The game has a lot of puzzles and a good portion is in the mansion. None of the cast is in the game. .You see Leon and Ava in later movies but I'm not going to spoil any further
I suggest you anime film "Belle" it's a beautiful film homage beauty and the beast. It was made when COVID-19 was in the worst moment. So they invited people around the world acting voices in some scenes
These movies might be pretty alienating to people who came from the games and expected more horror than action, but they are enjoyable in their own right as action movies
I think the first 2 were pretty faithful to the original material. They follow the same plot points (mansion, secret lab, outbreak, investigation and mystery), and the atmosphere was very solid in both movies. However things went downhill after 2. Post apocalypse is not what RE is about.
@@BissFlix I’m not saying the movies are masterpieces, but they are fun enough to watch and Milla Jovovich is cool. I thought the fifth one, Retribution, was in ”so bad, it’s good” territory
3rd movie. That's where fans went wtf. The Mad Max setting of this movie was a mistake, but it's actually not terrible aside from that. 4th movie gets back on track with a retelling of RE5 but set in LA, with elements of RE:Rev 2 thrown in such as Claire, the prison, etc. Not everyone liked RE5 because it was a lot more action-oriented and "Tomb Raidery". The movie simply inherits this shift. Actually, the main cast of this movie is quite close to that in RE: Death Island if you think about it: Alice is simply Remake Jill, Chris is Chris, Claire is Claire, and... Luther can substitute for Leon? Idk, it's close enough. 🤷♀ 5th movie is sort of RE6, easily my most hated game of the franchise. (Story/atmosphere was fine, but the game design was an absolute abomination.) Last movie just wraps up. And speaking of RE6, the gameplay is shocking. "Hot garbage" would be a compliment. The movie is actually better because I don't have to play it. (I am totally playing RE6: The Mercenaries at the moment though and it's pretty fun.)
Michelle Rodriguez was also the rebel pilot in Avatar and she was in Dungeons & Dragons - Honour Among Thieves. There is a rumour that they will remake the 1st Resident Evil game again but, no this doesn't follow the plot. You should give Cube a watch for rooms with traps.
Totally agree. They have some continuity problems between films and don't follow the games closely at all - but they're a hell of a lot of fun if you just embrace them for what they are. 1-3 are my favorites, but they're all worth a watch for the monsters and action scenes alone. They don't get enough love.
imagine if a director who wasn't a complete moron did them. re is such a popular name and could have made a great movies, they should have given it to a decent director who could actually capture the feel of the games. the 2nd movie is the only one that does a decent job of capturing the feel of the games.
Love these movies, I’m a huge fan of the games, but these movies are still awesome even though they don’t follow the story lines from the games… 1,2,3 and 4 are my favorites of this movie franchise…
For most people who are around 30 or in the mid-twenties, these movies with Milla Jovovich were a BIG deal. Most of us had a really big crush on her :D She is a legendary action star of this era, even if her movies aren't "epic". They are entertaining and she is a hot warrior-girl, like Kate Beckinsale in the Underworld movies.
Yep, I can attest to that. I just recently turned 31, and I’ve long found Milla Jovovich hot as hell. She radiates a ton of natural badass energy, too, which adds to her appeal. My crush on Jovovich started with the first two Resident Evil movies-especially the second one. It wasn’t until many years later that I finally picked up a working copy of the third RE movie (first copy I tried to watch didn’t work), but I currently haven’t watched the series beyond that. I have seen some other movies starring her, though. I want to say one was called Ultraviolet or something like that. Pretty cool from what little I remember. Anyone know if she’s still acting? I haven’t seen or heard anything in a long time, but I also don’t really follow stuff like that, and I’ve almost completely abandoned social media. I’m pretty sure she’s no older than mid-40’s now, so it’s not like she’s too old. Most of the [relatively few] actors and actresses I actually still give a damn about are around that age, in fact.
I saw them all and honestly, aside from this first one, I only liked 3. I see a lot of "they may not be great films but they're entertaining" in these comments, and I have to disagree. I love action flicks and my standards aren't that high, but they are higher than that. Some of the later films are just garbage.
I didn't play the games, but i enjoyed all of the movies. This is one of the best examples of husband - wife / director - actress collaborations and that's what helps make this series great.❤🎉

Hello Miss Biss!😊 I like your top, Biss. It has a fashion forward cut to it. "Alice" is a new character introduced to Resident Evil here. I think the character you were thinking of from the game may be "Jill Valentine". I believe this film has the biggest budget of the Resident Evil films. My little brother had the first game, and I played it many years ago. I remember I beat it first time playing. The next film does involve the police station. It introduces a new screen character, too. You should check out the next one.😉 Our star here Alice is Milla Jovovich, a Ukrainian model turned actress. Great reactions to your first Resident Evil film, MB!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
17:00 "This is the reason _this_ generation is gonna survive the zombie apocalypse. We learn." Well, I mean, that's why zombie-apocalypse movies are always so _disastrous_ in the very beginning. They begin with a zombie plague unleashed on a world that has no _concept_ of zombies. There are only two ways to kill a zombie. Either you sever the head or you destroy the _brain._ But it takes this world that has never _encountered_ the concept a while to figure that out. That's the key, though. Once we know how zombies are killed, we know how to _fight_ them, and that's the point, consistently, in zombie-apocalypse movies, when the tide turns.
I think the second one 'Apocalypse' is the best one, and the one that is the most like one of the games. I would recommend that, after that it's up to you if you wanna see the rest, but the second is quite good.
Even though the movie series has little to do with the games, I still love these movies The latest film in the Resident Evil series, Welcome to Raccoon City, has some things in common with the first and second games. However, they made Leon a wimp.
These movies are based from the games but they are their own adaptations. The fallow a similar story but a way different path. The characters you know from the games won't show up until way later in the franchise.
Another great reaction Biss. So for me, the first four movies are definitely a lot of fun. My suggestion is once you watch 2010’s Afterlife, skip the fifth and sixth movies and jump into 2021’s Welcome To Raccoon City as that one is much closer to the first and second games
What most people dont know is that Milla Jovovich is one of the best paid actresses in the world - all based on her repeated appearances in Resident Evil movies (which are, lets face it, crap).
Milla Jovovich plays a character named Alice, who was not in the games. It was an original character just for the movies. Characters from the games do show up in the sequels. Yes, that was Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty in the Fast & Furious movies. Hoping you continue with the series but be warned, it kind of goes off the rails after the third one.
the live action movies follow a similar story but its own path with Allice (Milla Jovovich) as the main character. If you Want resident evil movies that follow the main Timeline arc of the games then i can recommend the ones made by CapCom, RE Degeneration, RE Damnation, RE Vendetta, and RE Dead Island. I hope that helps :)
The series is ok if you turn your brain off a bit and would be nice to see you check out the rest and meet more game characters, there are also some decent animated movies of resident evil, take care

Thanks
@@BissFlix ur welcome n I love ❤️ all ur movie reactions n ur pretty buddy
You will never know how hard it is to take yourself out until you try it for real. It's not as easy as you think.
Yeah probably
Just do them all, great video
Ok I’ll keep that in mind, we shall see how it goes
Yes, continue with the whole series!!!! 🤩👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I think the second one 'Apocalypse' is the best one, and the one that is the most like one of the games. I would recommend that, after that it's up to you if you wanna see the rest, but the second is quite good.
Even though the movie series has little to do with the games, I still love these movies
The latest film in the Resident Evil series, Welcome to Raccoon City, has some things in common with the first and second games. However, they made Leon a wimp.
It is interesting that gaming brain keeps track of codes, numbers and who is in which state.
Thanks for watching
I love this movie and the second one. Sure they aren't all gems. But they are damn fun. And the soundtrack was good.
Thank youuu, I’ll write that suggestion down
I grew up playing this game. Avoided it at night. Cause it was scary and give me nightmares.
Never played the game but loved the films...
What most people dont know is that Milla Jovovich is one of the best paid actresses in the world - all based on her repeated appearances in Resident Evil movies (which are, lets face it, crap).
Chris Redfield vs Leon S. Kennedy. Who'll win(your opinion)?
Madalena she is a Walkyrie in Thor movie 😎🫶👍
"So what are we? Some kind of Evil Resident?"
Thanks for watching
This film has more to do with "Alice in wonderland" than with RESIDENT EVIL
Milla Jovovich plays a character named Alice, who was not in the games. It was an original character just for the movies. Characters from the games do show up in the sequels. Yes, that was Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty in the Fast & Furious movies. Hoping you continue with the series but be warned, it kind of goes off the rails after the third one.
I got all 6 on dvd and the first remake on dvd
9:30 comment good call.-Ernie Moore Jr.
the live action movies follow a similar story but its own path with Allice (Milla Jovovich) as the main character.
The Hollywood hit movie that showed the world that science is the problem and armed Ukrainian supermodels is the solution.
Love the hair! :)
Thank you
