- Wrote this during a sleepless night, recorded the same night. Was actually trying to write another song, but then this happened.... And I decided to share.

Personality and armor wise, he is a lion. I love how he has grown. This song is simply beautiful and fitting. I hope he finds peace, he has more than earned it.
There's something so honest about this song. It doesn't sugarcoat, it doesn't pretend the future is certain, but it lays the heart of the singer bare. It's full of hope, tragedy, faith, and trust. I'm in love with this song. It's so simple but it says so much.

the song just makes me think of hero of ferelden and how Alistair tells the inquisitor that the hero walks a dark path
I wonder how the Hero would react seeing Cullen now, considering he used to be her Templar (and love interest at the circle) and that the last time she saw him the demons had him captive and were torturing him with visions of her death. He didn’t even want to talk to her then afterwards. She probably thought he was broken forever. He’s sooo much healthier now. I bet she’d be proud of him.

I like to imagine that my Lavellan made this song for his Birthday and sing it to him in her bedroom and Cullen got the flashbacks and started crying showing her his true face with painful past and lost.. At the same time, being very moved and pleased that she did it for him and loving her even more.

just wanted to check back in since it's another one of these. i've listened to this song a lot since then, whether it's from procastination catching up with me and i begin working at 2 am and need a bit of strength, or something less ...inane and much more painful. cullen's really been one of my "comfort characters" and this song in particular helped me a lot.

Do realize how perfectly you've encapsulated Cullen, his personality, his tragic history with the Chantry and the love we (the Inquisitor) have for him? Idk about anyone else but I would LOVE to see you sing about someone else. Perhaps something more lively? About our favorite Dwarven Rogue?❤
Seriously, you just completely brought justice to the story behind our favorite Commander in a song that is hauntingly beautiful and poetic. I honestly felt chills when I first listened to it. I've now listened to it repeatedly for the last three hours. I'm as in love with this song as I love the character it is written about.
I fiiinally finished Inquisition, and romanced Cullen, and this is just. So heartfelt. I can hear my lovely Inquisitor humming this.
When you feel finished, that you have fallen and lost everything, you listen to this song and you get up again.

This is an absolutely amazing song, I almost cried the first time I heard it, and that's saying something since I don't cry over anything. It makes you really feel and fall for Cullen so much harder, he was my first romance and ever since he has been the only one in my Inquisitor's heart. The meaning behind the lyrics also suit Cullen so well with everything he has been through and shows that all we can do is push on and continue to have hope that the dawn will come. Cullen is such an amazing and lovable character, with his willingness to fight his lyrium addiction, wrestle with all the trauma from the 5th Blight and Kirkwall, and even what the Chantry itself did to him. He never gave up hope and he has been strong through it all, he never gave up on the Maker and still shows his love for Him and how everything has made him a stronger and more caring man. Cullen is and will always be the man of my Inquisitor's dreams, to have a man like Cullen who is caring and accepting even though she is so radically different and seen as an outcast wherever she goes.

I don't know how many times I've listened to this after the recent death and destruction that has touched my life. It makes me fall for Cullen a little harder every time. He's been through a different kind of death and destruction and he's pulled himself back together, even after the lyrium.

Oh my god. I first heard this song when I was drawing and youtube autoplayed all the tavern songs of Dragon Age. I did not realize this WASN'T in the game. I only found out when a couple days later I looked at the title. I am beyond impressed. Great job on creating something that fit so well in DAI, I didn't even notice!!

Your voice is absolutely beautiful. I normally prefer male voices because I find high-pitched voices annoying, BUT DAMN LADY WHAT A VOICE YOU HAVE! It's absolutely beautiful, and it fits the style of the song so well... it's like a mixture of the DA tavern songs and Celtic music, I think. I’ve been gatekeeping it in fear of people I actually know finding out I did this 😅 It’s been used in a fan fiction, but that’s about as far as it went, I think.
I love Cullen. He did things not everyone has the will to do. I always believed that if Cullen could still command an army while dealing with withdrawal because he had to, he wanted to. I hoped my dad would've at least tried to have that will and save my family, but he didn't. Cullen holds a place in my heart because he tried. Trying matters more than anything because it'll get someone away from where they were. I only wish more people would try.

His writers did such a good job on his story and character (as with most of the characters in the DA universe, but I digress...) that he comes across as so incredibly “real”. I’m glad they decided to bring him over from DA:Origins and the little cameo in DA2!

This music is almost a classic for me has been in my fnatasy playlist for years on yt, and i really wish it was on spotfy. I'm kind of scared of this channel ending and we end up losing this music forever.

Beautiful song, Not only does it remind me of my favourite character in DAI (and cough the DA Cullen mods - Mage tower romance and party addition on Nexus), but also deals well with his PTSD. Bioware was back on form with DAI, even if we all wished for more content. A big shout out to my old friends on the old BSN Cullen and Alistair threads!

I feel sorry for Cullen. He suffered both physically and mentally during his time with the Inquisition. I glad he finally got the rest he deserved at the end of Trespasser.
