Guys I`m producing an 80's song with classic synths and other few free VST and I'm loving the result! Thanks so much LABS!!! Love ya!!
Heck I need to go back my roots and produce some 80's tunes again.
This is LITERALLY exactly what I needed right now. Thank you LABS.
I use your sounds in virtually every backing track and piece of music I create. They're brilliant and I'm very grateful for what you do for the music community. Thanks LABS! 🎉

Super Sounds!
That dust collector surely has personality! - Thank you so much for these.
Very nice instrument!
Thank you.
Awesome
So good i love it 👏👏
Spitfire really are the best.
They make expensive plug-ins for professionals, but then offer loads of fantastic, high-quality libraries for free, to semi-professionals and amateurs.
FOR FREEEEEEEEE. Man for free and this is most apprecitable thing on this planet, that the quality is so awesome and also comfortable to use for anyone except studying a plugin and figure out what works and what doesn't like Kontakt...
I use the FREE LABS collection(s) more than things I've paid for - great stuff.
This unlocked my inner geek🤩
Cool!
Sounds good.
The Dust Collector, The Banker, and Digital Control are baller af and I can't wait to dig into that. Gonna disappear into those for a week.
Another great labs product. Just one question though about Labs - how do I save a preset? There is a load and clear, but no save button.
Labs is a godsent!
Fire ❤
YES!!!!
Let’s go!
Good job
What if you wanna use the mod wheel for modulation ?
Hi, Oliver.
Hope you are well 🙂.
Hey... Just outta curiosity, do you know what particular reverb is used in the plugins.
love the Labs ! what is the cool little white midi controller w/ fades & knobs you are using please, looks very handy !
Looks like the korg nanokontrol 2, pretty small but surely handy midi controller with assignable faders. I've got the studio version which has longer faders for better control as well as it being wireless and having more assignable buttons. I can vouch for the quality, pretty decent brand if you ask me.
It's a Korg NanoKontrol 2. I use one and I recommend it, it's small so it's ideal for use with a laptop to offer you a portable setup or if you are looking for a way to save space. You can get the NanoKontrol Studio mentioned by Ricky AstrL which is bigger - though still fairly small and very portable. If it matters to you - it doesn't to me - they are also available in a range of colours if you shop around. Colours other than black & white can be hard to find and are often overpriced.
I was having a hard time for a movie I was scoring. It was for the end scene. Ive used spitfirelab just to get whatever. Then magic came out!
I'm trying to install with Ableton live lite 9 and cannot find the plugins folder and do not know how to get it functioning any help would be appreciated
i see you have a mininova in some prime real estate do you like it i have one and love the wavetable pads it makes
hey to my more experienced producers, what is that white rectangular controller thingy top left of the keyboard? And what does it do? Thanks. It looks useful.
Can anyone recommend a good MIDI expression controller to use with the LABS suite? I want use orchestral string and brass sounds, so I need an expression controller for intensity as well as volume. I'm using Pro Tools 12.8.3 on OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra, Focusrite Clarett 8Pre via Thunderbolt. Any suggestions gratefully received!
Spitfire is batting a thousand.😁🎵🎹🎶Play On
this is kind of content musicians need everywhere at all times. you guys are doing the world a huge favor
Crazy
This is awesome! Does anybody know what is that little device with the sliders on his left called?
My eyesight is terrible, but it looks like a Korg nanoKontrol 2.
Can I make presets by any chance?
Any plans of adding a Roland D50 to the mix eventually?
Great! What is the small controller on the keyboard?
Korg nanoKontrol 2!
Could anyone explain to me how to roughly reproduce the sound at 4:20 (The Banker)? As a beginner my guess would be something like saw wave + filter and high resonance + lots of distortion and reverb, octaves are doubled, but I cannot really get close to it. Where does this certain scratchy part come from?
tbh, I would definitely not use a saw for this, but look at square and/or sine. Since sine waves don't have harmonics to work with, I would choose square (which are usually used on vintage synths to replicate flute-ish sounds). Do they indicate which synth they used to make this sound? Otherwise it narrows down the options by looking at the synths specs. But honestly, I think the sort of grittiness will be the hardest thing to achieve, and there's nobody there saying they only used the original synths and left them pure. Of course not, they added external FX afterwards. I would automatically go for my bit crusher (but use it mildly) and then definitely use a LP filter to take out most of the (top frequency) harshness afterwards.
btw, not sure if you have a Juno 60 (or just a plugin replicating it), but I once spent many hours making the original patches on the Juno 60 on my own Juno 60, using the original Roland manual. It was quite a nice learning trip. I did the same on my SH101 as well. All of these manuals are freely available online, and following that stuff really makes you enjoy the limits of these old synths and yet what they could do with them. Just a tip. ;) And you don't need the originals (though I admit, having them is fun), just plugins will do as well, as long as you don't cheat by using the extra's they usually add to the plugins...
I have an old Oberheim Matrix 1000 synth module that has old sounds like these, I just need to learn how to sample it ha ha .
awesome!
wow dream room.
❤💥
Sounds great! A bigger collection of analogue synths as a paid version would be great!
Andrey, try some Soundpaint libraries🙋…
@@ivanmisurecmouseproduction493 Soundpaint is great, but this product has a certain viby warmth that is absent in Soundpaint analogue synths. They are more about Roland and Prophets sounds pallette from what I heard.
I think it would be useful to know what preset was made with what synth.
Or will there be a competition?
Que celui qui n'aime pas passe son chemin. Pour les autres, l'avantage est que c'est gratuit.
👍 - _also_ for the YT algo! 😊
I've spent a few grand on Spitfire and love the labs stuff too. (Kind of like the remnants and fun experiments of the paid-for-libraries). However, I'm going to put out a request: Please get a smoother mod-wheel experience. Many times, using the mod-wheel as we see here, doesn't go as smooth. I find a lot of hiccups between transitions. I suspect the samples are out of alignment or there aren't enough layers? In any event, this need to be tidied up. Looking forward to the future. Love this new freebie! ✌
Lush sounds!
LABS > Kontakt. Fight me!
I guess LABS is as dead as Monty Phython´s parrot by now, after Christian Henson was thrown under a lorry by his own company just for stating his opinion on a very debatable issue. luckily for all of us, her founded Crowhill, where free gems are being released every month...
"Pay no attention to us defending transphobia, have a free new LABS library!"
Transphobia isn’t real, just like trans women.
Nobody is afraid of trans people. We are against the trans agenda. Chop off your own bits but leave the kids alone. Is that transphobic?
?
tf is wrong with you dewd, it's about music not political or fashistic topics..... -.- get your life a balance, bloke.
Christian Henson left Spitfire Audio end of february.
nice sounding transphobia
No thanks. I'm good.
Free LABS has always encouraged me to spend my money on expensive libraries. SPITFIRE is dedicated to its craft.
Thank you
