We got rid of Justin, which a lot of us still feel like might've been a mistake (time will tell), and we all want Caleb to prove us wrong. At this point, it feels like Caleb is our last chance, and like you said... Can you blame us? Not really. Lol.

Winning a SB with the QB Sean McVay couldn’t would be the ultimate Dan Campbell move
It has to be right team around him. Goff had the blessing to be under one of the best o-lines of 2023, and had good weapons around him. Weaken that OL in anyway or put any good pressure on him he melts like ice cream on a hot day. We saw that with Goff in the 2nd half against the 49ers, and with Goff in his later tenure with the Rams where he was mixed at best at handling pressure

My favorite game was when Goff faced Stafford at Detroit in the first lions playoffs victory in years. Brought tears to my eyes and poetry to my soul.

That game was so much fun to be at. My first time ever seeing an NFL playoff game and it was special. Those final minutes ticking off the clock were so amazing, I couldn't control my emotions either. Goff has definitely earned the extension for what he's been able to do for this franchise, hopefully it can keep going.

Jared Goff to me at least is the biggest Zero to Hero story right now in the NFL. Guy was basically abandoned by the team who drafted him to go to the Lions and give them a true window.

Browns let Baker go through the most despicable way, jumps to carolina, doesn't do well then gets signed to a 1 year contract to the rams 2 days before a national televised game. He utterly blows the opponent out of the water after only 2 days of reading the play book and saves his career.

I'm also happy for the Lions. Their fan base are some of my favorites (outside of our own) and I think their decades long misery should get some kind of payoff. They're finally built to contend and I think anyone outside of the NFC North is all for it!
Also, I am tempering my hopes for our Chargers. I think in the short term we won't see any significant gains. That WR room has way too many question marks for my liking. But the "Protect Herbert at all costs" mentality is a smart move. We are a glass cannon currently, if he goes down our season is over. So keeping him upright and healthy is our main concern. While I wanted Malik Nabers to bolt up, I think Joe Alt will be the better pick long term.
As a Michigan fan the Chargers are my new favorite AFC team.

My dad is a lifelong Lions fan, and he is fighting the hope. He knows that’s what really hurts you. For years I was confused by his pessimism, but he was usually right.

Mahomes is the best. He plays for KC Cool. Goff is one of 3 QBs to ever QB 2 different teams to the NFC Championship game. The other 2 are Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Elite company. @taterpro7302 You're right, McVay won a SB with his qb, his qb not named Jared Goff. Campbell has built a culture/team very capable of winning a SB with the qb McVay admitted he couldn't win with. It's yet to be seen, but the fact that they're willing to anti up is what I'm eluding to. Where McVay gave up, Campbell is thriving. McVay is widley regarded as the brain child of the offensive think tank. Campbell is widely regarded as the big dumb ogre. If Campbell wins a SB with Goff, he's 10 times the coach McVay could even dream of being, imo. Again, it's yet to be seen and very well may never happen. But the fact that Campbell is willing to pursue a championship with Goff and McVay had to be paid in the trade to get rid of him is pretty telling. Right now, you're right, McVay got his ring. If the Lions get there, McVay turns into Campbell's bitch. Even if they don't win a championship, he's winning with what McVay deemed he couldn't.
