    This was definitely a production flaw. I have been trying to change this band for a better part of an hour.

      yep - can't get mine back on either. Not on either side. the little thing that compresses won't compress enough to get it in the allowable space.

    I'm trying to re-install the original band. In the process I broke a nail, accidentally changed settings, and unintentionally started an exercise. I still can't get the @#$% band back on. I hate this thing! Bands on other devices are easy to switch when you feel like it. Not this one. Whose brilliant design idea was this?

    • @emilyc4351
      @emilyc4351 6 років тому +7

      LOL. I feel your pain, I didn't break a nail but chipped my nail polish and I was PISSED. The trick is don't put it on at the angle in the video. Do it so the band is going left, over the top of the screen. Hard to explain but if you do that it's so easy. Good luck.

    Thank you for the great video. I just bought a Versa yesterday and needed the large band (which I will probably replace, anyway). I tried a few times, got frustrated, so I removed the pin to see how the band fits in the groove. Surprise! It doesn't fit if you are pushing it straight in. Looking at the underside of the Versa, you need to angle the band towards you a little bit. I put the pin back in, and I was able to get the band in immediately with almost no effort :)
    Edit: wow, I'm an idiot. Now I see all of the other comments that mention the same thing lol

    • @joemann5378
      @joemann5378 5 років тому

      OMG! You're absolutely right. There were others that said how to do it prior to your post, but your description was clear and concise. After spending 30 minutes trying to force that damned band it, all I had to do was bend the bend up,. towards me (if doing upside down as in this video), and it went in almost effortlessly. Thanks!

    This thing pisses me the hell off. I took off my favorite band because it has colors on it and I was going to a fancy event so I put on a more classy solid black band - which was frustrating as hell. Then when I got home just now I was trying to put my favorite band back on and snapped the damn thing because of this stupid design. Then after a ripped nail and 20 minutes of anger I finally got the watch back on for it to basically tell me I needed to calm down
    Fuck this watch.... It pissed me off so much it then told me to calm down.

    I just got a versa I'm a little afraid of changing the band but I will look at your video when I decide to do it. I will say this I've had a charge 2 and I've had an older flex, and those bands were easier to change, but the bands also popped off randomly. The Versa is almost almost a $300 watch, I rather have bands that are difficult to change than something that will easily pop off.

    Thank you for the visual, it helps, but I think it's the band! I bought 3 bands, and all 3 are tricky to place, mainly the North band (opposite the one you demonstrated). The side w/the notch, can't find it's hole...I thought it was a defect, but all 3 bands? Plus, the original band is silicone, which I am allergic too! Ugh!

    I watched your other video and tried and tried to get the silicone band on to no avail. That said, the key to making it happen was the clue in this video to bend the strap toward you. Thanks for including that comment in this video! I was lucky I found it!

  • @roxanne-lovingpetcare3449

    Also, the battery is not designed to show when the Fitbit gets low! There should be an ongoing box that shows where the battery life is b/c sometimes I get too busy to remember when I recharged it. Other than the battery& cumbersome change out of the strap issue, I do love it!

  • @robertkozoman2895

    I used a small flat bladed screwdriver to compress the bottom pin and jammed that in last vs the end with the little lever. Easier, but still took some serious wiggling - horrible design
