We used to go to the Spectrum and my dad would ask, who do we like. I always said, "not Barnaby". But to listen to him, I'm so happy I got to see him play against the Phantoms and the Bears (my grandfather loved the Bears) He loves the game and the way he was able to impact the way the game was played. Love it. Do what you do best!!!!

Matt B. is hands down the KING of agitating ! This man could change the entire game by himself . I’ve been a die hard Flyers fan for over 30yrs and always looked forward to playing Buffalo ! It was harder back then to follow guys without all of the social media these days but I followed him as much as I could ! One of my favorite players that’s never played in Philly . He was Hockey ! He knew his role and played it better than anyone in the history of the NHL. And man that smile , it never left his face . This guy would smile eating shots and handing them out . Nobody did it better . Wow what a GREAT GUEST ! I could listen to Riley and Matt talk for hours upon hours . They both played the game how it was suppose to be played and man did they leave it all on the ice ! Matt , thanks for being on the show brother and thanks for everything you brought to the game . And thanks for always taking the time out to talk with fans . This man ALWAYS finds time to talk with fans who message him . A simple reply from guys like Matt means more to us fans than you’ll ever truly know . Glad things are going soo for you bro and best of luck to your son . Can’t wait to see him in the big show !

Yeah, this is a great interview & conversation. I like that he’s still “that guy”, unlike some players who become more reserved in public, but are still wild men while out of the spotlight. Barnaby lets it fly, especially the Jim MacKenzie story. Just found this channel the other day, when YT recommended their interview with Chief Berube, which is another good one. Today, I got this one. Barnaby was great, and really stepped up the role of agitator. He understood early on, the idea of being the villain to every team but his own. Beloved by fans, HATED by rivals. He’s got such a big personality, perfectly suited for the player & teammate he became, and would do anything to get there. I’m a Caps fan, so we didn’t see him as much when he was with St Louis. Two of his three seasons in Pittsburgh he was injured, so not enough to be infuriated by him. Actually, my favorite Barnaby moment is when he fought Jason Doig, and he’s all wound up by the end of it. His facial expressions, and yelling, “WOO!”, are hilarious.

Love Barny. He was so entertaining and always got you off your seat. Guy was smaller for a scraper but didn’t shy away from some seriously big tough guys. Mad respect to him.

Dude, I’m from Buffalo….i was 17 when he got called up and he changed our team….buffalo fans back then were every bit as hard core as Philly fans and we loved him!!!! A once in a lifetime style of player for real!

Barnaby was such a pos back in that 90’s Flyers/Sabres rivalry, but off the ice he seems like a solid dude and gives a great interview. Even back then I think he came on Comcast Sports net when it first went on the air during the off season. Everyone who saw it was surprised and were like, wow he seems like a decent guy. Bless 90’s hockey, such great characters. Those guys really left it all out there.

Why would you call him a Pos ? The guy had a role and played it better than anyone . Not everybody plays hockey to light the s ore board on fire . Guys had roles ! They had certain jobs that they played and he played his well . He could get the entire other team mad and chasing him around to the point they would forget they were even playing hockey ! If you’re an old school hockey fan this is the type of guy you should have loved watching !

Another great episode. I despised Barnaby when the Flyers faced him. It's good to see interviews like this that humanizes former players.

Can we get him on a #Flyers broadcast? these type of guys are so much fun to hear from because of their role. Donald Brashear would be awesome too. Fridge is a perfect example. He's been awesome so far, too
