So in your specific situation, how long did the batch take to finish ?

Good question.
The answer depends on if the product is pre-frozen or not. The run time will usually be between 18-24 hours. This includes 7 hours of "extra final dry time". The extra final dry time can often times be reduced to 4 hours, but I like to make certain things are dry.

Yes i do freeze dry right in the molds. This also makes removing them very easy as they usually pop right out.

Hello Kristen,
the freeze drying process uses a freeze dryer machine (Harvestright.com) there is no time/temp settings, except those used by the freeze dryer itself.
