In this video we take a look at making a DROELOE/Flume inspired metallic sounding chord pluck synth in Xfer Serum. This sound is super versatile and could be a good start point for synths in Future Bass, Future or Bass House, Dubstep or Trap. Other producers that come to mind include Illenium, Seven Lions, Said The Sky, SLANDER, Gryffin & What So Not to name a few, but let me know who you think it reminds you of in the comments!

reducing the detune, using a very fast delay and a comb/reverb filter would make it even more metallic

I could see this heading towards Louie the child sounds with some more work, just too low and raspy metallic while theirs is a little sharper I feel but shouldn't be too far off

Man, the organic detune from the 'Spin' parameter sounds so good!!! Using reverb as more of a timbral effect than a time based one is something I keep ignoring and this is a perfect reminder of why I really shouldn't lol. Great stuff as always!
It's a really fun technique to play around with, definitely worth trying with dedicated reverb plugins like valhalla etc too!
what about the droeloe - sunburn chords
To me this sounds like "string section" type of synth sound. I assume "metallic" sounds might have more percussive and/or inharmonic elements in them.

Add sustain, give it a longer tail with a gated reverb, add a classic trance beat and a nice bassline and you've got yourself a hit!
