TIP: Increase your pocket space (EDC Tip)

This is something I've been doing for many years now. Just take a simple cotter pin and make a hanging pocket clip for your EDC items that don't have them. This will make them hang vertically in your pocket so they don't bunch up at the bottom.

haha, yeah. My wife doesn't get it though, I tried explaining. Nice tip btw, I've tried several pocket clips out and like one that is slim like the one you made. I may have to try making one like yours.

Great tip! I use a pocket clip too but you got me thinking that mine is too wide. Taking up too much pocket real estate. Also is that a skeletool in your back pocket?

Neat idea. For me, one of the most annoying things in life is having something like a flashlight turn sideways at the bottom of your pocket. I put clips on everything I carry.

Does it make it difficult to reach in to get something that is at the bottom of the pocket? For instance, does it obstruct the ability to grab a deep-pocket object or does it snag and come off when you pull your hand back out? Thanks for sharing this tip.

Sean Butler nope haven’t had any issues. I keep it at the far back though. I suppose it you kept it in front it might get in the way

I can see how this could be confusing if you had two or more in the same pocket. You may want you knife and you grab your keys.

cejkwo Mass yeah it would be best to limit one hanging clip per pocket but I keep my knife and flashlight clipped to my same pocket as the hanging pocket clip with my leatherman juice and car key and it’s just fine. And it in in the workshop there is usually a tape measure and a sharpie added to that
