The Worst Anime Game of All Time: Jump Force. This 2019 game may look great and have the best anime characters ever, but its story mode is not fun to play through.
As someone who has the platinum the combat gets boring extremely fast, the winner is the first one to land a combo since make a death combo is as easy as breathing.
The game is decent. The problem was the plot and the way they decided we should play it, the battles get repetitive and boring after a while. But that aside it is stull pretty good to play with your friends
Jumpforce isn’t bad. It’s the people that spam and abuse certain mechanics in the game that make it annoying to play online. I still play it with friends and it’s fun. The broken mechanics should’ve been fixed since people complained, but I think it’s solid if people don’t guard breaks cheese and R3.

This game was the TRUE definition of a rushed product… I mean seriously, it was coo for like a hot second with the colors and the graphics, everybody under one universe of anime. Right? But then all of that dies after the first two missions. You get to see the unpolished combat, NO VOICE ACTING, customization was coo (kinda), etc. It really felt like they took 4-6 months, created the foundation for the game, then sold us just that, the early development showcase build 😭
Honestly if I had to say the worst anime game it’s Ultimate tenkiechi for me but personally I would love to see Jump force try again on a game like this to make it better
Jump Force could’ve been so good, the character creation could’ve had you choose from a Saiyan where you get to unlock skills like Kaio Ken and Super Saiyan with an emphasis on Ki blasts, a Shinobi where you can learn sage mode and a variety of ninjutsu or a Pirate where you can eat a devil fruit and learn armament haki to temporarily buff your attacks. But no, everyone is oiled up as hell for no reason
Awakenings were a huge issue for me. The majority of characters didn’t have their respective awakenings and had dull aura releases. Their awakenings were either in their movesets or just their ultimate.

Naruto, Goku, Ichigo, Luffy, Zoro, Vegeta, Frieza, etc. Characters like Rukia, Renji, Gon, Killua, Sanji, etc who all have awakenings don’t actually have a proper one. Also, I personally think awakenings should’ve change their movesets to stronger attacks they did in their show. It would’ve been way cooler.

Just found this video and all i have to say is, good review. There is one problem with it though, you said all the outfits are micro transactions. This implies that you have to use real world money for every outfit. Which is false, all outfits, except for a small handfull, is either bought with currency you earn by completing the story and missions. Or by completing clothes missions, which is no different from games like Xenoverse and One Punch Man.

We have the first Naruto Ninja Council game, Devilman on the Famicom, Fist of the North Star on NES, Ultimate Battle 22 on PS1 (Saturn version is bad, but not terrible), Ranma 1/2 on SNES. Hell, M.U.S.C.L.E. is not just one of the worst anime games ever made, it's one of the worst games period. Jump Force is only hated on because it had potential. We missed out. It could have been great, and instead we got "okay at best, baffling at worst".

The actual gameplay itself was solid, pretty great mindless fun with friends. The story however was just awful. There’s definitely worse anime games though, like the One Punch Man game and Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash.

That’s great! I would have preferred a straight fighting game with little storyline myself. Kind of like an old SNK game. And certain characters like Yugi are just really fun to play
I think they should add updates like recent powerups that the characters get in their shows or maybe more characters like rocklee or gohan and maybe ash ketchum all i know is that we want more dragonball and naruto characters.

Different studios for the dubs is why. So if they got Funimation actors they wouldn’t have Naruto actors. This actually happened with some of the Gundam games. They went with the Ocean Group so some of the pilots had to be recast.
Hell no that would and will never happen. The amount of cost would be insane. But they could use voicelines from past games but would also cost as they'd have to pay the actors to use them anyway. There is a reason why all crossover anime have no english dub. Even normal anime games many don't have an English dub as it is. So no it would not have changed a thing or made it the goat at all. Would just have thrown money out the window. They should have taken alittle more time or been given more resources for the animations and/or balancing if they could have done something about it. The graphics and particle effects in this game were the goat though like so awesome to look.

Although with a bit of struggle its possible I have the ps4 physical copy with no dlc... The online servers are still very much active...its easy to find match but i dont play it as the players are extremely sweaty and if u r playing it for fun u will start hating the game...just play with bots or couch play with friends...
It definitely wasn't the worst anime game, it just has INSANELY HIGH expectations cuz it's the 50th anniversary project of the biggest manga magazine ever. A more accurate description would be the most disappointing anime game.

me and my friend played alot of jump force and we had a lot of fun and the story missions might be repetitive but I actually felt like I was watching a amine 😭 I think jump force was a great game when not played seriously and it’s a shame they shut down the server’s after they gave out all of the DLC characters for free
I never thought Jump Force was but a lot of people say that. I loved playing with my friends in the barracks, those were some of the best nights. I will say the story was terrible and I waited the whole time for Light and Ryuk to do something but they never did.

Jump forces is quite literally my favorite game of all time. I never played a singke online match if Im being honest. Yet I still logged over 100 hours grinding S rank out of every solo mission and enjoyed the hell out of it.
@@duskkoala I never uninstalled the game so IDK. As of like 2 months ago the game was still playable offline. I believe the you can still play all solo content offline.
The thing I dont like about this game is that theres no manga textures on all characters think about like a character pulling out from a manga and the maps from anime should have the anime texture

I thought this game was fire and feel blessed I bought the disc copy now that it’s unavailable online. People are way too hard on this game, what anime game is better that did what this game did bringing characters together? As a gamer I can’t imagine choosing any Naruto game over No Mans Sky or Skyrim, that’s being generous not comparing anime games to any MMO games like COD or Battlefront.

I tried to play this those days and damn... It's very awful) One Piece World Seeker Jump force is just the first Jump Crossover that reached the non-anime fans that like games or fighting games, and that's why this game got all this hate. Before Jump Force we had J-Stars Victory VS that was almost the same as jump force but with less mechanics and more unpopular characters.

Story mode was terrible, but even this alone would not be the worst anime game. There's a lot of shitty anime games like Saint Seyia on NES, and many DB and DBZ games. PS3 game of Bleach was empty af. And can we talk about One Piece World Seeker ?! Jump Force had a terrible story mode with face-blanked characters and terrible animations during cinematics of the story, but the animations during the fights are awesome and with a good cast and the best is that we have almost all the original japanese dub with the only exception of Ryûk who does not have any voice in game.
Why couldn't they have updated the game more! 😭 I wish we got the new forms of these characters(G5, Ashura 9S-S, Ifrit Jambe, MUI, UE, OP, PCM, OFA(all quirks)), new character themes(JP6, Awakened DIO, GT Vegeta/Goku(with the transformations replacing SSJ&SSJB), Wano fits, color schemes), and new characters themselves(Kakyoin, Bruno, Jonathan, Broly, Gohan, Koby, Chopper, Jimbei, Katakuri, Rock Lee, Gojo, Yuji, etc.), and more character effects("Menancing" on stand users, armament on block and observation glare on high speeds, etc.)

the only thing that really sucks for me is I can't not play the game in dub it will be so much better and easier to play the game if it got a dub voice too but I guess that's why we can't have nice things
Different studios for the dubs is why. So if they got Funimation actors they wouldn’t have Naruto actors. This actually happened with some of the Gundam games. They went with the Ocean Group so some of the pilots had to be recast.

Hell no that would and will never happen. The amount of cost would be insane. But they could use voicelines from past games but would also cost as they'd have to pay the actors to use them anyway. There is a reason why all crossover anime have no english dub. Even normal anime games many don't have an English dub as it is. So no it would not have changed a thing or made it the goat at all. Would just have thrown money out the window. They should have taken alittle more time or been given more resources for the animations and/or balancing if they could have done something about it. The graphics and particle effects in this game were the goat though like so awesome to look.
I play it offline with bots regularly and its lot of fun...
Just dont play online as it will cause u a lot of rage

I have the ps4 physical copy with no dlc...
The online servers are still very much active...its easy to find match but i dont play it as the players are extremely sweaty and if u r playing it for fun u will start hating the game...just play with bots or couch play with friends...
It definitely wasn't the worst anime game, it just has INSANELY HIGH expectations cuz it's the 50th anniversary project of the biggest manga magazine ever.

me and my friend played alot of jump force and we had a lot of fun and the story missions might be repetitive but I actually felt like I was watching a amine 😭 I think jump force was a great game when not played seriously and it’s a shame they shut down the server’s after they gave out all of the DLC characters for free

I never thought Jump Force was but a lot of people say that. I loved playing with my friends in the barracks, those were some of the best nights. I will say the story was terrible and I waited the whole time for Light and Ryuk to do something but they never did.
If you can get a hold of it, the first Naruto GameCube 4 player game is really fun

Jump forces is quite literally my favorite game of all time. I never played a singke online match if Im being honest. Yet I still logged over 100 hours grinding S rank out of every solo mission and enjoyed the hell out of it.
Are there parts of the game that are inaccessible now? And would you be able to reinstall after uninstalling it?
@@duskkoala I never uninstalled the game so IDK. As of like 2 months ago the game was still playable offline. I believe the you can still play all solo content offline.
The thing I dont like about this game is that theres no manga textures on all characters think about like a character pulling out from a manga and the maps from anime should have the anime texture

I thought this game was fire and feel blessed I bought the disc copy now that it’s unavailable online.
People are way too hard on this game, what anime game is better that did what this game did bringing characters together? As a gamer I can’t imagine choosing any Naruto game over No Mans Sky or Skyrim, that’s being generous not comparing anime games to any MMO games like COD or Battlefront.

Jump force is just the first Jump Crossover that reached the non-anime fans that like games or fighting games, and that's why this game got all this hate. Before Jump Force we had J-Stars Victory VS that was almost the same as jump force but with less mechanics and more unpopular characters.
I disagree but you made some good points. The game has been pulled from marketplaces. Which is something that happened to another anime fighting game.
Alot of games are unfinished projects these days. Stop giving these companies money when they are capable of pushing out a (completed) version.
That’s why I made this. If we keep buying low effort games, then that’s all we’ll get.

The game only really cares about Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto. No one else on the roster
Hopefully the next jump game puts in some really obscure characters. They’re always the best to play in any fighting game
Story mode was terrible, but even this alone would not be the worst anime game. There's a lot of shitty anime games like Saint Seyia on NES, and many DB and DBZ games. PS3 game of Bleach was empty af. And can we talk about One Piece World Seeker ?! Jump Force had a terrible story mode with face-blanked characters and terrible animations during cinematics of the story, but the animations during the fights are awesome and with a good cast and the best is that we have almost all the original japanese dub with the only exception of Ryûk who does not have any voice in game.
I would have liked it better if it was just a straight fighter. Like a tournament for the characters
Why couldn't they have updated the game more! 😭 I wish we got the new forms of these characters(G5, Ashura 9S-S, Ifrit Jambe, MUI, UE, OP, PCM, OFA(all quirks)), new character themes(JP6, Awakened DIO, GT Vegeta/Goku(with the transformations replacing SSJ&SSJB), Wano fits, color schemes), and new characters themselves(Kakyoin, Bruno, Jonathan, Broly, Gohan, Koby, Chopper, Jimbei, Katakuri, Rock Lee, Gojo, Yuji, etc.), and more character effects("Menancing" on stand users, armament on block and observation glare on high speeds, etc.)
The answer, cash grab. If the game was pulled due to licensing, it wasn’t meant to last long. And it seems like they knew that.
THE STORY LINE SUCKS but the combat is SO MUCH FUN who would have thought that I can use dio and smack jotoros butt
