    Man I really like that unpretentious workflow and the way you do things. So much easier and straight to the point. Didn't know about the shadow catcher thingy, I usually use the octanetag to render out the shadows as render layers. But that's good to know too! Thanks for these tuts, I hope you keep posting more!

    Really enjoyed this tutorial. I've been struggling with using HDRi's properly in C4D whilst learning, albeit using the physical renderer, so appreciate this octane example.
    Would love to see this with Redshift or the in-house physical renderer for learning, too.

      No problem! It’s great how simple the dynamic linking is. and octane’s shadow catcher is hugely convenient if you’re working in Octane
