I would have used Path/Outline Stroke instead of duplicating/copy-pasting the stroke, also when I create object duplicates I will need later I just duplicate with Alt-down then back up and while still selected I hide with Shift-3 then later when I need the object/s I just Alt-Shift-3 and they appear back exactly in place - you could do this with layers and show/hide too - that said, you get the same result, this is the power of Ai I have found there are sometimes 5 or 6 ways of doing the same thing.

You are totally right! 1001 ways to have the same result. Its just personal preference but a stroke works just as well. Thank you!
