- Scratch, 4th Steam Test, Where Does Time Go!!
First Steam Test was Summer 2021 after a couple of years scratch building my first Steam Locomotive. A Metre Maid a 0-6-2 version of a 0-4-2 Sweet Pea Locomotive designed by Jack Buckler back in the 1970's, You never see 2 of these hundreds that were built and still being built, exactly the same.
Great for beginners, intermediate and advanced Locomotive builders.

Nice early morning walk and a chance to hear the birds sing is always a good thing in my books. That's quite a track you have there Kev. What's the total length of it, looks like a lot of fun, great achievement on the loco a superb bit of kit

Trouble is when your trying to juggle things around and help a friend with his loco which i have limited knowledge on. Then you get the tyre kickers coming round throwing comments in while your trying to concentrate. It's a nightmare sometimes

Hi Kev, A great test run and you had the place for yourself for while too. The track is dual guage but what are the guages? Yours looked the narrower one I think.

the ground level track i was on is 7.1/4" & 5" mines the latter
the raised track is 2.1/2! 3.1/2" & 5 "
