  • A family is seeking justice after their dog, Ace, was found shot to death in a nearby pond in the Carolina Lakes development of Horry County.
Early Sunday morning, JoAnn and Tracy Luyster discovered their dog Ace had not been seen in the home, after getting out of the house with the other two dogs during the night.
It wasn’t until later that Tracy received a call from a man, stating that they had found Ace in the pond - only two streets from their home.

They will be judged by a much higher court and that Judge has no sentencing guidlines.

How did they manage to get out? I never understand it’s not like they can unlock doors please please make sure your doors and windows are closed if they’re in the yard make sure there’s no way for them to get out it’s so sad! I hope they find the monster that did this

100% owner's fault. They knew the dogs could get out "if the door wasn't locked, the dogs could easily have been killed by cars, eaten something toxic, etc
The first time the dog escapes, perhaps it's the dogs' fault.
The second time, it's the owner's fault.
In all likelihood that these dogs have been running the neighborhood frequently.
Perhaps now these people will take RESPONSIBILITY, prevent their remaining dogs from escaping, and be a better neighbor and a better pet owner.
