I’m looking for a camera that does well with photos/videos of the moon, night sky and northern lights. I’m a casual user and prefer something affordable. Is the g7 good enough for all of that or do you recommend something else?
What is affordable to you? The G7 isn't going to excel at shooting at night unless you spend some good money on glass but even then once you go past 800 on iso it starts to get noisy. I would start off with like a bmpcc 4k if you want some good night vision
hey man! i just got a lumix g7 so im very new at this but im trying to get into photography and your videos have been really helpful to me! i just have a question tho, when the camera is in manual mode, the display doesnt seem to change based on which iso, aperture and shutter speed im in, im only able to see the changes after the pic is taken, is there a way to change this or is it really like that?
The display stays the same so you can see what you’re doing. However there is a light meter at the bottom that tells you how dark or light the picture will be before you take it. You want it to be at 0 or as close as you can get it. Sometimes I might under expose my images a little bit on purpose because it’s easier to bring back the shadows than it is to fix blow out highlights
1k hey grats man!
I also started with the G7 then G9 and now the S5. When the G7 entered the photo market you could not beat it for the spec and price.

@@CoreyLanier I was hoping not to go above $500-600 but I could do $700-800 if necessary

So, where is the comparison between the g7 and the s5?
This is just a load of waffle. There’s 6m 26s of my life I’ll never get back!
