems, I felt horrible for her. My skin what never so destroyed, and I know how a VERY LESS damaged skin can be unconfortable and even hurt. :( And you're soooo right : rinse, rinse, rinse. And without soap, as the has an chemical allergic reaction (who knows how the soap could interact with the bleach product !)
When I first tried bleaching my hair, I had a similar reaction on my neck. I used the manic panic bleach kit. My neck is super sensitive to that one, but I have no reaction to the wella color charm bleach, my scalp doesn’t even burn or itch with that one
I use Wella also, it does make my scalp burn a little bit, but not the point that it's extremely bothersome. And my hair doesn't feel extremely dry afterwards which is amazing.
I was so confused as to why she was so concerned about the cat coming into the bathroom, besides the fact the cat probably wouldn't enjoy the bleach smell as their nose is very sensitive. When I bleached or dyed my hair I kept my dog "locked" in my room while leaving the bathroom door wide open and the bleach still was strong, but at least there was air circulating. I'm confused as to why she didn't do the same. The bathroom isn't the only room in a home with a door. She's lucky she didn't end up admitted to the hospital or worse yet, died. Once you damage your lungs you can't do anything about it. People always forget or disregard safety measures. We only have one life and we need to make appropriate choices to like not die irresponsibly. I'm glad my kids don't do this without lots of research. My daughter prefers the salon because her hair is long. Firstly, she doesn't have the patience and secondly, she doesn't trust herself to not mess up her hair so she goes to the salon.
As much as I enjoy brad mondo’s videos, he’s is just one hairdresser of many and he doesn’t know everything. She should’ve done a test strand, and rushed herself to the ER for that reaction. How she let it stay in her hair AFTER that reaction and didn’t rinse right away, is beyond me. I mean at least wipe your neck down with a wet towel and some soap after, or put something down to protect your neck while bleaching. Plus the closed door just had my anxiety through the roof
I don’t think he has ever said 30 volume for everyone like she says he did. I could be wrong though, I’ve seen a lot of his videos, but not all of them.
@@rosanna415 the point is, if you wanna go light blonde, at home with no professional help, then you need to use 30 developer. Only professionals can get your hair evenly light with 20 developer. So it's much better for your hair to bleach it once with 30, than to bleach it couple of times with 20.
So I've got several colors of XMONDO hair colors for me to dye my hair for the first time in YEARS and even then I was only dong root touchups for my grays. Any way, I a still have a few items that I will have to get in order for me to do this successfully. I'm nervous about bleaching or lightening my hair at all, but I have been watching a lot of videos and will watch many more to really understand the bleaching process and what to do/get for the results I invision. However, this video is really helpful and a great warning that I saved to my hair playlist so I can have that reminder. The big message and lesson I got from this was to be even more cautious and carefully when bleaching!!! I have very reactive skin to things bc of Contact Dermatitis. I have bleached my hair before but it was professionally done. Seeing this make me realize how much I will have to protect my skin everywhere, bc I do not want a reaction or burn my skin. YIkes! Thank you Hair Buddha!
If this wasnt a public service announcement to leave it to the professionals, I dont know what is!! Definitely pays off to take the time to do a skin and strand test with products you've never used
I've had a professional destroy my hair with bleach (leaving it for too long for my fine hair...) That's why I don't do highlights anymore. I just dye my hair myself.
I love watching your videos. I decided never to dye my hair ever again after the bleach incident took me two years to have healthy hair. I had to have a significant chop and I ended up with a pixie cut which I hated now my hair is healthy, it's the shiniest I have ever seen and now it's past my shoulders. I should have watched your videos about bleaching before I bleached it.
I know how much those burns hurt. I got a chemical burn *in a hair salon* when a hairdresser was trying to remove black dye from my hair. I was about 14 and even 20 years later, it's still the second worst pain I've ever had and mine was only my scalp. I can't imagine how bad it would hurt to have it down your neck and arms too.
Omg, this was probably the scariest video of someone bleaching their hair I’ve watched so far 😮 I’m glad she didn’t pass out and managed to get to the doctors in time..
I love ur videos. U are so educational and passionate about what you do!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE UR CONTENT AND HUMOR!!!! 😘😘😘😘😘 "That looks ugly" is my favourite 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She isn't using GLOVES?????? Oh girl... I'm bleaching my hair right next to the open window. Otherwise I would pass out. Well, she should call this video "Everything what not to do when bleaching your hair if you stick to your life".
She should of locked her cat in another room, instead of her. And she could of bought some gloves for her size, in any store. A lot of other difficulties she encountered could have been easly resolved, but at the heat of moment... 🤷
There is a reason hairdressers train ..too many chemicals to mess around.I do always feel.sorry for the fails..hair budda does always give good advice.💙uk
I get my hair colored occasionally at the salon. My stylist can do what I want without messing up. I want a temporary change that won’t affect my natural color. Plus he can help me pick a good color.
I knew nothing at all about hair, can't even style it 🙈 I always go to a salon and my close friend owns her own, I now regularly shock her with knowledge about hair now, she's so impressed ... even I start shouting at my phone when I know things will go wrong and what to do... I've learnt so much by just watching you, plus my husband watches to and we enjoy watching you shout and people having a meltdown 🤣🤣
Thank you Hair Buddha for uploading and reacting to these videos. It's an edication tomlesrn from you what is correct and what is a no no when it comes to colouring hair ❤️😊
Watching these hair fail videos remind me why I don't bleach my own hair. They reassure me I am doing the right thing by leaving my hair alone and only getting it done by professionals.
I have never touched my hair with any bleach or color and will never do it but.. I am so interested listening to you talking all about those processes videos after video x)
Hair Buddha, you once showed us an elderly lady from somewhere in Asia putting her hair into a bun or knot of some kind without Bobby pins or clips. Would you be willing to show us how to do that?
this video seriously scared me. I really hope she is O.K. Your eyes, airways and lungs are so sensitive! Her neck looked like chemical burns mixed with contact dermatitis. The problem is once you irritated your skin so much with a harsh chemical it's possible to have an even more extrem reaction the next encounter because your immune system recognizes it. I know it's not that important- but I feel so sorry for her beautiful hair. BTW who sold her a liquid developer for bleaching? I only use liquid developer in an extremely low concentration for eyebrows and lashes. Please let a professional fix it and never touch it again...
She needed a few sections of testing before hand just to see what colour would come out and what the condition would be on already bleached hair so looking forward to the end
I had 40” long hair and used to box dye my hair, I used the same box every time for years but I never skipped the patch test. When I bleached it I just went to the salon though (after the dye had grown out, which took over 3 years and my hair grows extremely fast).
She is definitely a Southern girl and we have a saying down here in Nashville and throughout our Southern Region we say Bless her heart. It has a double meaning to be used in a loving way or a snarky way. Bless her heart she did this. Like who is this silly . Bless her heart.
I so get the double meaning! I'm Canadian, I was born here, but my Mum is from the Southern US, she's from North Carolina, she always used to say this, and so does all my family down in NC.
12:54 OMG girl that's a severe allergic reaction rinse off then get to the ER fast, I was scared to death for her I'm glad she didn't end up seriously ill. After that I'd never bleach again dye it a nice color and leave it alone. The first time I bleached my hair I was 16 and did a patch test first always patch test first folks
@hair_budda that rash happened to me AFTER using a box dye! And lasted 3 months! I had to medicate my neck and keep it covered. Now I have to keep my hair up always!
I'm allergic to hair dye ( not bleach ) and I had a serious reaction. My scalp, neck, and ears pretty much melted. Anywhere the dye touched had weeping blisters that continuously oozed and crusted over, then oozed some more. My face head and neck swelled so bad that I was unable to open my eyes and was completely unrecognisable. The swelling and sores took over a month to heal. It turns out I'm allergic to PPD. I had been dying my hair for years with no problems, then one day it started to burn, so I washed it out, but it was too late. Apparently, this is very common with this allergy. You can be fine than all of a sudden NOPE you now can't dye your hair for life. If anyone notices any kind of reaction, they should rinse and seek medical advice straight away.
I was so scared for her my Lord bleech is not a safe chemical and definitely should be used safely 😱💕 thankyou for another wonderful video always learning so much from you sending you and your family love and light 💛 always

Edit: Of course Hair Buddha knows how to fix it.
Hope you are ok girl
Her experience needs to be added to why a patch test at home is a must!!
hair buddhas reactions give me life/serotonin
@@user-is7xs1mr9y It does every time. The Emergency rooms are just stress incarnate.
And you're soooo right : rinse, rinse, rinse.
Same, Schwarzkopf makes my scalp burn and itch but Wella doesn't irritate my skin at all!
@@rosanna415 he does always tend to say they should use 30vol regardless of what the process is.
@@amandarobbins2530 I’m back to say that in his most recent videos, he said 30 volumes solves all problems. So I will retract my original statement.
@@rosanna415 the point is, if you wanna go light blonde, at home with no professional help, then you need to use 30 developer. Only professionals can get your hair evenly light with 20 developer. So it's much better for your hair to bleach it once with 30, than to bleach it couple of times with 20.
Plus no gloves.
I definitely learned a lesson. You’re my favourite hair reaction channel! Just discovered you today
My favorite part of the day is here again. 😃 I'm so glad you're back, Hair Buddha.
🌞❤🌈
I never understood why people color their hair, at home, right before a trip 😅 yall are out here with so much optimism and I want some
You’re such a professional ,,and such a caring human being ❤
If this wasnt a public service announcement to leave it to the professionals, I dont know what is!!
Definitely pays off to take the time to do a skin and strand test with products you've never used
I've had a professional destroy my hair with bleach (leaving it for too long for my fine hair...) That's why I don't do highlights anymore. I just dye my hair myself.
If you have a blanket of hair then sure...
30 developer with no gloves. I'm done here.
She said Brad Mondo always recommends 30 volume……another reason I don’t watch his videos.
Thank you Hair Buddha for all your honest true videos and sharing your tips much appreciated blessings peace and love ❤
Hair Buddha to the rescue!❤️
Hair Buddha and myself simultaneously gasped ‘OH MY GOD’ upon seeing the neck 😱😂
Your face, when she said that she was due to go to Vegas. LMAO!
thanks for your content. it's always joy time when u post....
I'm fairly sure the cat would be too smart to stay in the bathroom with those fumes once it got a whiff of it. She could've opened the door.
I love your videos too! You make me smile everyday!🙏👍😃
Thanks for caring and sharing this information to help us.
Omg 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😵 this is madness!
Love that you give helpful comments, Hair Buddah.
So beautiful hair, I´m really jealous... I hope she is okay and don´t bleached it by herself anymore.
Thanks for the video and have a good day.
Love your videos!
The mixture of concern and disgust at the techniques used here is intense!
Thank you Hair Buddha for uploading and reacting to these videos. It's an edication tomlesrn from you what is correct and what is a no no when it comes to colouring hair ❤️😊
Good advice Hair Buddha! 👍🏻
Omg you make me laugh so much with your reactions and facial expressions lmao 🤣
FYI The increased risk isn't only for that allergen but for *any* allergic reaction!
I learn so much! Thank you ! 😊
She needed a few sections of testing before hand just to see what colour would come out and what the condition would be on already bleached hair so looking forward to the end
I live on this channel 😂😂💕
I had 40” long hair and used to box dye my hair, I used the same box every time for years but I never skipped the patch test. When I bleached it I just went to the salon though (after the dye had grown out, which took over 3 years and my hair grows extremely fast).
Lesson 1. Buy a wig if you want to change your hair. 2 if you must dye your hair go to a professional.
"I don't know if yall can see that"....
Oh sis, we see it. We definitely see it.
I learned a lot like in every of your videos! 🥰
Hair Buddha you rock😊
His english so clear, i understand every single word
12:54 OMG girl that's a severe allergic reaction rinse off then get to the ER fast, I was scared to death for her I'm glad she didn't end up seriously ill. After that I'd never bleach again dye it a nice color and leave it alone. The first time I bleached my hair I was 16 and did a patch test first always patch test first folks
@hair_budda that rash happened to me AFTER using a box dye! And lasted 3 months! I had to medicate my neck and keep it covered. Now I have to keep my hair up always!
This is the first hairdresser reacts video that actually made me sad :(
Gente que loucura, essa meninada é louca
Last time I used Nair, I got a rash like that. Somehow, Veet doesn't do the same thing. But that was the last time I used Nair for a reason.
She made a noble sacrifice for knowledge
Omg that's terrible. Lmao at the friend more bothered at showing her muscles than listening to her friend who is "melting" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOVE YOUR SHIRT BUDDAH ❤️🤙🏼
All your Videos wonderfull ❤ You are amazing 💝👏👍
I was so scared for her my Lord bleech is not a safe chemical and definitely should be used safely 😱💕 thankyou for another wonderful video always learning so much from you sending you and your family love and light 💛 always
They have this new invention called ventilation fans! You usually find them in bathrooms on the ceiling. I've seen one once and it really did work to ventilate the room.. 🤣
