- Nanoleaf Elements - Functionality meets style!
Last year Nanoleaf released Elements, which in some way resemble their shapes and canvas product. You can create a variety of interesting and unique shapes and patterns.
Elements are a little different though. To start with, they’re not RGB. Instead, you can adjust the light temperature from a very warm 1500 to a cooler 4000 kelvin. Elements are designed to add style and fit well in your living space even when they are not in use.

I have thought about adding these for a bit. I like the wood grain finish, and yet feel that it is a limitation compared to other options. I agree with your ideas for other finishes and my preference would be other variants of the wood finish (different woods/shades for the basal finish).

Hi Brad. Got a question for you. I set up my Goodnight scene. Very basic at this stage. Lights off, audio paused, power board outlets all off. But I’m getting an error message saying there was a problem with the media, and the scene shows as failed in the app. If I change audio paused to a custom volume that’s turned right down, it doesn’t fail. That’s not ideal though as then if I play music the following day it starts really low, plus it just bugs me. Is it that there’s no audio playing and so there’s nothing to pause? Do I need to just delete the scene and start over and not click on media so no option is selected? Or do I need to start playing something a few minutes before I’m ready to turn the lights off?
I’ve been having lots of fun. I have a good morning and good night scene, the lights turn warm white at sunset, a TV time scene, and an I need to pee scene (lights at 10%) 😂😂😂 I’ve already ordered the next thing. An Aqara M2 hub because reaching for the remote to turn the TV on is so last century! 😂 I’m pretty certain I’ll be using a few Aqara products once I move so I figured why not. I will slow down now until I move though!
What do you think for uninstall Brad? I worry about those stickers in a rental situation myself!

NanoLeaf Elements oh very nice but the Govee system just blows them away at less than half the price. Though it is a bit of work around to make them work with HomeKit
Hi Johnny, yes, Govee is good, it’s just HomeKit that is the issue. I’m hoping they will work with matter in the future.
Too expensive and we should be able to put the wire in the wall.

I would love to buy some, but they don’t match any of the wood in my home. They offer their other products in 2 different colors, why not 2 different woods? For the price their other products are brighter and change colors. You can get a starter kit and 1 expansion pack for the same price.
I would love to see more wood grain options as well! The elements are a little more expensive than some of their other products. Just depends on the look you are going for.

I think the product is bloody stupid. Can’t understand why anyone would want this.
I love it, but totally a personal preference. It’s not for everybody.
