Great video my friend. You can tell that you have great pride in your work. I will be doing this job on my moms 2019 pilot this weekend, and definitely using your video for reference.
hello, i have the same model year honda. thank you for showing us this helps us alot. Im just wondering what kind problems did this is showing. Is vibrations and shuddering a common thing on struts because im getting a lot of vibration and shuddering on my pilot specially in the front driver side. Thank you so much.
Greet video. I have a 2019 Ridgeline. The process is very much the same. Would the torque spec be the same? Also what is the paste you applied to the upper mount? Thank you!
Which part to use in the change for my 2017 Honda Pilot Touring awd. When i look at honda to purchase the struts it has two part numbers for the front strut. 51621-TG8-A01 or 51611-TG7-A01 for the right. Same thing for the other strut. How do i know if i need TG7 or TG8?
Im working in honda in middle east for 10 years and my uniform are all white. Even honda Philippines dealers wearing same uniform.. we can do anything, because that's the standard..

White mechanics uniforms?! Bold strategy! :) Great job with the video.
Great video. Thanks.
Could you provide the torque specs for the tie rod, control arm, stabilizing link and axle nut please?
No torque wrench on axle nut?!
Would this be the same procedure for a 2019 Odyssey? Seems like it would be almost exact.
Yes but different style..
Hola amigo quisiera saber dique tipo de amortiguadores lleva la Honda Pilot
Great video. What did you apply at @7:01, just some grease?

Great job. How long did it take to complete?
30 to 40 mins ;)
Did you replace the Mount Base and Bearing?
Only the mount base.. you can re use the bearing if parts is not available
@@kitlacaden Great, I purchased the base as well. My struts only lasted 55k miles and Im not even in a rust area.
Greet video. I have a 2019 Ridgeline. The process is very much the same. Would the torque spec be the same? Also what is the paste you applied to the upper mount? Thank you!
You can use normal grease ;)
@@kitlacaden is replacing the nuts with new necessary? Do you have the Honda guide for the whole procedure? Thank you again
Replacing the nuts is not necessary, unless the nut is not good.. and about the whole procedure, sorry i dont have it.. ;)
Is there a chance of damaging the axle if this was not done correctly? I got mine replaced last month and now grease is leaking from the axle boot.
Absolutely yes.. ;) maybe they not fixed the boot correctly.. or they accidentally hit the axle boot..
Hello, does the orientation matter, I noticed there is an arrow on the top bearing plate.
Does the hub really need to be completely removed to get the strut out?
No.. but for me thats the easy way. Just what i said in the title.. long cut procedure.
Could you help? When reinstalling the strut, i noticed an arrow on the top bearing. If you didnt mark when you rook it off, which way?
That mounting is only fitted in their own location.. and the arrow will point to engine bay or at the back if im not mistaken..
@kitlacaden so, the mounting plate can only be installed one way, the bolts will go through the bottom only one way?
Yes..

Did you ever figure out the answer to your question? If so, which part?
What tool are you using for the lower ball joint? Do you have a link where I can order it?
Im using genuine Special tool supply by honda.. but u can find similar on online shop.
Should that have been replaced in pairs?
Replace the defective side only.. ;)
@@kitlacaden Customer didn't want to spend the money?
What was your true time frame start to finish?
Probably 45mins-1hr.. ;)
Impressive!
Me puedes decir el modelo de amortiguador que usa para saber comprarlo por eBay
Im only using honda genuine parts.. ;)
Well done 👍
why did you have to use a screwdriver and hammer at the end?
To lock the axle nut
What is the 3rd new part when you display the new parts? It looks like a rubber o ring ?
Hi again! Is there an easy way to remove the wheel speed sensor?
After you remove the bolt, try to lubricate the mounting of the sensor.. sometimes dirt sticks on it.
@@kitlacaden silicone spray or pb blaster? Again your are amazing
Anything available in your garages, wd40 much better..
@@kitlacaden can you turn the plastic piece or does it have to come straight out?
Yes.. can you turn left/right to loose the sensor..
Torque specs?
Check in the description. ;)
He forgot to put the Spring back on….OPPs
I was planning to do mine in my garage, but I think 🤔 is too much work..😅😅
