    Single handedly saved my life, very low point for me in that period Tyson came out and started sharing his journey. Felt like I was being mentored through it virtually. I wouldn’t have gone to seek medical help if it wasn’t for you telling me to. I am that 1 person whose life you’ve changed. Thank you

      @Satnav Simmo why are you obsessively commenting the same thing on multiple posts. The fact is he did and probably still does suffer with mental illness. That’s the subject that matters here.

    • @_SIRENITY_
      @_SIRENITY_ 3 роки тому +9

      @Satnav Simmo Your ‘concern’ is away from the subject. I’m just calling you out for wanting to take away the fact he was recovering well from depression and take that away by shining light on something else. So ironically your comment has no substance in the matter at hand. Depression is a serious thing and is what people are caring about here, nobody cares what your opinion is in the lead up. Shame on you for trying to make out it all came about by other means. What you think and what actually happened to him ‘all his life’ means by default your just blowing hot air kid

Never judge a book by its cover. He's a real honest fighting man. He fell out of love with the sport. And to fall back in love with it again Is amazing as this is what helps him with his mental health. He's helped me overcome dark places just listening to him. And I'm sure many of you can agree

    The problem i have is i suffer from a very long term chronic depression. I go to get help and its 8 sessions. I feel rushed like i have to make progress. I find myself embarrassed about not making progress so i tell the therapist i made progress. Then its over after 8 sessions with them just saying "right, keep a diary of what you do each day"........."i dont even shower, shave, brush my teeth, eat at appropriate times, go out, and now youre asking me to keep a diary?" it all just starts from the wrong place for me. I need some proper help but nhs cant provide it and i cant afford to pay for private. So i am just stuck. Everytime i start to get somewhere on my own, something terrible happens and i lose any progress i made which is slow going anyway. I have tried it all.
    It is really great to see this from Tyson and im glad hes helped so many others. I think some people cant be helped though.

    My brother killed himself when I was 12 and that was 21 years ago now. I have accepted it. But I also made attempts on my own life through the years through depression. It's good to see someone like Tyson put themselves out there like this. It will help millions of blokes worldwide including me and he should be commended for it.

    Joan is a Legend. I picked her up from her London home once and found her to be extremely down to earth. Lovely lady.
    Tyson is a legend too! His his own man and that’s a rare thing these days.

    ive suffered for years with depression, i wouldnt get help as i couldn't accept that it was me that needed help. I thought everoyne around me was getting at me. when tyson released the documentry about his comeback and his mental health it gave me the motivation to tell my mum i need help. i broke down and she went to the doctors with me and i cried infront of them both (bare in mind i was 24 male so if you think you would be embarassed then dont because if i can do it, anyone can and its nothing to be ashamed of)
    1 year later im finally starting to stabilize and slowly turning my life around.
    Tyson will never know that he's helped me and i'm nothing to him but he is a hero for me.

    A heavyweight champion who had just beaten Klitschko and displayed his legacy can think of committing suicide. No matter the success or the money, it can happen to anyone. Let the sink in...

      @Satnav Simmo these accusation are bold and wreckless. People with mental health issues commonly drink and party in attempt to suppress what is going on. For you to just scroll down comments replying to pretty much every comment when there has been a very open conversation on prime time television about mental health trying to diminish it is in itself extremely pathetic.

    • @allyofficial4547
      @allyofficial4547 3 роки тому

      @Satnav Simmo I actually said what your doing was pathetic not you. Which I stand by.

    • @allyofficial4547
      @allyofficial4547 3 роки тому +5

      @Satnav Simmo he got banned because his A sample tested for increased levels in his A sample but his B sample was clean. He was handed a provisional ban. The reason he didn't rematch klitschko is because he tested positive for cocaine in his system not PEDs and had issues with depression. Your cherry picking headlines to suit a narrative here.

    Nothing as horrible as knowing theres something wrong and you dont know what it is. My waking moment was spike milligan, depression and how to survive it. Tyson has done so much to help his fellow man through his kindness and willingness to see what sufferers see in others. So glad the world has changed were when nothing matters, we as sufferers do matter. Bless everyone who suffers and those who never got the help.

    Got a lot of respect for Fury speaking about this. I suffered from depression 5 years ago and it was extremely hard to get over, and come back from...... it's something I am educated on now and manage to live with.
    My best friend killed himself a year ago, before this covid thing happened. Shot himself with an air-rifle.
    To any one watching this and feeling down, get help, talk to someone...... you can come back.
