I own a gt6 MK3 with the Monza exhaust just like this. Imported from the USA (I'm in the UK) with only 40k on the clock and no rot. With the Monza exhaust and when the engine tune is perfect it sounds simply lovely
Lovely car .. nicer than the MGs in my mind..only thing wrong steering wheels on the wrong side😢mite be a good thing.. be rotten away over here in the UK..😊
These cars are better when they have been altered to CV joints at back wheels as the universals joints soon seem to wear out and cause vibration on the steering , had 3 many yrs back.
I had a new one of these back in the 1970s. There are many parts of this car that are not so good and cause trouble. Transmission, clutch, shifter, brakes etc. not that good. Wood dash cracks in veneer easy, engine overheats in the summer and the carbs are a constant pain. It was a cheap British car. That whole genre of British cars were similar in their problems. Largest problem was Lucas electrical parts. If you drive through a puddle in the rain be prepared for it to stop running. It is nice looking, I will give it that.
You obviously know British cars I had a few minutes I know exactly what you're talking about Lucas the Prince of Darkness and also badly prone to rust if you lived in the salt Belt area
Would it be a crime to remove the stock Triumph engine from a GT-6 (store safely to keep unmolested), and implant a built Jaguar 4.2L turbo inline-6 engine with 6-speed manual?
Colour..., Yuck, horrible. The world needs no more grey cars. And no, the wheels are not 'Triumph' wheels. They look like Minilite knock-offs. Speedo is non-functional, carpet in rear looks rather ratty. Conclusion : This car has not been restored in any meaningful way. It's had a quick flashover paint job, and some flashy exhaust work..., and really, not much else. A new clutch..? Uh, so what?

Monza exhaust is licence build Abarth made in USA by the former Abarth Importer

I think this car, under that flasgover of a paint job..., is really not very great.

Better fit an early tr6 injection engine 150 hp

They are not triumph wheels ...do some research
lol, can you blame him? Almost all Triumphs these days run mini lites. Not many still with the original wire wheels.
@@UmmYeahOk Wire wheels were an option. Most had *and still have* pressed steel wheels.
speedo doesnt work. haha
lol, on these, most don’t.
Speedos dead
Speedo didn't work.
Speedo not working doh!
Disconnected so it won’t add to the mileage
