@@maverandrej Wanted to clarify here - that's not what @lavaweb1 meant. No one can see where you clicked to go to envelope distort because you cropped your screen.
@@WinWithDel Ohhh, sorry, yes you go to Object>EnvelopeDistort. You can also find all the commands in the "Help" section of Illustrator, just type in Envelope Distort and it will show you where it is in the menu. Hope this helps!
Thank for this! I'm not ashamed to admit I've been using Illustrator since the early 1990s and didn't know this was a thing until today! Super handy tutorial. :)
Thanks. I like the direct and to the point approach however, like many tuts, it's assumed everything works as shown. Nothing about what might be wrong if you don't get these results. I'm trying to get elongated text (vertically) with the lower half of the text in an arc shape.
@@maverandrej That's what I would have thought. I got it close but I wanted the vertical parts of the text to stay vertical. I ended up getting it as close as possible and then moving the points manually to end up with what I was after. Cool tool either way.
Yeah it's not working and I followed every - single - step "This requires a selection of multiple objects. The top object must be a single path or mesh, or a symbol containing a single path or mesh."
10/10 for this tutorial. No long intro, no long life story. You just gave me what i came here for... thank you!
Yes, that should be the point of all tutorials, just HowTo. :) I'm glad it helped
It would be really nice to see the menus of your screen. I can't follow what you're doing because of your white mortice.
Slow down the video, it might help you to follow. I wanted to make it in less than 60s, so it also fits in #shorts

Short and Sweet.. :)
to wrap text into shape you can use ctrl+alt+C as a shortcut
for some reason, it not enveloping
Try placing the text behind the object.

It should work exactly as shown - you can do different shapes and fonts. Hope you made it work.

@@randycates9577 Yes, you need to experiment what shapes are best for what fonts.. It's trial and error if you are looking for a specific outcome. :)
What if I’m using my own font I drew ?
It should work! ;)
hey Adrej! I liked your video and I subscripted your Chanel, thanks about this information. have a good day
Thank you! Will create more!
Yeah it's not working and I followed every - single - step

To solve this you need to put the text layer below the shape layer you want to insert.
@@thunguyenanh6567thank you!
@@thunguyenanh6567 omg thanks!!!
what are minor touches lol ?
Add background and shadow below. :) Sky is the limit :)
hi how do i select the lines and shape altogether? it will not let me divide
are you new? if so, i would like to suggest use shift to select multiple object or in this case line and shape
Crtl + A or use selection tool and select all
try using knife tool.
