They said only local bikes can pass through the bridge. How do they consider you are local or not? By the bike numbers. There is nothing to do with nationality or skin colour. And another guy wanted to say, don't block the way to the local park the bikes. He thought you wanted to cross the bridge by the walk.

@MrDarcy-OlMan didnt the ones in front record wat was the reason....wen u turned the fruit seller was saying to not block the road and to park it such that it dosnt block the road...at last he said angrily is that a way to park...right across the pathway...
In Goa,lot of spots have become popular ,but the pathways are actually private property that were ways for foot traffic, but now have become vehicle pathwyas for tourists and locals without compensation to the owners.some places were there is too much of a crowd, they make locals too, park their vehicles and walk to the beach

Glad to see another sample of my Int650 in its natural habitat, after so many kilometers. Yes, those Red Roosters sound very nice. Darcy, as I understand, you already had a bad back from times before the trip, right? India has it all for a long tour: it's huge, beautiful, varied, full of culture and history, some English is spoken (lots if you are in the urban areas of course), and it's a free country. Also, we get to better know the people who have brought so many things to the world at large, including the REs, so what else could we ask for? I'm definitively going. ❤

Locals tend to be little confronting near that ferry system with all kinds of tourists because that's the only way they can connect to the mainland. They are a population displaced by the construction of the hydroelectric project.
The ferry system has limited hours of operation within which they have to travel to and fro to the mainland for occupation and education, and closes as early as 6:30pm in the evening. Theres no alternative bridge yet. Hopefully the new bridge thats being constructed will resolve this.

I absolutely love this content, I think it's by far the best thing you've done up until now on your show and I urge you both to change the direction of your content a little from time to time and get out testing adventure type bikes like the marvellous Royal Enfield's, I'd like to see you both together more father and son riding different bikes to varied and interesting places in the world and experiencing different cultures and interacting with foreign people. We have all seen riders like 'Itchy Boots' do this sort of thing but you could potentially do so much more. I will say that I find your slant to testing bikes very enjoyable mainly due to your kindly and polite attitudes and the way you concentrate on the positive aspects of the bikes and the situations you find yourselves in rather than dwell on the negative like other I've watched on YT, I've followed other bike test orientated video's but soon find them a bit boring as I had found recently with your own content but not any more, now I can't wait for each new episode of this Indian adventure you are on as a super interesting and rewarding thing!

The whole route you rode during this video is actually tailor made for the monsoon rainy season. The detour to Gokarna would've been perfect which is called as minimalistic goa. BTW the bridge which you weren't allowed is specifically built for people from the villages which are on the other side. The bridge gets flocked by bygoners and everyone tends to visit bypassing its true purpose. So there's been unofficial restrictions as such. Nice video btw.

You guys are incredible! Riding motorcycles over such long distances is truly amazing. If I were in your place, my bottom would’ve been badly bruised. You mentioned the highway where traffic was coming from the wrong side of the road due to a landslide-interestingly, I actually worked on that highway project for over five years.
The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking, and when you're riding or driving, it brings a wonderful sense of peace. As for the cows blocking the roads, I used to call them "traffic wardens" while working there. They ensure you don’t get too lost in the scenery and help keep your attention on the road, encouraging you to drive or ride at a sensible speed.
I wish you had come down to Mangalore-you would have experienced even more stunning temples and churches!

Sadly, the NSDAP appropriated it, turned it 45 degrees and made it a symbol of evil. Interestingly, the way it was roadside, vertical and in blue, the symbol was used on a white circular background as the national marking on the fuselages of the Finnish Air Force, between 1918 and 1945.

That was his excuse for being rude. That shopkeeper was being bossy and rude from the beginning. It’s the local population in that area, they are hostile towards Indians from other states too if they speak a different language.

That guy in the shop wasn't hostile. He just asked you to park your bike on the side. He was objecting to the bike being parked in the middle of the road as it may block traffic and maybe prevent customers from coming to his shop..He was holding his hand against his head as if to say "how do I make him understand"

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan

4:00 whats the population stats...compare it with the density, land mass and chaos. India is pretty safe, however we are fast getting there where it will be not.

Hitler never used swastika word, Germans used to call it hecencrutze which means hooked cross. But there was one historian who was a pastor, he named it as swastika and guess what Hollywood picked it up and started calling it as swastika. Swastika is the symbol of peace and India is the only country where Jews never persecuted. In fact we have Parisian zorashtrian community and Jews living from 1000s of years.

[2:13] I believe that in India, the symbols often have wavy legs on the end, rather than straight, sometimes have 4 dots in the middle, and sometimes are a mirror image, running anti-clockwise, rather than clockwise, but not always. The Indian Sanskrit term svastika, meaning "well-being" or "good luck', could be used by Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. No, the Germans didn't use it the other way around (anticlockwise), and a quick Google would demonstrate how the nazis used this symbol and at what angle. Unfortunately, there were a few Adolf supporters in India in the 1930s, but hopefully none in the 2020s. Long may we have peace and love in India.
