The touch gestures work by swiping across panels not within one panel.

I’m glad this was gift as its white and “oranges”’ are not as I had hoped for

Great review! Subscribed awhile ago and was looking into getting these panels so I appreciate the review.

The electrical cord would bother me being exposed.

Very cool 😎. I like that they look like wood when not lit but.. I think I’m leaning more towards Nanoleaf Canvas with all the colors. Touch choice!

Interesting product, although your review assumes that the viewer knows what it is. I didn’t know, and it was only after several minutes of watching that I sussed that it is a fancy lamp!
As to the product itself, I don’t think it’s particularly expensive, given that a normal table lamp can easily be £100, and this product can also be thought of as “art” (or interior design, at least - it’s more than simple light source).
Would Ilike one? Maybe, yes. But the thing I don’t like is the dangling cable. If it was USB rechargeable, or used a swappable battery pack, it would be more attractive but as version 1.0 it’s not bad and I can see this idea getting better and better with development.

I don’t understand how they can make such a complex product, but not a simple white essentials bulb 💡 GREAT review though

They make a white essentials bulb. It just happens to have a million other colors available too 😂
Seriously though the essentials bulb will give you all the whites you could ever want

Nice review! I noticed on the Nanoleaf website that they had a 13 pack. But out of stock! Any idea when it will come back in

Too bad you cannot use the app to see how it would look on your wall without pairing the product first. Was gonna try before buying. Very disappointing.

Seems decent but don’t know if I’d pay £199 for them 🤔

Can you hardwire these? The wire hanging on the wall looks horrible.

Hardware in what way? You could feed the wire through the wall out of site

I’m sure you can but not with a kit. It’d be a DIY wiring job. Just take the cord and route then connect through the wall

No, it doesn't support zigbee which is the standard that Hue is using
