I think they look pretty decent. My choice for the F40 would be PGM Models. The hood, trunk and doors open. The fitment is really good. They are also pricey. They are not licensed. Thank you for sharing.
My f40 collection includes all the ones mentioned. I was lucky enough and picked up a couple pgm that are extra nice, but this just got on my to buy list.
I like both of them. It looks like the Alfa has a extended rear roofline that makes it look like a 2 door wagon. Kinda cool. I think the F 40 would have a emblem on the center of the hood and a prancing horse decal on the upper rear portion of the front fenders in front of the door if I'm remembering correctly. Pretty cool cars!👍
The Irony is that TLV's F40 while being licensed pales in comparison to these Ali Express brands. The PGM F40 showed how TLV is charging exorbant amounts of cash for something lacking detail and having large panel gaps. Due to the hype created around TLV, it has increased the prices ten fold and flippers are appeased.
i need to take into account when tlvn f40 was made. tlvn made the f40 in 2020 and pgm in 2022 a lot of things change so I would say tlvn did a pretty good job for a 2020 model
Not just on par, but even better. PGM is one of the top brands, such a shame they don't have too many models, lately they've been relying on just color variants.
@@eefm99 yea i agree the PGM is much more detailed then TLV but the only problem is licensing so they cant make new models since they will get in trouble. I been waiting for the 912 to come out from pgm
@@eefm99 It's great. The opening and moving parts make it a standout. My only real nitpick would be the panel gap when the rear engine cover is closed. With that said, it's an exceptional model.
Just an FYI, F40s have a prancing horse logo on each side at the back of the front wheel arch panel by the securing latch. Maybe the extra 2 are for there?
FYI I do believe patents expire in the USA. I believe what you mean about licensing is for the logo only. This car was built decades ago and I really don't think the patent is still active on this car. Here in the US patent expire such as generic drugs that we normally buy at a cheaper price.
@@mcirelandosharma7411 I owned a black TLV F40. When I compared it to my Inno64 Honda NSX-R, it blew my mind on how TLV was skimping on details while costing more than the Inno. Then a review video for the PGM really put me off of the TLV and I sold it.
@traviswalker8933 yeah TLV have definitely skated along relying solely on their brand name, and other brands have surpassed them in every other way. They probably won't last much longer without some kind of drastic change to keep up with the emerging brands. Same goes for hot wheels. An arrogant big name mentality.
love the alpha , will go pick one up, the f4o is nice but others do it better the best f40 in my opinion is the inno64 liberty couldn`t care less about licensing
i dont know how many times i stared at the renders of this alfa romeo, but something was telling me to stay away and right now I can see I made myself the right call, I cant look at it without feeling that something´s not right, or maybe they´re expensive for the little they are. About the f40, im satisfied with my liberty walk f40 from inno.

Tarmac Works x Ixo released another F40 casting last year, the "lightweight" version which I managed to get in plain red and it's very nice. I'm not sure how it compares to the TLV since I don't have one to compare it to but it's a slightly nicer casting than the racing F40 I also have from Tarmac Works x Ixo.
How it's not licensed if it uses the same model name? Same for pop race . They uses model names as well like fd rx7 , r32 . If they haven't been licensed them they can't ise the model name as well
I wouldn't buy the TLV F40; the rear hatch panel gap and hinge openings are ATROCIOUS, at least on my model. I've only been holding on until one of these unlicensed brands puts out a much better version. I missed out on the PGM and have been stuck since. I'd suggest for people to just wait and not be impatient. Some brand will randomly come out with a version in the next couple of years.
0:46 because most of this model was made for & collected by adults,as there are some parts of the model was fragile for kids,and 14+ years old was considered more relevant as adults
The headlights and rear grill are from the f40 LM but the front hood, wheels and rest of the body is from a road f40. Details cant be a worthwhile tradeoff for lack of licensing and this level of inaccuracy
That alfa is so me. I may need one. These aliexpress brands are often really impressive

F40 is a stunner. TLV is the best execution however I'm still worried the historical paint issues with TLV may not have been resolved.

i dont think they have but you could try rubbing tamiya wax on it it help a little

Pgm has weird proportions and is inaccurate. It's an f40 LM with pop up headlights (LM doesn't have pop up headlights)

The F40 emblem was on the rear wing. The emblems were removed on the model as it's not licensed.

@rey2003 problem is, the TLV looked like something from 2010. The interior looked just a bit over hotwheels, the engine lacked any wiring details.

You should get the TPC One:1, in diecast they are the only ones who made the correct headlights.
I believe PGM also make a pretty impressive F40. Probably on par with the TLV F40.
Its leagues better than the TLV for sure. The TLV engine looks like hotwheels when compared with the PGM.

PGM do an F40 that rivals TLV. Both the LM and the standard types, plus a snow chain version and a Marlborough one.
I think it outclasses the TLV.

I’d give the alpha of 5 rating because of the wheel damage and flashing in the wheels.
The BEST F40 by far and away is the all opening version made by PGM…. Way ahead of the Tomica TLV version.

Not sure why that the model names are not as much of an issue as brand… but yeah a lot of these and pop race are not licensed by the manufacturer.
