Yeah, the game takes it as a Weak-strike and it gives an extra turn... I couldn't believe it too when it happened to me yesterday, but I can say that it can be very useful sometimes!
RIGHT??? i'm sitting here wondering why they're bothering using mudo skills on kali when she clearly reflects them, until the second time with danu and i had to sit here and be like 'wait why did the extra turn icon give them an extra turn for dying...' then after it all processed correctly i was just like 'YOU GET AN EXTRA TURN FOR PUTTING WEAKNESS ON YOURSELF???' my mind was absolutely blown into pieces.
Dev 1: What should we do for a Magatsuhi Skill? Dev 2: 100% crit for a turn? Dev 1: Ok, what else? Dev 3: A skill that increase damage the lower the HP of party members are? Dev 2: Wait, isn't that broken? Dev 1: Who cares, it's not like people will use it turn 2 turn kill all bosses on Hard Mode, right?
to be fair, it's good on the devs that they give you all of these options to mess with, it's only an insta-win if you strategise perfectly which is completely fair

Safeguarding an extra press turn out of a demon who will have its weakness reflected back at it to make room for more turns for other party members while also building Magatsuhi is, without question, the most galaxy brain strat I have ever seen in any RPG bar none. Bravo!
I saw another guy do this by instead of this, he uses the first turn to buff, then uses adversity, uses murakumo on Nahobino and switches out all other party members to give Nahobino 5 uses of murakumo in one turn
@@raoulLupin thought I had deleted that comment. I realised the reason all the hits were crits is because of figment slash. I'd seen two separate videos use the same method and thought it was just adversity
I wanted to do it without any DLC only abilities. Also you don’t want to charm him in case he doesn’t do the Tandava+Summon combo (but I think he’ll do it regardless). Oh and lowering Evasion so Figment Slash connects is important too

Don't forget there are 2 differences in this fight 1. He's using Figment slash, a phys move that crits, and idk if it's true but crit modifier is higher than hitting weakness in all smt games 2. Loup is using impaler's animus
Yea, but there a couple reasons for the difference. Loup-Garou had Impaler’s Animus, which is 1.8x damage. He also had 2 stages of attack buff while Inanna has 1. And Figment Slash is a low accuracy move, so it makes sense to be stronger than Innana’s normal accuracy one. But yea Phys moves can make use of Critical Zealot more often
@@bainz Oh yea, forgot about atk boost and crit zealot, I wonder if they added a similiar effect for magic spells hitting weakness like Merciless blow from dx2 but have the negative effect of crit zealot
lol people... Magic dealing less damage than phys IN endgame == magic sucks... You are literally forced to use magic skills for stacking press turns the whole span of early-mid game. If magic also deals more damage than phys, there will be literally NO POINT in using phys skills anymore
@@bainz imo the problem is there are no spells like that though. All you can do with spells is set up press turns and pierce. No auto crits with low accuracy etc. The best are spells that double up function like..dark and poison etc.
The Impaler's Glory skill makes your next move do ~3.6x damage and Pierce. Adversity skill at 1 HP makes your whole party do ~3.33x damage. These two stack, making Nahobino do 12x his normal output
