Hi AK 😀 The Hanoi metro was very impressive! Very clean, no graffiti, trash thrown around and probably very safe at all hours ! 🥀 Thanks for taking us places most of us will never experience!
You're welcome! I thought it was very efficient
These Metro rides are great to watch , train looks clean 9:32 and the ride itself looked enjoyable 😎Thank you for sharing this enjoyable and relaxing Metro Ride experience A K🙂👍!!!
Much appreciated, it was a nice Metro ride!
Vietnam’s subway is pretty amazing! I Love it ❤ very flow and modern.
I love Vietnam 🇻🇳😍❤️ So clean
Love from India 🇮🇳😊👌
This is fantastic!! I can't wait to head back to Vietnam again. So many changes since my last visit back in 2016.
This year, there would be two new lines, one in HCM city and one in Hanoi.
That's great
Really?
@@PaulChan1329 yeah, sure man! Come to VN next year bro
@@dinhgiatien6893 I've been to Vietnam many times. But the most unique and impressive city for me is Hoi An.
@@PaulChan1329 oh great! Thanks for visiting ! Probably Vietnam is not your type ! Everyone has their own tastes lol
Lol, Vietnamese here, never would think Hanoi would appear in your video.
Welcome to Vietnam and thanks for the video.
Good looking metro Vietnam already looking like a developed country .... I wish my country become this clean n deveoped ... Love from India 💓💙
Spotless!
I'm glad they're building metros in Vietnam. They really need them. They'll be really well used once they get bigger.
Yes, metro systems are definitely needed in Vietnam!
It was built by a Chinese company.
@@EnriqueLopez-lf8qm Ha noi city France no China.Ho chi minh city Jan pan.
The ActionKid knows Subways 🚇 ! He enjoys a smooth ride & nice views of Hanoi. Clean stations 🚉 advertising free impress him. 🐼
Nice video! I love using the metro and use it a lot in my city. I hope Hanoi can get a large network someday. But based on this video, I think they're already on the right path.
Looks modern and amazing. I think this is how Bogotá's first line is gonna look like because if im not wrong, both lines Hanoi and Bogotá are under the same construction company.
oh, Bogotá? i suprise that the city still manage to get first metro line, cause i admire the effectiveness of BRT system there!
I think your first line will be much more modern, while our was built on 15 years ago technology contract, the progress was delayed alots because of corruption.
@@evernam993m8 I didn’t know Hanoi’s metro was supposed to be constructed so many years ago! Here in Colombia we have similar corruption issues and that’s an absolute mess! But I’m glad both countries Colombia and Vietnam continue developing✨
I am not being political or transfixed on how a country is run, but It's interesting after a War, how impressive some countries are, or become modernized with vast improvements for it's benefits for the improvements in People's lives, as Vietnam and the City of Hanoi, has shown. I don't know or understand everything and the processes fully, as it is unique and especially the Warmth of the People and their behaviors and interactions with each other are so full of kindness!💓
Why can't NYC subways be this clean?
Because NYC's government is incompetent, and despite all of the money thrown at it, the NYCTA doesn't seem to be able to keep its stations clean or to refurbish them enough to look great, up to the standards and cleanliness of this systems' stations (although that _could_ be changed by having the entire subway system be shut down at 12:00 AM for cleaning and maintenance.)
Because NYC doesn’t own it’s subway system. It is profitable but state authorities funnel the money to other transportation systems and it is chronically underfunded. 😂
@@potapenkovalexander, the state government can still fund a complete refurbishment of most of the stations that are in need of it, and afterward, the state government can also mandate that the subway be shut down every night (around 11:30 PM-12:00 AM) for general cleaning and maintenance, as is done in London, Tokyo, Paris, Montreal, and Toronto.
@@Neville60001 And they can also have night bus services temporarily replace them during those times, just like they did during the COVID lockdowns. London (TfL), Paris (RATP), Montreal (STM), and Toronto (TTC) have such services. However, one criticism I have about Tokyo (Toei) and other Japanese cities is that (for country with the best urban public transport in the world) still don't even have them, and so you will either be forced to take an expensive taxi, walk a long way, or just wait until the next day at a capsule hotel.
I imagine that the NYC subway was also pretty clean in spring 1907.
Interesting vlog !
Thanks!
Just like Miami Florida
Yes, it's similar to the Miami Metrorail!
Vietnamese from Hanoi here, thanks for visiting our metro!
Our metro is really great, but the construction time was very long.
This line was planned in 2010. Yes, you've read it right: 2010. Due to a lack of funding and arguments with the streets that were located on the metro (since it takes a lot of space making traffic worse and the region the Metro served was very crowded), it got delayed by ten-plus years.
I saw one comment saying two more lines will be opened, one here and one in Ho Chi Minh City.
Well, the line in HCM has opened since the end of 2023, maybe it didn't reach the international news.
And unfortunately, no more lines will open in Hanoi this year. It was supposed to open this year, Line 3 from Nhon to Hanoi Railway Station, but was delayed until 2027, once again due to a lack of funding but no arguments.
My home isn't located even near the metro, in fact, it is on the east side of the Red River. (Asia) There are only planning lines in that area possibly opening from 2050-2070. I would be like 70 when that happens!
Anyways, I once again say thank you for visiting our metro. We are very proud of it.
Yes, this project is VN’s first, and it encountered many legal problems, thats why it was delayed for more than 10 years, and many anti-China people are only blaming China (Chinese company was in charge of the project), they never mentioned the real causes of the problems were on Vietnamese side, nothing to do with Chinese company. Now the railways is running good, and these people stopped whining. The Vietnamese government just singed new contracts for a high speed line, connecting China’s Kunming city to VN’s port of Haiphong . Vn had waited for so long to corporate with China, is mainly political and distrustful of China’s technology, but becuase VN failed to had Japan due to the cost, therefore, VN has to let China do it’s first High-speed rail way, after over 10 years of successful Chinese systems (the biggest ,longest system in the world)
@@Namoari941 That's true, China helped us in the trains and maybe other things I don't know.
Nhổn - ga Hà Nội mở đoạn trên cao vào tháng 6-2024 mà, đoạn ngầm mới bị delay đến 2027.

Hey Ken why the hell that you got off at that dirty canal. Next station is royal city megamall with tons of fun. 😂
If you come back here in 2 years you will see how beautiful this river will be, we are completing 90% of the water change and filtration project for this river, it has been turquoise in many test runs. check. The entire infrastructure along this river will be completely redone
Is it possible to drive in on moped in Hanoi Metro?
Modern city !
chờ đợi mấy chục năm, thiệt muốn khóc
Tất cả do chính phủ chứ không phải do chủ đầu tư.
I thought you explored all the stations, roughly 30mins, recording live one side forth and back will be a good 1hr
Hi, ActionKid. Until last year, Hanoi Metro is the newest addition in Southeast Asia’s urban transit system. Then in the 4th quarter of 2023, Jakarta launched a new 2-lines LRT system.
If you have chance, please visit Jakarta as well and review our metro. Thank you
Have you tried Pho in Hanoi? It’s invented in that city.
Hi ken.. thank you for sharing this beautiful country with us.
I was looking at a news story that stated one of the richest people in Vietnam was sentenced to death for fraud. How is this impacting the citizens / residents of Vietnam?
Nothing much, like an international report on Vietnam during the 1990s, they said it's hard to do any calculation on Vietnamese economy, because Vietnamese don't put money in banks they hid it under their pillows. Most of Vietnamese businesses are entrepreneurs, the gov doesn't have the accurate estimation at all. If you go to Vietnam now people follow the rise and drop of gold and USD daily, because that's their investment, they don't trust the gov too much. So only a fraction of the population put money in banks, the rest put money in purchasing lands, real estates, gold bars, or simply send money to oversea banks.
Much appreciated! I'm not that insightful as to the impact of that news story to the citizens/residents of Vietnam.
No plolem
just like florida and new york metro
More like Miami's metro than New York City's.
It doesn't really remind me of New York's public transit as much.
@@ActionKid, me neither, it's more like Miami's elevated system.
Why wait so long to start traveling? Or do we have to wait for the passengers to fill up first?
I'm confused how this system will actually work, it looks like the line you are on terminates in the centre of the city; and there is another line which is also elevated on its outer section and tunnel on the inner section but the tunnel isn't open yet and so for now both lines don't connect. I think once the tunnel section opens on the other line they will operate as an unconnected pair. No idea what other plans they do have.
Why does the Metro move opposite the arrow on the display?
It kinda looks like Medellin’s metro
Exactly! 💯
Very interesting!
❤เวียดนาม เราจะพัฒนาไปด้วยกัน😊🇹🇭
Did they forget to put platform screen doors for no reason whatsoever? I expected such a metro line built by the Chinese to have them like other Chinese-built metros. At least HCMC metro has them, even though it is not even open yet (**cough** **cough** JICA shenanigans *cough*)
Most European metro don't have screen doors...France is one.
@@rock3times Some lines in Paris already have them though…
@@trainsandmore2319 that's good beginning...
Maybe it's for the reason of cost
I'm surprised by how much is written in English there.
Sauatters outside hahaha. I've been there early this year. So many slums.
Those are tube houses, they are expensive.
This metro line in Hanoi hired a safety company from France to inspect 10 points, of which only 3 passed the criteria. Normally they have to pass every point, or 8 out of 10, but they opened the service. without revising the safety standards first.
what source of information?
Turk high-tech! The smart nation.
I have a folder about it (folder 6 in the playlist).
0:12: it name is not ga cát linh, it just cát linh, the word “ga” is station
7:04 in southeast asia and asia they are standart to have this maps in train ammmmmmmm
America is really doing the least to improve public transportation. They need to Expand Metro Systems and also give cities like Houston, Dallas-FW, NJ Urban Corridor, and Charlotte some type of Metro
US ride on cars. Big car companies like GM and Ford hate metro for competing with them for riders.
@@rock3times Exactly outside of NYC,Jersey, Philly everywhere else is Car dependent
Walls are as slant as NYC Ferry interior
I’m not going to even lie why can’t the NYC subway can be clean 🧼 like people peeing on the subway and throwing garbage down the tracks and stuff like that 😢
please visit indonesia too
Ho Chi Minh must be turning over in his grave: English signs and announcements! I have to watch the rest of your VN videos. Safe travels.
Ho chi Minh spoke fluent English French and German
Very interesting, thank you. I was just surprised.
Uncle Ho, very much respect the American people and custom. He just had difficulty dealing with the US government at the time.
@@HoangLe-ht5fo Thank you for this comment, which teaches me more about Ho Chi Minh. I expected the English language not be so prominent as symbolic of the U.S. involvement. It is nice to see, however, that Americans are welcome in Vietnam.
✨👍✨
US has so many cars, so metro will compete for riders...
well done China!
