I thought that might of been the wrong show when I saw it, but it got quickly forgotten as the video went on. It's good to see someone pointing out these things and that my brief thoughts on it were correct.
yeah, it's love live, school live is more commonly known as gakkkou gurashi, and to be honest, i was fairly impressed by the directing of someone who did.... that stuff. he still f'ed up the second scene(first in the manga) of the anime though, there should have been only grass sound there, no music, in my opinion. still, he did a very good job with putting in such high amount of details where it wasn't present in the manga(like the visible cracks on morga and goshe legs just after they got repaired), the only scene where i didn't like that is when phos talks with benitoite, it's a fucking gigantic(gigantic enough that it contains at least 2 or 3 completely different scenarios) island with less than 28 people on them, why is every shot of that scene containing 2 different people in the span of 20 seconds?
I know everyone wants Glass to review Made in Abyss. I do as well, but I want him to take his time to make a fantastic video. Made in Abyss is amazing and has a lot of details to dissect, so it will take a bit of time. Keep up great work, Glass!
i hope he will do a "first impressions" on houseki, the manga got poorly reviewed in the west because people miss the point troughout the first volume, but almost everyone who gets to the second volume gets hooked, seeing how this'd mean episode 4(less or more) for the anime, i really want to see how he'd make a dfirst impressions video on it. and yes, i do hope for made in abyss too... but i just hope he'd go easy on the spoilers, i still didn't watch it, but have high hopes for it, at least as much as i had with inverted patema.
A pity Pop Team Epic got delayed to 2018 (was supposed to be in this season). It could've easily taken the crown this year....but it's up against Chio-chan AND Hinamatsuri IN THE SAME SEASON, so alas Memes: The Anime will probably get overlooked.
Joe A. Yeah I was happily surprised Even though there’s some classical character archetypes The protagonist seem genuinely interesting. Guess we’ll have to see week after week how it turns out
i really liked the first cour of the season but the next cour it started focusing more on the stuff which was unappealing to a larger majority who dont quite understand the game (like me) so idk.
Roy Senpai's Fan Club. Gatsu no Lion is from the Shaft studio, which also did Bakemonogatari. You can see a lot in the direction and editing, shots,... The ambience is super calm, warm, I like it. +Joachim Lothrik At the end of the video he asked whether we think he is missing something on his list. So this is the suggesting I am giving him and he can decide from there whether or not he wants to watch it.
I'm actually going to challenge my will and try to save Magus Bride until it finishes so that I can marathon it. It's going to be hard but if I'm sure I can do it :)
YUSSSSSS AS A MANGA READER FOR HOUSEKI NO KUNI FOR YEARSS LET ME TELL U! First, I have to say THis will be the first and Best time I will ever condone CG, It works so perfect with what it intends to accomplish! U will all definitly enjoy it!
october 7 was my birthday. i was more hyped for huoseki than my own yearly celebration of birth. gems have a lot more birthdays than me anyway... about the cg: the non-combat scenes aren't that great, the animation is pretty meh and out of place outside of combat as the characters move way too much to be what they are, but everything else is gorgeous, the amount of details compared to the manga it's like being deaf and then hearing music at the highest quality possible for the first time. talking about music... kinda disappointed that the grass field scene(first scene of the manga) had music in it, and it wasn't very good music either, but i digress, hopefully the future episodes will make me rethink those words.
The first episode of Black Clover did a pretty good job of turning me off of it. Advertisers want it to be compared to Naruto. Naruto has problems but a lot of charm coming from the characters, I can't see anything like that in BC.
Episode 1 and 2 should honestly be seen as one whole episode pilot if anything, it gets the major story ideas set, the backstory etc. I know people are complaining about backstory in episode 2, but this manga really does not have much flashback sections at all, it is for the most part only about moving forward.
ThatCynicalOtaku Depends really, Black Clover is in the same group as Bleach, fantastic artwork and character designs, and that can be interesting for a lot of people. Naruto had excellent art to begin with, but slowly over time, there was very little of it, things becoming simple is not always a bad thing, but Naruto honestly ended up having a pretty "meh" quality to it, it had popularity though, and overall a more interesting story then Bleach, and honestly, the Naruto anime is one of the absolute worst animated adaptions ever....... Part of this is due to the horrendus quality and amount of filler. Bleach at least had solid designs for the filler it had, and the anime quality never dropped that much. Black Clover has so far managed to have very solid artwork, and a lot of great character designs and ideas, it has a very slow start though, where Bleach and Naruto went balls to the walls from the start, BC is a lot slower introduction wise, but even a very annoying character like Asta becomes pretty popular for readers over that slow starter, at least that is how it was with the manga, episode 2 had a sequence that was extremely solid in my opinion, but it has not really shown its hand yet. Like HxH, this is a slow starter.
If Girls' Last Tour sticks to the manga, it's post-apocalyptic survival iyashikei. Two genres that shouldn't work together but kinda do? It's not much like Made in Abyss except in the superficial 'cute characters in a dangerous world' aspect, and the danger in Made in Abyss is far realer than in Girls' Last Tour (there's also a far stronger sense of adventure, mystery, and progress). You can enjoy the show for what it is, but I don't think it'll help with the Made in Abyss withdrawal we're all going through.
I think that Shoujo SR is a "Cute girls do cute things'' genre, while MiA is a definite adventure series. Both share stunning artwork, sound effects and Moe characters, but besides that are quite diffrent. Tho i want SSR to be as good if not better (because history, kettenkrad and nuclear winter stuff) than Made in abyss
Does it look better than the first series? The original was released 2003 which looked great for it's time, the new one is 3D at most parts to cut costs and while the animation might look smoother, it's obvious because the times have changed. I personally don't like the look of the main character in the new series, but at least they've kept the atmosphere the same by not choking you to death with cringy hipocrisy the main character usually has in other series (I'm good you're evil bullshit). Kino is still Kino even with the new look, so I'm looking forward to what the series has to offer.
to be honest, i didn't like the old anime kino either, but you can't really compare to the ad shots of kino as well as the ones in the novel... those are just so much better.
Black Clover, Juuni Taisen, Kino's Journey S2, and The Ancient Magus' Bride will all be dubbed by FUNimation and they will probably premiere within a few weeks. Just throwing that out there for those curious! I'm sure it'll be easier to sit through Black Clover in English is all I'm saying. Unless you wanna hear Asta's screaming the whole episode. :3
I never watch dubs, never ever. But this time I'm actually considering waiting for Bblack Clover's dub, because the va is so incredibly fucking annoying.
the ancient magus bride is one of my favorite manga. I have been so hyped to watch this ever since if found out it was being adapted. I'm really struggling on whether i should watch it right now or finish the manga first. i'm leaning towards the latter.
Preseason hype for BLACK CLOVER?!?! SERIOUSLY??? I've heard it's gonna be worse than Fairy Tail and after seeing the first episode months ago it makes a lot of sense Oh...nevermind...you also have Juuni Taisen...................

Obviously that being Kino No Tabi because you can't really mess it up that easily... I mean solid as in I know it's going to be a good before it aired unless they decided to do something bizarre and unexpected (chibi everything or something I don't know. Okay, I have to admit that I always were a manga reader, using this channel to seek what to read, instead of what to watch ( as 90% of anime is based on manga or novel). This time, for better or worse, Juuni Taisen is the only one I'm not familiar with, but Houseki no Kuni IS something that I'm going to watch. Every tme I was reading new chapter i thought it would be much better as an anime AND OMG, SOMEONE FINALLY UNDERSTOOD HOW TO MAKE PROPER USE OF CGI (aside from Miyazaki's "Princess Mononoke"). P.S. Why UA-cam notifications are deleyed? I litteraly looked at them 2 hours ago and there was nothing new, now it shows your video posted 9 hours ago... strange. P.P.S. Also, based on manga (possible SPOILER ALERT): Black Clover - mostly typical shounen, but close enough thematically to HeroAka to catch on hype train.Black Clover. Houseki - WATCH IT! Juuni Taisen - dunno, never heard of it, but I'll look for manga/novel. Girl last tour - If you like slice of life/"journey of self-discovery" comedies, it's for you. If I remember correctly, manga got a bit darker towards around... vol 3 or 4, but it licensed and now I'm waiting for it to be released in my country, ehhh. Kino's Journey - newer got to it, sorry. The Ancient Magus' Bride - one of the best mangas I've read, but I doubt anime will have anything that manga didn't, so I'm just gonna continue with manga.
Agreed. I'm super glad that The Ancient Magus' Bride got a "full show" treatment (which is so rare nowadays, it should be called the "double episodes" treatment, sadly) !
Please please please review Made in Abyss! My heart skipped a bit just at your mention of it! PLEASE. I've watched tons of anime in the past decade, and honestly few have entranced me as much with their art. music and BRUTAL DISPLAY OF L'APPEL DU VIDE.
It was really awesome ! Just the comedy in it never fails to make me laugh even though i avoid comedy anime AND kekkai sensen doesn't even have a comedy tag . Anyway , i really enjoyed the first episode and it was full of references .
Is RWBY really that popular in Japan? Heard it was pretty well received, but I can never get a number of watchers or anything of the short. Glad it's doing well though. Always liked success stories.
HELP!! So I'm trying to get my fiance into anime (personally I'm quite the weeb) and I just watched Death Note with her and she loved it; but she loved it despite being an anime, it be a terrific show if done in any other format (correctly...) as well; which is why I started with that. What should I watch with her next to ease her into Anime (and eventually to watching my favorite FMA Brotherhood)? She likes character heavy stories. I was thinking maybe Steins Gate or Monster (I haven't seen either and was planning to watch them anyways). Whatcha think?? Any other anime a better idea? Edit: If I do go straight to FMA Brotherhood, should I first show her the beginning archs in FMA and then switch once they change or just stick with Brotherhood. I've watched both numerous times but FMA is definitely slower and more "anime like" Edit 2: Why is everyone saying to wait on Steins Gate? I haven't seen it so I'm not sure the reason lol
Crazelord91 or psycho pass for the short eps (you can skip season 2 as it have different writer) it's about a world when police have system that can predict crime
Crazelord91 don't dive into steins;gate. I personally believe you should get there eventually (as it's one of my favorite series of all time), but watch it once she's gotten used to the medium entirely.
That juny tyson anime ripped off a comic/manga idea i have I know i am probably not the first that had this idea But to have a Tournament Fight show with changing protagonists seemed very unique for me
Top two I'm on board with you. I started up Recovery of an MMO Junkie too and that was surprisingly enjoyable. That's sort of my popcorn series for the season.
So, I'm just curious. Did Fate Heaven's Feel not make the list because it's a tsudo-sequal, because it's a movie, or are you just more excited for the other things coming out this season?
Glass Reflections , did you get around to watching Land of the Lustrous ? Your prediction was right, it blew me away and really proved that CG can be as good if done with good direction.
Now that Houseki No Kuni has concluded, I'd love to hear your final opinions, I personally loved it and id love to see it get more publicity because I feel like a lot of people are gonna overlook it
Keep an eye on Garo, too. I have the feeling that it's going to be one of those shows that start off very "cliché" but ends up being extremely interesting for other reasons
Arkada, I've been on the Ancient Magus's Bride train since the first manga was released. This anime is just hitting every possible desire I have for a manga adaptation. The soundtrack, the animation style, the pacing... All of it's just so amazing. I'm going to be so upset if it stops at 12 episodes and there is no sequel...
I definitely agree with Ancient Magus Bride, I'm actually committed not to watching it simulcast this season, because it's really something I think I want to sit down with some tea in front of my tv and binge all at once.
So hey im in a bit of a pinch when i was a kid i remember watching an anime or cartoon that i don't remember much about but i'd like to ask for some help so basicly what i know is that it's about a girl and her brother gets murdered and there is a flying ship not much but yeah somebody halp :(
zhaoyun255 As a huge ArcSys fan I am not sure they would be ready to do a show quite yet. As much as I love GGXRD and DBZF I dunno about doing a series like that.
>black clover as one of the first >no inuyashiki >no desert whale goddamnit arkada... well at least he has high hopes for houseki and kino, i'll let it pass... this time.
"School live"
-has a picture of Love Live-
Ok then.
I thought that might of been the wrong show when I saw it, but it got quickly forgotten as the video went on. It's good to see someone pointing out these things and that my brief thoughts on it were correct.
I think he meant to say Love Live. School-Live is directed by Masaomi Ando.
my thoughts exactly
yeah, it's love live, school live is more commonly known as gakkkou gurashi, and to be honest, i was fairly impressed by the directing of someone who did.... that stuff.
he still f'ed up the second scene(first in the manga) of the anime though, there should have been only grass sound there, no music, in my opinion.
still, he did a very good job with putting in such high amount of details where it wasn't present in the manga(like the visible cracks on morga and goshe legs just after they got repaired), the only scene where i didn't like that is when phos talks with benitoite, it's a fucking gigantic(gigantic enough that it contains at least 2 or 3 completely different scenarios) island with less than 28 people on them, why is every shot of that scene containing 2 different people in the span of 20 seconds?
me thoughda same
Well, if anything, Black Clover is definitely the loudest this season.
*SHOUTING INTENSIFIES*
Akras Maduk Asta is not human....
I am hoping that this episode the voice actor tones it down because I don't think I will be able to sit through another scream fest.
MARRY MEEE!!!!

All aboard the Ancient Magus' Bride Hype Traaaaiiiin!!! :3
JoJo Talks Too Much when do the episodes start airing on Crunchyroll? I️ checked and they only have the first 3 episodes still
"Houseki no Kuni" is actually better and no one is talking about this plz fix this

The anime ends at chapter 25 of the manga.

*just because*
David Templer First episode seems promising... Hopefully it won’t become another generic school harem anime

well houseki counts as slice of life, so...
Hopefully it'll become something similar to or even better than Tsuki ga Kirei.

Made in abyss best anime 2017
The first episode of Black Clover did a pretty good job of turning me off of it. Advertisers want it to be compared to Naruto. Naruto has problems but a lot of charm coming from the characters, I can't see anything like that in BC.
DrRyan82994 the characters? Amazing, they haven't introduced in the anime yet tho. Wait till they introduce the Black Bulls Knight Order
Episode 1 and 2 should honestly be seen as one whole episode pilot if anything, it gets the major story ideas set, the backstory etc.

I litteraly looked at them 2 hours ago and there was nothing new, now it shows your video posted 9 hours ago... strange.
P.P.S. Also, based on manga (possible SPOILER ALERT):
Black Clover - mostly typical shounen, but close enough thematically to HeroAka to catch on hype train.Black Clover.
Am I the only one whose bothered by The Ancient Magus Bride Ovas because Chise never blinks...?
I completely agree with you on “The ancient Magus’ bride” I’m so stoked for the 24 episodes!
Agreed. I'm super glad that The Ancient Magus' Bride got a "full show" treatment (which is so rare nowadays, it should be called the "double episodes" treatment, sadly) !
Shokugeki no souma?? Anyone... OK I'll just go
diego munoz if d 3rd season goes on for 25 episodes, it might catch up to the manga with the
regimental shokugeki arc
get out
It's actually quite awesome once you get past the cultural (foodporn) shock
Please please please review Made in Abyss! My heart skipped a bit just at your mention of it! PLEASE. I've watched tons of anime in the past decade, and honestly few have entranced me as much with their art. music and BRUTAL DISPLAY OF L'APPEL DU VIDE.
Kekkai Sensen season 2?
ANYONE?!
to stupid for a Name i think this video is about new anime
Not second season anime
to stupid for a Name Yeah
True
Same although i seem to be one of the few that is concerned after watching the first ep of season 2
It was really awesome ! Just the comedy in it never fails to make me laugh even though i avoid comedy anime AND kekkai sensen doesn't even have a comedy tag . Anyway , i really enjoyed the first episode and it was full of references .
Silly Glass, everyone knows a good CGI anime has already been airing. It's called RWBY!
*ducks from blast*
Tyler Johnson You meant _Kemono Friends_ right ?
yep
Considering Japan itself can't get enough of RWBY I would say that is a valid show.
He means production values, not just some vague "good anime that happens to be CG". And RWBY productions values are crap.
Is RWBY really that popular in Japan? Heard it was pretty well received, but I can never get a number of watchers or anything of the short. Glad it's doing well though. Always liked success stories.
Gotta get that Houseki No Kuni Review
I've watched both numerous times but FMA is definitely slower and more "anime like"
Edit 2: Why is everyone saying to wait on Steins Gate? I haven't seen it so I'm not sure the reason lol
Crazelord91 cowboy bepop ? Maybe
code geass
Crazelord91 or psycho pass for the short eps (you can skip season 2 as it have different writer) it's about a world when police have system that can predict crime
Monster is good but it is long. If she isn't hooked by the sixth episode I'd drop it. One of my personal faves.
Crazelord91 don't dive into steins;gate. I personally believe you should get there eventually (as it's one of my favorite series of all time), but watch it once she's gotten used to the medium entirely.
No Pingu in the City wtf man is this a joke?
That juny tyson anime ripped off a comic/manga idea i have
I know i am probably not the first that had this idea
But to have a Tournament Fight show with changing protagonists seemed very unique for me
*Juuni Taisen*
Nobody's talking about Garo: Vanishing Line ...? That first episode was excellent, easily the most manly show of the year
The pic you chose for School Live is totally not School live xD
I think he meant to say Love Live. School-Live is directed by Masaomi Ando.
Top two I'm on board with you. I started up Recovery of an MMO Junkie too and that was surprisingly enjoyable. That's sort of my popcorn series for the season.
why are you not reviewing made in abyss??
Maybe it'll be the next video? One could only hope.
ua-cam.com/video/mIEWApoz6NE/v-deo.html
Lol my top 1 and 2 are Violet Evergarden and Ancient Magus too :)
Ps: please support Violet Evergarden novel, you won't regret it.
Been a few years since a good battle royal anime? Fate apocrypha is airing right now.
and it's a ridiculous mess
He said "good" battle royale anime.
Arcada has shit taste for the most part
Straightupstrut as much as i love Fate as Arkada does, Apocrypha is a massive piece of crap.
Hidamari Sketch x Made In Abyss. That's what it is xD Yaaas. I'm spamming the comments with excitement! Thank u Anime Gods!
First View and Like.
EXCEL Frags 2nd lol
An check my amv on dragon ball goku's new form
PLEASE review Land of the Lustrous now that the first season is over! I absolutely loved it and it deserves a second season!
So, I'm just curious. Did Fate Heaven's Feel not make the list because it's a tsudo-sequal, because it's a movie, or are you just more excited for the other things coming out this season?
Garo:Vanishing Line looks badass...Have anyone watched the first epiosde?
Glass Reflections , did you get around to watching Land of the Lustrous ? Your prediction was right, it blew me away and really proved that CG can be as good if done with good direction.
Mahoutsukai , shokugeki , black clover , kekkai sensen , gintama
Well Magus bride was amazing lol even got both of the soundtracks (Lacking getting the full opening even though I want it)
Now that Houseki No Kuni has concluded, I'd love to hear your final opinions, I personally loved it and id love to see it get more publicity because I feel like a lot of people are gonna overlook it
Will you do a video about "Made in Abyss"? I loveedthis show, although it really broke my heart at the end :´-(
Why am I not seeing any Inuyashiki?
Also, I'll post another spam comment after this don't mind that..
Can you plz review "Made in Abyss" for me its a masterpiece and the soundtrack is amazing.
I started reading the manga for The Ancient Magus' Bride and am really happy that the anime is out for it; can't wait for more of both.
Oh my god! I was just reading the manga version of Houseki no Kuni, quite surprised that they made an anime for it.
Keep an eye on Garo, too. I have the feeling that it's going to be one of those shows that start off very "cliché" but ends up being extremely interesting for other reasons
What about Cory in the house, spongebob kun and friends, shrek and the donkey, and pingu in the city *noot noot*
I thank you for introducing houseki no kuni and shoujo shuumatsu ryokou, they were awesome!
Your comments on the ancient magus bride are truth...this show is needed 13 months ago!
Innuyashiki is a feels roller coaster and Net-juu no Susume is a nice slice of life anime.
Please upload more often, more straight up reviews!
Anyone else extremly excited for the second season of 3-gatsu no lion?!
Can you put the names on screen or in the descriptions plz. Thanks
The train isn't gonna stop just yet, there's still 12 episodes left ;) . They even released a preview and everything!
Where's Neo Yokio?
on Netflix
Gonna watch food wars, I need more foodgasums in my life
I definitely agree with Ancient Magus Bride, I'm actually committed not to watching it simulcast this season, because it's really something I think I want to sit down with some tea in front of my tv and binge all at once.
CookiesXSugar See you in 24 weeks I wish I could do that.
you what elses left a void and an itchy konosuba
So hey im in a bit of a pinch when i was a kid i remember watching an anime or cartoon that i don't remember much about but i'd like to ask for some help so basicly what i know is that it's about a girl and her brother gets murdered and there is a flying ship not much but yeah somebody halp :(
You sound like the MC of a show airing this season called Animegataris. Not that that's helpful in any way.
When are you going to review Made in abyss?
Made Abyss review preeetyy please Arkada
Actually, you can trust Arc System Work for their 2.5D animation.
zhaoyun255 As a huge ArcSys fan I am not sure they would be ready to do a show quite yet. As much as I love GGXRD and DBZF I dunno about doing a series like that.
I kinda miss the jacket
Yeah! I love your videos man!!
4:29 fuuuuucc i feel that
Please review made in abyss !!!
Blood battlefront looks so good!
Am i the only one who waits for a show that im REALLY hyped on watching to finish airing to then binge it?
yes, because most people here already have a fuckton of anime to watch and don't have time to waste like that.
No Inuyashiki on this list. ARCADA HAS SHIT TASTE.
>black clover as one of the first
>no inuyashiki
>no desert whale
goddamnit arkada... well at least he has high hopes for houseki and kino, i'll let it pass... this time.
