One of my absolute favourite of theirs. Especially the live performance! Matt just owns that stage and they all have so much fun. Scott is impressive covering the bass, Mitch and Kirstie become a whole brass band and Kevin is just going off! Fun fact, the person in the grinch costume is Ben. Also known as their videoagrapher and.... the father of Kirstins baby. Always gives me an extra giggle that Kirstie and her pseudo-brothers are wagging their fingers towards him. Matt is a pure entertainer. He really comes alive on stage. I think after Scott, Matt might actually be the one doing the most talking in between sets and crowd interactions and such. His dad is a gospel pastor so he's been on stage since like age 5, leading church singing and such. He's very comfortable on stage and a very engaging entertainer.
Last year (Christmas 2021) their holiday album (now nominated for a Grammy (#4)) was titled "Evergreen" as was their Nov/Dec holiday tour in the U.S.A. the "Evergreen Experience".
Evergreen was the name of their last Christmas album, and i think its the best one, ever. This ius one of my favorites, but also, I Saw Three Ships, Over the River, and Little Saint Nick, are all just loverly. Please, investigate more! (And I agree, this one with Matt gives him some needed attention. He deserves a little more respect and a few more leading songs.
Love Matt! He owned this 100%. This was the perfect song for him as he's such a joyful, playful character. The official video is brilliant for this, too. Matt's expressions are priceless in it. He's another one who could do Broadway without missing a beat. Their concerts post lockdown are really awesome. They were always fabulous, but I think they all upped their game during isolation and came back with extra pizazz. I really can't wait to see them next year 😍😍😍 This was an unexpected treat as I thought you'd uploaded all the Xmas PTX stuff already! I'm off to get the fresh stuff from the shops and then it's cleaning and cooking all day before a buffet tea and the traditional rewatch of Home Alone with little dude. Busy and fun day! Merry Christmas, gentlemen! 🎄 🎅 🧑🎄
Their winter concert last year was called "The Evergreen Experience". The song "Evergreen", an original, was on the album. Matt also has the lead in the song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" on their new "Holidays Around the World" album. Check out the music for that. He's even better in this one, I think. Happy Christmas!!!!
So Matt kills the solo, which means Scott is holding down the bass. Solid performance. And without Mitch and Kirstie, the jazz feeling would fall flat. And Kevin always deserves Kudos. 👏 Theatrical performance, authentic reaction.
The play acting between Matt and Grinch was restricted to on stage only due to COVID. In a previous tour the Grinch stole a wrapped present and ran into the audience. Matt followed - still singing - and had a chase with Grinch.
I think the tour was just called Evergreen and the Evergreen experience was the name of their stream version you could buy and watch. But yes, this was a professionally filmed christmas tour date. So not a stage show, just the most theatrical segment in their christmas show. They have loads of families and all ages going to their christmas shows so this is a fitting number (and a favourite of mine)
Saw this a week ago and grinned through the whole thing! I know you guys like live performances best and this one time I heartily agree! Rumor has it that Grinch is Kirstie's significant other.
Yes, it's Ben. I love how their partners are involved with the group. As clichéd as it sounds, they really are a family, and that's one of the things I love most about them, and part of why they're so successful I think. You can't fake bonds like that ❤ Have a lovely Christmas, Lynn!
First time watching this one.. My twins are 44 years old now so I thought my Grinch days were over but you two sucked me in.😃 Now I am so glad you did.😊🤗 I have been following PTX for years can't believe I skipped over this one. Thanks again guys. Happy Holidays. Peace, love and blessings to all.🤗🤗🤗
Enjoyed your reaction…would love you to see their performance from the evergreen experience of their version of Sister Acts Joyful Joyful….it’s quite amazing on several different aspects.😊
BP1, your Santas are floating in midair on your sweater.. Check them out! 😂 thanks for doing more ptx! Evergreen is the name of the 10th ptx album. It's up for a Grammy this year too.
I know you probably won't react but if you could at least be kind enough to react to just released cover of WHITE CHRISTMAS by ANGELICA HALE 15yrs old I'll going to try sending link in a follow up request
Hi both Pentatonix again, fantastic, I think this was Matt’s first solo for the group. Great isn’t it? I love all Pentatonix’s work, so this is a brilliant upload. I forget, have you reviewed ‘Thank You’ a brilliant Christmas song Scott wrote with his partner at the end 2020. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They haven't done 'Thank You' . I'll be sure to pester them for it next year, along with 'O Come all ye Faithful' 😉 Far too many Xmas PTX gems for the guys to do in one month, they'd need two or three videos a day to make a decent dent 🤣🤣🤣 Hope you have a fab Christmas, Elaine!

@jenell56 OMG that's the best Christmas song ever, and I hadn't seen it before! ❤ Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎅 🧑🎄 🎄 🎁
You should see a few live streams of Matt and Kevin owning the stage. Much respect to Matt and his vast talent.
It’s so nice to see Matt shine, he’s absolutely amazing. This is such a great performance by them.

As great as this song is live you really should see the official video as well...too cute!

Thanks again for a PTX reaction! PTX IS Christmas for me! I love every single song with their twists!

*LOVE* these guys!
And your reactions!
Too much fun!
Safe and happy holidays!
The musical intro to this song always gives me a stalking "Pink Panther" feel...except with a green Grinch...I just can't reconcile the two!
Merry Christmas ❤️❤️
Do yourself a huge favor and listen to the Small Town Titans to their version of you're a mean one Mr. grinch their official video it is unbelievable!
