  • All Things Mudmaster: Touchstone Tactical Watches
Mud in the house! Here I'll take you on a complete Mudmaster journey with both homage and genuine Casios. You'll see them in action in TNP to include tactical shoots, SCUBA ops, boating, and more. Striking variations will be shown that you'll probably want. There's nothing like the real thing and some cool GG1000 and GWG1000 Mudmasters lay some slap down on the review table. But don't discount the highly affordable, highly proven here Mudmaster homages like Sanda, Skmei, and especially SMAEL. TNPrs here love theirs, the have all the looks, wilder colors, and for the money are high quality.
The focus however is on the genuine Casio Mudmasters and there's nothing like the real deal. These are rugged, great looking watches that have high legibility and useful functions like real alarms, timers, ABC, waterproofness, atomic time keeping (GWG1000), and solar power (GWG1000). Yep they're much more expensive but quality often is.
We won't spend too much time in functions here, instead concentrating on the great looks and my own adventure experiences with the Mudmaster (shown!). Many cool variations of both the Casio and homage watches are studies here. These attention getting, tactical looking timepieces that will make you happy as you choose it for your EDC wear.

"Emerson Evans I loved this video. So I'm not a watch guy. I got one of the citizen pilot watches that you suggested Nutn and then I have a smart watch. I like classic looks but then this video was a great intro into why people like the tactical looking watches and I think I understand now. I think that orange second hand on that blue smael watch would be awesome looking. also... is that the savage A22 youre shooting at 0:55 and then again near the end of the video? 3w The Nutnfancy Project Thanks Emerson, that is a Savage A22 Magnum and that review is complete...just waiting its turn in posting. 1 3w Load 1 reply John Unterkofler Awesome video. I’ve always worn a watch, but since following the project it’s opened my eyes to so many fun and cool timepieces that are for the most part pretty affordable. Keep up all the hard work Nutn. 2 3w The Nutnfancy Project Thank you John, glad I can be of service 3w Chris Great vid you really hit the nail on the head as usual nutn! 3w The Nutnfancy Project Thank you Chris! 3w Bluegill097 Glad I watched this vid! (Pun?) I was about to ditch the SMAEL you sent me because the analog hands stopped moving, now I’m going to attempt the battery replacement surgery once you post that vid 3w The Nutnfancy Project Roger that Bluegill, I will try to post that one soon 3w Tacticaldoodle I'm holding out until they have a Zeon one for some gundam anniversary they seem to have every few months. That last one was kinda ugly but I like the little model decals they have on them. 3w Pedro Love gundam and if the collection was cheaper I’d buy it for my kids to watch someday. I would love to see a nier automata Casio crossovers. 3w Morris FUN FACT: I still rock the black/orange SMAEL that I received from a TNP giveaway over a year ago. It's been to work and even got banged up, yet still runs on the original battery and still has the screen protector Nutn put on it 3w The Nutnfancy Project So excellent Morris! I just love these watches they are so fun. The advantage of the SMAEL is they are lighter weight of course. 4min Danny Borrello Catching up on my patreon vids, thanks to being sick, lol. I need to get a watch one of these days, do you recommend any Casio in a mid size? 3w The Nutnfancy Project Hey I'm sick too! I got my surgery two days ago so I am able to catch up on some comments. Yes a great Casio midsize would be the GB 800, smart watch. Really excellent features, affordable, many different colors. Also consider the GA2000 tinyurl.com/yxbmjcot 4min david rockwell The Casio GG and GWG are a big miss from aesthetic paradigm. The excessively large case, bulbous buttons and tacky plastic bands are extremely off putting. The review is great and your enthusiasm for the type is appreciated. The Seiko SKX007 or Laco JU-52 Type C is a preferred style when considering a large wrist watches. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication. 1 3w The Nutnfancy Project I totally get what you're saying David, they are big bulky and they do not make a lot of sense from an SAWC perspective. But they do make me so happy. And the nice thing is I am able to switch back-and-forth from some more streamlined watches. Each one has its own personality, it's on look, it makes me feel differently. 7min Daniel Ingoglia Thanks for continuing to do watch reviews, I love them! I'm a fan of Casio and bought the PRG-600 based on your recommendation, it's such a great watch. I also have the GG1000 and GA1100, they're nice and sporty for the gym and for shooting. As a matter of fact, I use the compass function on these watches fairly often, especially when I travel. 2 3w The Nutnfancy Project Hi Daniel! Thanks so much for the support in the watch reviews, I need it. Congrats on some great watches, the PRG600 is one of my all-time favorites. I love the GG and GA as well so excellent! Glad to hear the watch show is working for you 8min Benjamin Krage So nutn, you know how with your ideal AR-15 with two uppers sharing a lower. I have been trying to do the same thing for my next bolt gun. I have a Tikka T3x in 7mm rem. and it's excellent but also high recoiling. Living in Alaska, the 7mm is great for everything but not necessary for smaller game like caribou or whitetail. I want my next bolt gun to be accurate out to 1000 yds and ideal for both hunting/bench rest long-range precision shooting. So I thought I'd use your perfect ar-15 philosophy for a perfect bolt gun, one barrel, one scope, two different stocks. One stock for hunting smaller game and the other for precision shooting with friends. It sounds expensive, but so was the perfect ar 15 project. I'm considering a Christensen Arms Ridgeline CF barrel chambered in 6.5 creedmore and then buying a boyds At One stock or the same KRG X-Ray chassis to swap out for the long range days. let me know what you think. Be it known, I have all the other ar's, pistols, shotguns needed in the armory save a SAPR. 2w The Nutnfancy Project Hi Benjamin! Sounds like you've done some good thinking on the project. I really like your choice of 6.5 Creedmoor. I do think Christiansen Arms guns are overpriced for what you get. I would look at some higher value options perhaps that provide the same performance. For instance the Diamondback A.R. 10 I reviewed. I would also stick to a single configuration in that particular caliber. It is long range and I would just kind of keep it that way. You should be able to get an AR 10 at about 7.5 to 8 pounds if you watch all the excess arising very carefully. Also check to see if POF is making that 6.5 C in direct gas impingement yet. That could be a big win. I'm trying to get a hold of one for review. Doug Irelan Liked the WRV. Casio PRO TREK PRG 600 is my favorite. #2 is the digital version PRW3000. 4w James A. Goins Still have the Smael you sent Nutn, its my daily watch while on patrol. So far has survived multiple wrestling matches and a couple nasty spills lol but the OG Mudmaster is still tempting! 4w Lee Harrell You sent a Smael to me, and I love it. Thanks for the excellent watch review! Keep it up! 4w Joshua kinnunen I also received a smael. Fun watch. Thanks! 4w Maplebrew I ran the green SMAEL for a period of 2 years before its death and switched to the blue LAD Weather Atomic Solar watch. It too died a hard death of tig welding, baling hay, hammering and trail riding before the second hand fell off 4w Maplebrew Has anyone looked into or purchased a MVMT Field 41 Watch? 3w Harold Galen McPheron Cool watches.... 4w Rob Rizzo that GWG with the orange strap is sick looking! I need one 4w Joe The atomic time feature is really neat, I really enjoy something that is accurate and correct, but also enjoying my throw back Invicta Rolex fake. With a Japanese nh35a long as I hand wind it every 3 days it'll only gain 2 to 4 seconds a day, despite it being automatic self wind I'm a desk jokey and even though I walk my dog everyday I'm not active enough to keep it going. Note for any other guys holding down a chair most of the day! 3w Joe Looking at some of those Casios, wow they have a lot of stuff built in them. Amazing 2 3w Pedro My biggest suggestion to Casio would be to simplify the watch model codes, sell JDM watches world wide."

I actually do use the ABC functions on my GWG1000(especially the altimeter)but don't wear it much in the colder months unless I am hunting. Purchased 3 different SMAELS, decent but sold/gave them to a buddy who's destroyed 2 so far.
I've moved on to mid-upper Seikos and Tudors but, your wrv's have helped spark a life long passion. Thanks Nutn

For mountaineering and even just finding a location on a topo map in mountainous terrain having an altimeter is important. Plus the baro for storms! Phones can fail in mountain cold winds plus no signal. I know this from a decade of skiing, climbing, and taking pics haha.

Huge watch nerd here! Love the WRV's. I've wanted a GWG for years, but never pull the trigger on one. Solar atomic kicks ass. I have a couple of ProTrek's (with NATO strap) that fills the bill. Wish Casio would get on board with some variety in the band colors. Might have to get a GG to pacify me. The positive display works best for my eyes. Thanks Nutn!

RowdyRon I rock the Casio GW9400-3 Rangeman fitted with Jays and Kays bull bars & strap adaptors with an ODG ZULU strap. Solar, atomic, altimeter, barometer, compass & thermometer. I'm very surprised your not into nvg reviewing more, I recently purchased a pulsar Challenger, which is just a cheap night vision monocular, but man! It blew my mind. I hope you continue making great videos and would love to see some night vision and helmet setups and reviews!

just wanted to share some information about the smeal name, you may already know. But I live in the Charlotte N.C. area and driving up to a stop light next to a fire truck I noticed the driver had a nice watch on his wrist not sure what size it was but it had a big face looked like a smeal watch. Also on the fire truck I noticed that a lot of their equipment had the name smeal on it, i'm guessing name brand equipment so I guess thats where they got the name. Seeing how you know how to go inside of these watches how hard do you think it would be to go inside the GGB100 1A triple sensor mudmaster that has the Bluetooth and eliminate the Bluetooth?
I really want that watch but for my line of work I cannot have Bluetooth capabilities on my body. I know it could be manually turned off but still cannot have that on my person while doing my special line of work seeing how there's possibilities of an outside party being able to sense objects nearby with Bluetooth even when off.

Yo, you gotta stop wearing those cheap Chinese Amazon G-shock knockoff watches. They are soooo cringe. They are the fashion watch of the tactical world. Get a damn Timex expedition if you want to wear a tough budget watch. You can get a real GShock Mudman G9000 for $55. You can get the smaller square GShocks for $40ish. This fake GShock stuff is like ordering body armor from China.

No thanks, not for me, I'm a man with a guyPhone and a man purse...which is even more ghey than a watch video...MY opinions and my advice: buy a new Ar10 or Ar15 lower... better investment

For those watching, skip to 15:00 and you will see a gun.
