Jotiba Mandir || दक्खनचा राजा-ज्योतिबा(कोल्हापूर)

Jotiba Mandir is situated near Wadi Ratnagiri in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra state in western India and the name of this beautiful holy site is Jyotiba Temple. The temple is situated on a hill at a distance of 18 km north-west of Kolhapur city. According to legend three gods Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesha took the form of Jyotiba to destroy the evil demon Ratnasur to liberate the region.The temple was constructed by Malji Nilam Panhalkar. The idol of Jyotiba is four-handed. There are a few other temples and light towers in the premises as well. If you are coming from Mumbai or Pune then the distance from Mumbai is approximately 400km and from Pune is 250km approx.
