Yes, that was a big disappointment for me. If the actors are still available, they should complete the story ...not leave the audience wondering what happened to all involved. Please complete the story with a part two!

I love this movie! It's perfect exactly as it is. Claudio is an arrogant jerk, but Father Walter is delightful. Thanks for the excellent English subtitles.

Secondly, Claudio may be beautiful but he's also arrogant, presumptuous, tries too hard (taking his shirt off in the sanctuary...really?), and is, overall, a jerk. Were he not so handsome, he'd be considered obnoxious and full of himself. I don't mind open endings, but this felt like someone left the last five minutes on the cutting room floor. It didn't end, it stopped.

Hello. The ending was not cut. The end credits were originally slower. But yes we agree it is a very well done film!

I guess the ending says that the priest is smiling and asking us all to go out as we are similar as Lazarus to came out from the grave.

Life is ambiguous. I think the ending is quite clear: the priest is coming to terms with his sexuality and enjoying working on the play.
