I do the same! Thrift store hunting. It’s like my own therapy. And I also have military service related ptsd. Your channel, I found today, and am listening to all of them. Thank you.

Thrift store hunting is the best. It is a great therapy. What do you like to look for? Sorry, for the slow response, I have been sort of avoiding my channel.

I can’t feel my body and I zone away from my body and my surroundings and get really really lost in myself, I need someone with me to ground me. It’s so scary :(

That does sound scary. Do you do any grounding exercises? Have you tried grounding yourself to nature? Take your shoes off and go walk out side, and hug a tree. Sorry for the slow response, I have been avoiding my channel lately. I hope you are well.

When I was coming out of my numbness I thought I was possibly experiencing mania bc I forgot what happiness felt like. Thank God I wasn't and I found this video bc some of it is coming back..i feel like I'm slipping back under the "blanket" and trying to stop it. What brought me out was vitamin b12..i was severely deficient. Now that I've dealt with that aspect I'm trying to work on me so I never go back there..its a very lonely place.

It is a very lonely place, but you are not alone. Try adding quality nutrition, meditstion and exercise to your life. It will improve it, I promise. I wish I could say that it just goes away and never comes back, but that has not been the case for me. It can be a struggle, but it is well worth it.

I agree with everything you said. I’ve had sort of like panic attacks because of feelings I had in my body that I had never experienced before. It is such a crazy thing. I have found that the more I discover, the more I want to uncover. It is like my new hobby. I have implemented wearing more colorful clothing, and scents that smell good. Do you practice meditation at all? It is amazing when you make it routine.

@@armytank65 I finally have my guard down, and holy crap it is amazing. I have been pretty much numb my entire. I didn't even know there was anything wrong with me because it was all I ever knew. The military just made my problems worse. I swear I don't even live in the same world anymore. You know what they say Change your inner world, and your outer world will change, and it truly does.

@@HappyLittleNightmares That's awesome brother !!! Soo happy you have your guard down and truly living life to the fullest good stuff!!! I know the Army did damage on me at a young age and gave the foundation for ptsd but now I have battled back and starting to feel like I did as a young kid more and more free and happy.

It's been a fun and great journey. When I started noticing this I told my wife and therapist that it felt like something clawing at my insides. Not like a big beast, but a little kitten saying "pay attention to me"
I agree, the more I uncover, the more I want to dig up.
Meditation has been one of the most helpful things for me. I wish more people would do it and recognize it's not some hippie shit.
      Great video, keep them coming.

While in the darkness did you have physical pain? Can you describe the pain? Can you tell me more about all the pain manifested itself? Thank you in advance. Thank you for doing the videos.

I feel your pain. What are you currently doing to fight off the numbness? ? Have you ever heard of mindfulness based stress reduction? I have been been making a ton of progress with it. My next video is going to be about what put me on the path.

@@HappyLittleNightmares I'm living life as normal as i can but i don't experience any joy or sadness it's just flat flat flat. As a musician this is a living hell. can't experience all the good stuff that happens in my life...

    • @HappyLittleNightmares
      @HappyLittleNightmares  4 роки тому

We are all unique, and it is impossible for me to experience what you experience, but I can relate to the flatness. Have you ever tried fasting? That is what really woke me up to how many things in this is world keep you numb. It isn’t easy, but I highly recommend looking into it.
Experiment with stuff, and just keep trying until something works for you.

Don't panic when I say this... For the rest of your life. That being said, eventually your life becomes better and you actually can enjoy the healing process.
