I’m always so impressed with the detail of the equipment the terrain the complexity of the different sounds and how they interact. Very impressive game
Have you made a video showing how you set these battles up yet? I'd be interested in seeing. Editor is becoming my new main mode but setting up the battles is tricky
Dont know if this helps: but the way i learned to use editor at first was to look up guides (look up Gates Of Hell Editor Steam guides, they’re great starting out) on google for the basics. Then I advanced to not only watching UA-cam video’s but also looking up a bunch of helpfull (really great) tutorials and guides on MOWAS2 since it runs on the same system and ways of setting everything up -> then I used the guides and videos for both MOWAS 2 and Gates of hell to set up small battles and encounters and slowely build from there. After that I started downloading mission from other people (Such as WIGA) and looking at their settup (load mod -> Editor -> F3 -> look for the name of map/mod -> select mission within and you can see all the steps they took. This is probably what I learned all the advanced stuff from. Finally i use a mix of practice, knowing the functions of all tabs and other peoples missions and maps to futher and improve how I make encounters. Extra tips: If you load up the single player campaign in editor (solo tab) it has the most advanced mission setups you could ever wish to learn from developers themselfs. Also when you see those inticate battles with tons of soldiers, tanks, etc. Just know there are a lot of waypoints and other commands set up so KEEP IT ORGANISED, you’ll thank me later Also dont shy away from experimenting, you’ll fck up but its neccesary to figure certain things out. Hope this helps
What a great battle, very cool to have a nice view and just take in the whole battle. Flamethrowers, tank combat and soviet swimming lessons. Another amazing video man.
Will we see anymore of the alternate history series you were doing before with the Russian and German empires? Was really enjoying that and what its potential was.
Really amazing vid bro !!! Loved the flamethrower action, tank battles and that 600mm was the icing on the cake. Still, if the Russian soldiers captured that 600mm and used it on the retreating German forces, it would've been a great ending to this battle. But no matter, it was a great battle. Can't wait to watch more !
Epic battle.but ngl I know you wanted to show us the thor's power, but that shot you just shot have impacted the German PAK40 and anti-tank gun positions. And ain't thats helping soviets for real bruh. But I love your videos ❤❤
Hey, do you know why the gates of hell workshop feels so empty of content? Like there's no one publishing missions or new interesting mods. A stark difference to the golden age of MOWAS2 where it almost felt like there was a new mission to be played everyday. Kinda upsetting, I'm always checking the workshop for new mods but always leave disappointed, do you know why? I know that The Old Boys Battalion Commander mod author is busy so no updates, but there's other mod authors right?
This looked great BUT.. had to switch off as the jerking camera really annoyed. I couldn’t focus on the battle the way I would have liked. Shame as it did look good. Please stop moving the camera every 2 seconds. Its fine when you are watching it on your PC but not great for viewers.
Had an alternate history idea of the soviet union invading its neighbors first. With England, France (and later America) being kinda forced into an alliance with Germany the same way they were with the soviets in our timeline. (We overlooked the soviets atrocities during the war we would do the same with the germans)
But the Soviet Union did invade its neighbours, the west just didn't view the Soviet Union as a threat to them and so they didn't want to fight with them. The Soviet Union invaded Poland, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia etc
