No big deal theme parks? I’m just amazed it has theme parks. I live in a city of 400,000 in New Zealand and it is nothing like Lusail. We have no theme parks, no skyscrapers, our stadium isn’t even big enough for a concert. My city is so boring, Lusail looks amazing! There must be so much stuff to do in that city. If I ever visit it will definitely be a trip of a lifetime and very memorable. I would like to live somewhere like that but it seems very expensive. I mean people are richer in the Arabian peninsula.
There are only 313,000 Qataris so assuming each of their 8 stadiums holds at least 50,000 people, they don't even have enough people to fill those stadiums. And with a total population of just 2.6 million, they don't have enough people for even 1 megacity.

In addition u can't just separate the citizen from the residents because most of football matches you will notice they are more of none Qataris people. This stadiums were built for everyone lives in Qatar. Moreover some of the stadiums will be donated to other poor countries. Furthermore Qatar will host a lot other sport events in the future such as AFC Asian Cup 2027 and Asian Olympics 2030. And Qatar plans to make Doha and Lusail a tourism destination as well. therefore this a long term project for 2030 and it's not a 2022 project with a capacity around 400,000 as well
I'm planning on going next year to the World's Cup if they are open by then. Hopefully, there's no restrictions. I'm staying by the mall in the center of town. I like that area the best.

@@danosborn956 to be fair, Qatar is the only county in the middle east where they don't keep the workers hostage by seizing their passports. other countries in the region did that and pointed a finger at Qatar (UAE), and workers have 12 hour shifts with a 12 hour break. they build a section to cater for the many migrants (asia town) with businesses selling products they'd get back home and a stadium for games and such. they even have a cinema there too! I've visited a few times and while the country before wasn't good about it, they treat them WAYYYY better now and they are compensated for it. even things like telephone plans to call home have been subsidized by the government as well as food staples so that they can afford to live here AND send money home. they understand that these people are doing the hard work for them and make sure they are compensated for it. now some private companies have discriminated against them, such as malls having "family fridays" and kicking them out of the building to have richer migrant families use the amenities, but that's no fault of the government as they have invested in keeping the workers happy and well cared for.

@@danosborn956 to be fair, Qatar is the only county in the middle east where they don't keep the workers hostage by seizing their passports. other countries in the region did that and pointed a finger at Qatar (UAE), and workers have 12 hour shifts with a 12 hour break. they build a section to cater for the many migrants (asia town) with businesses selling products they'd get back home and a stadium for games and such. they even have a cinema there too! I've visited a few times and while the country before wasn't good about it, they treat them WAYYYY better now and they are compensated for it. even things like telephone plans to call home have been subsidized by the government as well as food staples so that they can afford to live here AND send money home. they understand that these people are doing the hard work for them and make sure they are compensated for it.
now some private companies have discriminated against them, such as malls having "family fridays" and kicking them out of the building to have richer migrant families use the amenities, but that's no fault of the government as they have invested in keeping the workers happy and well cared for.
Workers are slaves? I don't know where are you from but you have to change your mentality

Some people are thinking that they're not very concerned about it because they already know how to stop it but they're using it to cut down the population to a more manageable size just to save time, money and resources. That does sound like our government. Everyone's saying they're all in. But then instead of passing anything they send letters to the president begging him to do something. He's waiting for them to give him something to sign! It's like a bad Abit and Gesteloe routine.

I don’t think we’ll ever get rid of covid. We’ll get stronger vaccines and medication for it so it will become more of a nuisance like the flu.

the finishings on the apartments are not that great and not in the same category as the Pearl. I looked at 12 apartments all over Lusail and just couldn't find one that resonated with me.
