Children are not a distraction from more important work; They are the most important work - C.S Lewis

I’m so thankful for this perspective. Thank you! I have a 15, 4 and one on the way. I just shifted to only doing my Etsy business and I just couldn’t figure out the priorities of the day.

It really is easy to see our kids as a distraction and annoyance when we want to get stuff done. I know I need to often check myself that THEY are my bigger goal than any of these other things I'm doing.

Lol, I actually own two slumber pods. I like them for traveling because they are blackout for the baby/Toddler, especially when sharing rooms. I will say that there is no sound-muffling ability.

That’s good to know! I don’t know which brands are which, but we’ve seen one with that ability.

Amy I really enjoyed your thankful for the Blessing of children perspective. I did notice you mentioned pride /proud/proudfull, it caught my attention because I have read the entire KJV Bible and have never found any Scripture referring to pride in any of its forms being a good/positive thing, only a bad/negative thing. I believe GOD layed it on my heart and mind to ask you to reconsider the word and content of pride in all of it's forms.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful content especially in a CHRISTian format !!! GOD Bless you, your family and homestead I pray !!! 🙏 😊

Thank you for talking about the stewardship part of having kids, and being able to care for them. I agree, I'd love to have lots of kids, but reality steps in and says to consider what I actually have the abilities and energy for. Someone else's abilities are not mine.

another gtreat lesson on being a great mother and a christian. im 55 with my children in their 30s and when they were little for my generation it was about working and having other people to take care of your babies whlile you work. i did read to my children and went to church etc. to me it is crazy to think you are supposed to have as many kids that you can without thinking about all the support the child needs growing up like being a christian food education cothing etc. if you can not supply all these needs for then it is absolutely ok to stop having children. I have two wonderful grown adults who are doing well in life and they have thier own homes to take care off. children are a blessing to us but we are to be responsible to for their well being. I always learn from you and you are a great teacher. thank you so much
