Pronger was such a difference maker. The impact he made with a bad back was incredible.

From everything I heard about Bob he’s always been a hard hard worker. In his early Flyers days he supposedly was working hard on learning English and it was reported he spent a great deal of time working on his puck handling as it was one of his biggest weaknesses coming over. By the end of his rookie season you saw a drastic change in his puck handling ability. Reports of his work ethic has followed him to Columbus and Florida. Always loved that about Bob.

Laviolette put Bob in the press box after 1 questionable game in the playoffs after he helped get the team in the playoffs that year. Put him in the press box and pulled up Leighton who essentially played 2 NHL games that entire season. Team got eliminated and Bryz got brought in the following season. That Killed Bob’s chances in Philly and essentially became the end of Bob in a Flyers uniform. One of the worst Flyers moves I ever saw.
