Atleast a single foreigner who congratulated us unlike others who're mocking balantlessly as if we Indians are incompetent to achieve any heights of success and forever look at Europeans for their mercy after exploiting india for 300 years. Science don't belong to Europe nor space belong to Europe. Why Europe couldn't achieve the height like India in space despite of so much comfort and Humegruous budget.
Firstly not a single mission of ISRO has exceeded the budget of even 80 million dollar till this day. And secondly almost all ISRO mission budget is around 40-59 million dollar.
ISRO generates a huge revenue too and provides employment to so many peoples. But explain me how Europe is benefited by wasting money on invading middle East and African countries and bombing innocent civilians. Ain't those invasions helped to tackle Europe's rising homeless population and stragnant economy... every country has challenges but all start from something to reach somewhere. But despite of so much challenges india still overtook so many developed countries in space who despite of so comfort and Humegruous budget couldn't achieve the height ISRO did with so less budget. And yes india is not in race with China and USA cuz ISRO's budget is as much as lowest possible budget in the entire world. ISRO's majority mission budget is around 40-50 million dollar

To the sun? That's insane!
“To the sun” doesn’t mean Aditya L1 is going anywhere near the sun but only that it will travel a small distance towards the sun to study it. It will only travel out from Earth by 1.5 million km (930,000 miles) which is only 1% closer to to the sun than Earth. NASA’s Parker Solar probe went as close as 6.9 million km (4.3 million miles) to the sun. This is only 9.86 solar radii from the sun, whereas Aditya L1 will be about 211 solar radii away.

Why not spend the money on fixing poverty, 84% of the population living on £5 a day is not impressive.
Since the UK gave Independence to India in a dire poverty stricken state after looting 45 trillion over 89 years of British Raj and killing many of its people, India has proudly made strides to reduce its poverty numbers to just 16% of its population as well as advance its country and is now making contributions to science.
A country doesn’t need to put of scientific developments pending resolving all poverty because poverty will always exist. A prime example is where the UK has 22% of its population in poverty as of 2023 even after looting India 76 years ago (not to mention all the other countries it looted as well during its Colonialism). For a ‘developed’ country, that’s more concerning.

I think that they will have a few months to a few years of public support, but after a while the realities of India's serious economic and social problems will make their space program a target for public rage. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens much sooner. While India is on an upward economic trajectory, the majority of its citizens are not going to benefit from it, in the near future. As the problems caused by global climate change intensify, poverty, displacement, and unrest will only increase.

What are they going in the night ???
First you learn about solar system and solar mission idiot
A country with millions of homeless street children shouldn’t be wasting money on this
Since the UK gave Independence to India in a dire poverty stricken state after looting 45 trillion over 89 years of British Raj and killing many of its people, India has proudly made strides to reduce its poverty numbers to just 16% of its population as well as advance its country and is now making contributions to science.
A country doesn’t need to put of scientific developments pending resolving all poverty because poverty will always exist. A prime example is where the UK has 22% of its population in poverty as of 2023 even after looting India 76 years ago (not to mention all the other countries it looted as well during its Colonialism). For a ‘developed’ country, that’s more concerning
The brakes suddenly got applied on this program, when it was pointed out to the Indians that the sun is extraordinarily hot and a rocket of any kind would burn up before ever reaching the sun. 'Not to worry' said the Indian scientists, 'we'll go at night'! TRUE STORY!
This is where it takes education, well lagrange is a point.

Well, ultimately you have Great Britain to thank for it. If you were not a former colony of that once powerful empire, you wouldn't be launching vehicles of any kind into space, of that I am sure!@@food_we_live
Congratulations from the UK 🇬🇧 to India 🇮🇳 and team ISRO for taking a new scientific stride 🎉 since your independence from the UK where the country was left to you in a dire state, you have shown in just 76 years commendable advancements in your country and now for humanity 👏 great achievement
There seems to be some confusion about how close this probe will get to the sun. Aditya L1 will only travel oit from earth by 1.5 million km (930,057 miles), so will only be 1% closer to the sun than Earth. Only one probe can truly claim to have gone “to the sun” and that is NASA’s Parker Solar Probe which approached as close as 6.9 million km (4.3 million miles) or 9.86 solar radii from the sun.
No one is denying that
@@badlav120 I never said they were “denying” anything. I placed my comment to enlighten all those who seem to be labouring under the misconception that the probe is going much closer than it actually is.
How much foreign aid does the UK give to India?
We calculate that the UK provided around £2.3 billion in aid between 2016 and 2021, including £441 million in bilateral aid, £129 million in development investment via the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office into Indian enterprises which generates returns, £749 million through multilateral channels, and £1 ...14 Mar 2023

The story of Icarus is one of the most famous tales from Greek myth. The tale is often interpreted as being fundamentally about the dangers of hubris, with Icarus' flight a metaphor for man's overreaching of his limits (and coming to a sticky end as a result).

@@lorrainecouch348 Your comment implicates British schooling system which has raised an entire generation on faff and hot air. Space tech development is not about vanity. You would understand that if you had half decent education. Self reliance in satellites and remote sensing, ultra light but strong materials and launching tech help any country defend itself against aggressors such as China without being dependent on the West and critical for India for ending its dependence on Russia, sensors have medical use, efficient powerplants can power up impoverished Indian villages and human waste management system will improve sanitation anywhere including in developed countries leave alone the cause of helio physics that Aditya L-1 is targetting. Not every country has to do things the way you think they should be done. Your bird-brain is incapable of appreciating all this. And they still have lots of villages without clean running water and Millions of Indian children live in extreme poverty,?
ISRO employee thousands of people, also it earns money for the govt by taking private orders
nah man our children dont live in fatherless society like yours
Why Indians hate the British....?
1. More than 100 million Indians died in the first 40 years of British rule.
2. 29 million Indians died under British induced famines designed by Churchill under his military doctrine.
3. India and China were the richest countries in the world than brits came slaughtered Indians and Chinese took their wealth, which made India and China poor.
4. The total value of wealth looted from India is more than $45 trillion dollars.
5. British were worse than nazis because in 200 years, they conducted countless massacres like Jalian walla bhag and Machlipatnam massacre.
6. Churchill and British army raided villages in India took away the entire agricultural yield as reserve stock pile. Which led to more than 4 million deaths of bengali people.
7. Our stolen wealth our artifacts are still in the British museums they won't be returned to us.
8. After all this, they still haven't apologized or paid us our reparations, but they do lecture us on human rights. Almost every day.
This is just a tip of the Ice berg.

We need to all come together and work our hardest on becoming multiplanetary
Why?
@bobjames6622 so a meteor doesn't wipe us out like the dinosaurs, plus we can find new resources from other planets and further our knowledge and understanding of the universe while also having the possibility to advance our civilisation buddy 😊 we need to stop wars and killing eachother and work together
We would do better trying to look after the only planet that is viable. There is no planat B
@@chazwyman How do you know that? Did god speak to you, and tell you that?
If so, please provide your evidence.
Over to you.
@chazwyman there are plenty of viable planets my friend, we know that for a fact its just that they are so far away it would take generations after generations of humans with our current propulsion systems so until we can figure out a faster way of space travel I find it unlikely that we will venture further than our known universe

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't appreciate UK sending aid to us ONE BIT. It was back in 2004 that our government finally had had enough and categorically told your government to stop giving us the peanuts of amounts as aid. But UK continues to send a few hundred million to us every year. And who exactly receives this money? NGOs that ostensibly receive this money to help the "poor", but somehow this money ends up funding "organic protests" against many infrastructure projects our nation undertakes. Our government tried to stop even that and enacted the FCRA law to stop your government from funding protests in our nation. Yet it still continues to this day.
We ourselves gave $2.3 Billion in aid to poor countries across the world just last year (not including loans, lines of credit, currency swaps, contributions to international banks, etc). We are a larger economy than you. We have a larger defence budget than you. We have a larger Space Program than you. We have better coastal security than you. We make more steel than you (and even entire European Union or USA). I could go on and on. At this point, I'd like to insert the "stop it, get some help" meme here. If your people don't want it and our nation don't want it, why the heck is your government so adamant about this?

Another reason for the UK government to stop sending billions of pounds in aid to India this money is needed in the UK not sent to a country that can afford a space program and has a nuclear arsenal.
