What an epic release!!!
@@MikkelGrumBovin moog one
I saw a muse in concert tonight and I also have some news about a new earthquaker devices synth, I am uplaoding a video right now.
Sweet ill check it out put link here
There is much here to like; I understand folks being super jazzed over it. Nice to see what looks a winner after the 2 flaming bags on the doorstep with Labyrinth and Spectravox. What makes a synth perfection is different for everyone. Whether whatever holds a synth back from that is acceptable is also different for everyone. Despite only having a few things (which could not be addressed in a possible future firmware) keeping it from perfection in my mind one of them is an instant DQ. One more expression input and 3 or even 4 part multitimbral gets it close to perfection, but stereo outs per layer (especially on a synth with onboard effects) are an absolute must have for me. Forcing both layers down the same onboard and external effects path on something with such a great voice architecture is inexcusable.
There can only be one: MOOG ONE
Ooooh moog one is dooone
An expensive Behringer.
Oooooh how dare u 😂
delta you are right, i am uploading a review of a concert i saw tonight with a muse. also i have news about a new synth by earthquaker devices.
Probably ... the M32 and DFAM were cheaply made, no better than Behringer quality. I wonder if the Muse is even made in the USA, i noticed my last Moog purchase no longer said "Made in USA" on it.
The DFAM had all the pots integrated onto the PCB ... like it's disposable when the pots go it's trash
@ComsiCaterpillar muse… id say made in taiwan 🇹🇼 at most assembled in usa but i doubt it for this price point
My K2000 sounds way better and cost way more in the early 90’s at that…. I also have an arsenal of floppies for it as ammunition. 4k for this lame thing …. WTF …. Seems like all this company can do is keep remaking the same idea. Like a broken record.
Matt Johnson from the band JAMIROQUAI
Hes a legend
@@synthsamuraiproductions. Do you not know Jamiroquai, the band?! You’re making me feel really old, haha.
Yeah i heard of them
@@synthsamuraiproductions Have you seen the movie Napoleon Dynamite? The dance he does towards the end is to a popular Jamiroquai song. I’ve been a fan of them since their early days. Also been following Matt Johnson for a few years. He teaches some good funky keyboard lessons and things of that nature. Anyway bro, appreciate you and the content ✌🏻
MattJohnsonJamiroquai has played keyboards in the band Jamiroquai since 2002. 🎹
Thats cool. He is a great demoer
Nah, Rev 2 is its own thing … with 16-voices, it’s the last Poly I would sell …
Rev 2 is great good price for what u get a swiss army knife
The Muse seems to be what i thought it was going to be, a beast! I'll probably get it when i pay down a little debt haha I'm definitely part of the moog bros I've had 6 different moogs over the years 2 were vintage and one was the 2016 minimoog, my main synth is the matriarch.
Its a beauty but pricey but so far sounds insane
For me I am leaning towards the Polybrute 12. The MPE keyboard gives it the edge over the Muse to me. I love the sounds coming out of the Polybrute as well. Watching the videos of the Muse, it just doesn’t grab my attention as much. I think it’s priced very well for a Moog and blew away my expectations there.
Yeah i like PB12 as well. I want both but will get neither 😂
@@synthsamuraiproductionsso true lol.
Muse looks and sounds good but compared to Polybrute it's quite boring. And I'm speaking about OG Polybrute. PB12 is a bit too heavy and not everyone needs 12 voices. I think Arturia should make a 8 voices PB with that new aftertouch and sell it for $3500 to be directly compared to Muse (and they will win that comparison).
@AntonMochalin deadly idea. I hope the both do desktop versions
50 Cent didn't create Vitamin Water. Glacéau was founded by Darius Bikoff in 1996. Fiddy signed an endorsement deal with Vitaminwater, which included a minority stake in the company.
Coca-Cola paid 4.1 billion cash for Glacéau in 2007. 50 Cent made 10 million from that sale.
Nice haul. Love 50
Echo on the labrynth mafia seduction 🎉❤ Great content 👍
Yes indeed cheers for joining us
Yo Echo!! Cool to see ya braah! My opinion of the Muse? I think it's a master class on how to launch a Synth, they teed this up perfect, and the Muse seems to have the recipts. Worthy of the Moog name. Don't think I've been this excited for a synth in a few years. P.S. Think I may have bought one of the last available units from Sweetwarer, ETA, Sunday 🎉
Oh man the muse got
Me sprung
Nobody talks bout the summit
Sol
True
A few who recognize it is a serious alternative to this that can be had mint for less than half as much are keeping their mouths shut - the used prices have crept up a bit lately anyway...
@klstay rumors novation has new poly in the works
@@synthsamuraiproductions WOW woooottt
@@synthsamuraiproductions if true that might be a great thing; especially now Muse has made the 6 voice Sequential synths completely obsolete so Focusrite needs something competitive in that space. (Can you imagine having bought a Trigon just over a month ago so the return window is now closed) Replace the current filters with those from Prophet 5 and SEM off OB-X8 plus license the Medeli keybed used on Hydrasynth. Maybe add a fancy pants arp and sequencer as on Muse. Make it 4 parts with stereo outs/layer and it could be perfection.
Matt Johnson’s blew the Muse out of the water. Like, Wowy Zowy baby, you’re so fine! It did remind me of a combination of the Mini, CS-80 and Profit 5 all in one man! Poly Brute ain’t got sh#t on this I’m saying right now. Good luck to all chasers. I don’t have the $ and my wife is gonna kick my ass but I’m getting it! Mic drop. Out!
Yeah matty nailed it best vid out there
So after all I was right back then about the price of this thing. Still a bit expensive compared to other products (Behringer or Arturia, for example), but at least in the ballpark.
Expensive cause name but overall a great flagship for inmusic
S.I.N.(SYNTH INSURGENT NETWORK)
I like it
Moog....great at making synths for collectors and not so much musicians.
Not wrong
Couldn't agree more ... the ARP 2600 was the real first portable synth .... the mini moog was basically just a keyboard ... way too stripped down for me. The ARP 2600 and the Pro One are way better than any of the moogs. I'll give Moog credit for selling the first transistor versions of a modular synth in the 1960's, but Moog's boards from the 1970's were super boring
@ComsiCaterpillar whats thoughts on muse vs polybrute??
Lisa Bella Donna’s video was epic.👏🏻👋🏼
Yeah man what skills on her woooweeee
funny, i got annoyed by the ton of vids released the same day i thought it was ridiculous. saw loopop's for demo and mat johnson's (the jamiroquai guy) for hearing sounds played, but when i saw that yt was sending tens of vids (are they giving these away by tens? this must not be worth what it's sold for, no vid costs 4k lets be serious), so i started to be anoyed and and went for "not interested" when i saw heinbach who usually was more about sound design, creation and promoting cool indi small brands transformed into a sales man... my opinion though, but like echo there are more and more hipster ytbers that i just cant stand... All about gear all the time, aint nobody using they stuff to make real music and share a good vibe, it's all about feuling your gas, witch is an illness, and at the end of the day, where are the mega producers givin' it heavy?
Great question where are all the mega producers??
That's right. You can't sell new synths if folks are satisfied with what they already have. Gotta make them feel shame for not having the latest and greatest. You won't get laid without the Moog Muse in 2024! 😂
@HazeAnderson 😂 amazing
@@synthsamuraiproductions well at least you guys (even if i'm not in that b bros thing lol) 1- are not anoying sell out histers, 2- are promoting and diffusing live sessions and producing, that's super... i need to send something for the live session streams one day but i'm sooo buisy...
Cheers my brother! Once o lauch Kumite Radio ill hit u up and u can drop a track
Andertons review/run-through was really good - a dude from Moog Berlin, I think … likewise Sound On Sound, if you want a more in-depth run-through of the features
Lots of great demos the synth speaks for itself unlike the labyrinth
This was a moog moon shot at the midnight hour and they planted the flag ❤
Yup i agree
Desktop Muse is such a great idea and comment! Loopop said the keyboard was not top. I sympathise with the delay now, sounds really great.
Desktop is legendary idea
They would have to reduce the knobage…😢
Are the potentiometers serviceable or is this more disposable trash like the M32/DFAM ?
Labyrinth trash muse gold
If by serviceable you mean clip wired to a control board instead of soldered to it I think you are dreaming at this price, but until someone opens one up to confirm I suppose it is remotely possible...
@@klstay It's just so nuts to me as a lifelong electronics tech that Moog charges so much for gear that will be toast & unserviceable inside of a few years ... talking about the DFAM & M32 here... but until proven otherwise I suspect this is the same
@@ComsiCaterpillar I am 99% confident the knobs and sliders are soldered directly to at best a control board and possibly right to the main board. Depending on panel mounting to avoid flex PC board done well is quite serviceable - NOBODY does point to point anymore; not even Studio Electronics. Prophet 5 rev 4 is a good example of done right. Once someone cracks one of these open we will see if it is as well.
@@klstay This is true ... this is why I never sold my vintage gear, it willlast the rest of my life unlike the new school gear. I don't mind modern modular cause if one module goes out no big deal. But in all honesty the synth market is saturated I don't even need anymore synths ...
Like the Steve Miller song "Keep On Rocking Me Baby"!!!
Keep on a rocking me
Baby!!!
@@unclejerrysworld I just like it because Steve mentions Atlanta! 😸🅰️
whats the word - w/no Sarcasm? do you like this one? I havent looked at what dropped yet.
watching some vids now ( as well as urs), Lisa Bella Donna always work checking when it comes to MOOG, altho her promo is fairly simple. I hear some good sounds, but shes also a great musician. I must admit something about MOOG releases has me a bit unsure lately, I dont know.... I like the Matriarch/sub37 aspects of this, but I dont know it also has some Moog One vibes that I dont like. hmmm-- they could probably been competitive at $2200 but I think folks will still pay $3500 haha.
@@d3maccus It’s on the complex side, so worth waiting to see what teething problems it has (hopefully none - and certainly, hopefully nothing like the Moog One).
Huh?
@@synthsamuraiproductions I was asking what you thought of it in a nutshell. I guess its pretty good, I honestly wasn't sold at first, and I still think the reviewers wouldn't give an honest opinion and it could be about $700 less....
I mean i guess i really gotta try it but sounded pretty interesting to me. I like the effects section but it is too expensive a desktop version would be preferable
Heinbach's demo was terrible. It was like he doesn't know what to do with a synth like that. I guess polyphonic analog keyboards are not his thing. LBD did a perfect demo as usual, but LBD can make the labyrinth sound good too 😂. So I guess the true value of this synth is somewhere between those two demos.
Daniel fishers and mylar melodied were my 2 favorites.
Right wing synth mob!
Haha 😂 synth biker gang angel wings baby
