My hardtail's fork is marked for 100mm of travel but i seem to get only 80 till i cant push it down any further. Will i still be capable of doing technical trails on this bike?
Catching up on old vids. This was just so scenic. Man!! Bookmarked for the future. Hot Tomato looks like a really fun spot, too. I might have to watch this one again.. Nothing better than a dusk/sunset ride!
I didn't recognize your avatar at first lol I like the new one! And thank you dude, I believe in being respectful on the trail as well as having fun. Everyone is out there for a good time, so generally are in great moods and stopping to say hey only makes things better :D
That's me hitting a huge gap jump on my 450 ;) I ride with a few people who will just ride right past someone on, or near the trail without saying a word.....weird. I do what you do and always say hello!
I think the mtb community is awesome, and that this is a habit for me created by having most other riders do it to me. I never ride past someone who is stopped on the side of the trail without saying hello and making sure they are all good. I just
The Singletrack Sampler that's awesome to hear, i am the same way. I enjoy talking to people even if it's just saying "how's it going" even if they look at me like I'm a weirdo. When my children were little we would be somewhere and a person would walk by and if we made i contact i would say "how's it going" and my children would always ask "dad did you know them" and i would tell them "no I just said hello".

Always cool to get new friends to ride with. Those trails were awesome!
this is awesome! glad you're still getting out - we need to hit it again! - Thanks for the shoutout!.... however, I need the gimbal to be worthy of a shoutout... haha
Dude I just ordered another one... we brought it to the pump track yesterday. When you get back in town we'll have to go hit it! I should get my new wheels in by this weekend!!
Well thank you. I haven't been down there yet. I will look to but I don't have a car. However all that matters is I can hit some amazing trails from my front door.
Have to agree man that trail looked like so much fun. Sooo flowy and some sweet booters. Were those table tops in there as well? Love how you were catching air and pulling wheelies - I could feel the excitment the whole way. And man i gotta say, what a breath taking location. I really gotta get down to those parts and check it out. Thanks again for another great one!
The Singletrack Sampler Cheap Chinese lights are really good only £25 .Run two so you have one on your head and you will nearly hit daylight speeds . I ran 4 of them it was so bright it was funny !
Dude IKR? I was seriously sketched out when dropping in on the ridge because you just couldn't see a thing at points, and I even had on my darkest glasses!
Super Rad to ride with some Subs!!!! Like I said before, down to earth MTB Nomad! Keep shredding Bro.! By the way I changed my channel name and am going to start something pretty cool, at least for me.
Awwww. Yeah first thing I thought where is the orange? Lol hey why did you choose to aluminum was it strictly a funds issue? What are thaughts in comparison?
haha my baby orange is out for the moment, but she'll be back up and running soon (yes, she's a lady, cuz I ride her, duh! lol) I chose the aluminum this go around so that I could also afford my DJ bike at the same time. I had a carbon last bike, and really haven't noticed a difference. What I have noticed is that I got better components on this top end aluminum build and my skills have increased a ton since getting the dirt jumper.
Hell yea man! I love riding with people and making new friends. Since I travel solo, meeting fun people that I can hang out and ride with is a real welcome opportunity for me.
Think of a flat tortilla, and then think about what you do to make it the shape you need for a taco. The flat tortilla is the wheel, and the taco is my wheel now ;)
I've been having some technical issues with the gimbal for a while now, something about the wires being crimped too tight in the remote. Big bummer, but I'll get it fixed. My buddy Aaron, whose house I'm staying at, was kind enough to let me ride his XC 29er Felt. I gotta say, that thing was fun!
Poll your subscribers. I think it would be interesting if before you started riding to introduce your riding buddies and the bikes they're riding. Thank's,....
This is the type of trail i like. Super flowy and fun for my hardtail.
Oh yea, perfect for a hardtail. I was on a short travel XC bike and it was great.
My hardtail's fork is marked for 100mm of travel but i seem to get only 80 till i cant push it down any further. Will i still be capable of doing technical trails on this bike?
Absolutely. You just need to be very precise with your line choice. It will make you a smart rider.
Very cool! The sunset looked awesome and so did whatever those pizza-esque things at the end were!
Strombolis!!!! nomnomnomnom
Oh my god I'm bringing my hard tail, I'll be right there!
You won't 😝

Like a Rock Star! BTW, I like how you always greet other riders and hikers on the trail, instead of just blasting by them.... Keep it up!

I agree. Love meeting new people, and what better way to get to know someone than to hit the trails with them!?
Best video yet. Those long flowy trails look super fun.
Wow, thank you dude! Like I say about these trails: they aren't the most technically demanding, but damn is the smile factor high!
Where's your next destination? I look forward to seeing you ride some of our local trails in Whistler eventually.
I actually don't know where I'll be heading yet. I have a goal of getting up to Whistler next season, and I'm very determined to make it happen.
Wow, that trail looks like so much fun! You guys were in the zone! I would love to have a trail like that with perfect rollers every 20 feet.
Right? Seriously the trail builders here are genius, and definitely understand how to put a smile on my face!
Super Rad trail man!!!! Loving the vids!! Keep shredding sir!!
Thank you kindly sir! So stoked you enjoy my videos. That's all I need to keep 'em going!
Super Cool! Like the flow and design of that trail.
These trail builders killed it!

Awesome to see people visiting our little town
I love this place!!
I do too :)
Awesome video man! Love the scenery
Thanks Chris, the sunset that afternoon was quite epic!

Yewwwww! Gotta love it dude, we're riding bikes! Where you from? Can I assume Idaho or something? (cornfields lol)
HA! Well I was in Illinois... But mountains called me to Fort Collins man!
You have chosen.... wisely my friend. lol
I rode some awesome trail in Lyons a few months ago. So much fun and finished at Oskar Blues. 🍻
Well thank you. I haven't been down there yet. I will look to but I don't have a car. However all that matters is I can hit some amazing trails from my front door.

haha those are some famous Hot Tomato strombolis, and man are they delicious!
This is my kinda of trail man. Sweet vid bro...
Thanks TD!
Beautiful country out there!
Absolutely. I always have loved lush green forests, but the desert is definitely growing on me too!
Sweet trail... Looked like fast and fun
Oh yea, if I just point and clicked I'm pretty sure I could hit mach speed on this trail

Better believe it! Tables, booters, hips, those trails have everything! That sunset just made it all the more epic
heard that man! And you included some post ride footage from the Pizzeria! Nice touch Alex.
haha I told you guys I would add that this time! :D
You'd be like: Bottoming out my rear shock.
I'd be like: I wish I had a rear shock...
RIP rear shocks all around XD
Love it man. Keep up he vibes. #dancindownthetrail
oh i like that hashtag. I like it a lot.
Its like dirty dancing but on a bike.
you know what could be a cool series? Night riding. Gotta have efficient light though!
Night riding adds so much excitement to familiar trails!
I've actually thought about that! I think it would definitely be cool too, but man those lights are expensive!!!
The Singletrack Sampler Cheap Chinese lights are really good only £25 .Run two so you have one on your head and you will nearly hit daylight speeds . I ran 4 of them it was so bright it was funny !
haha I've actually used one of those before, and you aren't kidding when you say they are BRIGHT. I can't even imagine using 4 lol
That trail looks amazing.
So many smiles to be had.
That was a cool trail, fast fast fast is my style!
Ohhh yea, buttery smooth and FAST!
Awesome idea! btw, i'm surprised you didn't eat it hardcore. So much glare!
Dude IKR? I was seriously sketched out when dropping in on the ridge because you just couldn't see a thing at points, and I even had on my darkest glasses!
Very nice singletrack!!
Primo!
Super Rad to ride with some Subs!!!! Like I said before, down to earth MTB Nomad! Keep shredding Bro.! By the way I changed my channel name and am going to start something pretty cool, at least for me.
Thanks man, I keep grounded for sure, I mean, I sleep in a tent most of the time lol
Awwww. Yeah first thing I thought where is the orange? Lol hey why did you choose to aluminum was it strictly a funds issue? What are thaughts in comparison?

It's crazy how other disciplines increase your skills. I feel like such a better rider on the trails since I've started doing downhill.
love the vid!
Thanks !
You shred that trail like a Ninja Fruit.
⚔🍉 🚵
That's cool you'll ride with people you run into bro
Hell yea man! I love riding with people and making new friends. Since I travel solo, meeting fun people that I can hang out and ride with is a real welcome opportunity for me.
Ha! nice lil video looks fun bro. what were you eating? keep on riding!
The famous Strombolis of The Hot Tomato!! Seriously delicious. Fun fact: they ran out of dough that night, and that was the very last one!!
The Singletrack Sampler hahaha! no wonder it looks delicious .
That doesnt look like your orange Enduro there Alex ??
I think he's trying to get a replacement for that tacoed wheel? I think he had to switch to a temp bike for a bit.
Nope, my poor baby is still out of commission :'(
This is my friends bike who was super kind in letting me take it for a spin.
Think of a flat tortilla, and then think about what you do to make it the shape you need for a taco. The flat tortilla is the wheel, and the taco is my wheel now ;)
at first i was like where is he going with this and then i'm like ohhhhhhhh
How did you break your gimbal? Also that a loaner bike you on?
I've been having some technical issues with the gimbal for a while now, something about the wires being crimped too tight in the remote. Big bummer, but I'll get it fixed.
My buddy Aaron, whose house I'm staying at, was kind enough to let me ride his XC 29er Felt. I gotta say, that thing was fun!
Did you get another bike or was that a loaner till your rear wheel gets replaced? Great riding as usual!
Hey dude! I didn't, this was a loaner from my buddy Aaron. It's a XC 29er Felt, and it actually felt great! I hope to get my new hoops this week!!
👍👍👌👌
🙉 🍺 🚵
what pedals do you use
Specialized Boomslangs
Gnarly
💪
Is that a new bike????!!!
It's a borrowed bike from my buddy :D
However, I SHOULD be getting my wheels tomorrow!!!!!!
So Alex was that you in front?
Yep!
Is that a new bike or a rental?
This is my buddies bike he let me borrow, I should have my new wheels in by this weekend!!!
First!
Poll your subscribers. I think it would be interesting if before you started riding to introduce your riding buddies and the bikes they're riding. Thank's,....
Hey John, I like that idea. I plan on doing many more episodes of Riding With Subs, and I think it will continue to evolve.
I actually have never ridden in the NE. I'll get up there someday though
What kind of bike were you on in this video? If you ever don't want to be recognised, shave the beard and cut the hair.
haha but why would I not want to get recognized? We had so much fun!!!
You have some keen eyes: my buddy let me borrow his XC bike, it's a Felt.
