I love seeing someone who started to like her after ASIB react to the “We love her again” headlines. So ironic and shows how good she is at psychology of the masses
He killed her to get money from the paparazzi, but she comes back to obsessively dote on him like the paparazzi do, but then kills him for revenge. So she’s saying, sarcastically, “I’m your biggest fan, I’ll follow you until you love me, Papa-Paparazzi.” Because obviously the paparazzi aren’t anyones biggest fan, they’re just in it for the money. She’s following him everywhere, flipping the tables on him, becoming his biggest fan, but is only obsessed with exacting revenge and killing him. “I won’t stop until that boy is mine.”
I'm sure this has been brought up somewhere but I feel like it's worth mentioning that The Fame is supposed to heavily criticize celebrity culture, which is why it has such a heavy pop sound. Gaga got her start as a songwriter for pop artists like The Pussycat Dolls. As she was experiencing the pop music industry for the first time she felt there was a lot it could offer but also a lot of danger it had. Paparazzi is about some of the negative aspects. Some people think she only did The Fame to get put on the map, but I think it was Gaga's genuine interpretation of the music world, and she's never turned her back on it or changed her story.
There was also an entire song dedicated to saying 'Fuck you' to her previous label. She was signed to Island Def Jam and dropped only after a few months. It's also the basis of the music video for Marry the Night. Of course Gaga went on to become the top name around, constantly resurging in popularity when contemporaries like Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani have largely disappeared from the music industry. Island Def Jam fucked up big time.
Check out her cover performance of Sonny & Cher’s “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” from her Cheek to Cheek era with Tony Bennett. Incredible showcase of her raw vocal talent while she stuns in a red jumpsuit and one of Cher’s actual wigs. Also, some of her more mature albums like Born This Way, ARTPOP, and Joanne feature more than just simple pop, and she displays an incredible range of sounds.
She gives us pop because it’s what we want. But when she performs her pop songs live a lot of times it starts with a stripped down piano version where you can hear her range and see her musical talent. You should do some reaction videos to her live performances. Dance in the dark Britt awards is good

U might think it's just simple stuff..but when u actually read the lyrics and metaphors, as well as the melodies are complex for one person to write and compose. As well as directing and creating her own visuals, it's a complex look and sound

Marilyn Manson is another one, and she reminds me of a female version of him. She’s an extremely accomplished and talented musician. I think her first two albums were the best. I imagine writing simple pop songs was a career choice which made her rich, so as to allow her to create the art she wishes to now. It couldn’t have been too hard for someone of her caliber to write pop songs. Bad Romance is probably my favorite song by her, and the video is wild!

Funny you say you're surprised she did pop and not more piano stuff. She tried doing that originally but no record label would pick her up. They said she wasn't edgy enough with just a voice and a piano. So she dyed her hair blond, wrote some crazy lyrics, wore provocative clothes, and the rest is history.
For someone who claims to prefer the more complex stuff from a star is born, it's kind of funny that you're not even trying to look beyond the surface of this music and video.
Pop music is specifically designed to be universal and accessible to the broadest audience possible. I don’t think I’m only taking the songs at face value I’m taking what they give me and most of them are pretty straight forward by design. That doesn’t mean pop can’t have depth or that Gaga doesn’t have depth (I think she does), I just know most of the time they want u to get the message so they’re communicated simply for the lowest common denominator (usually, there are exceptions of course). Great reaction, but I strongly recommend you review Gaga's Radio One acoustic piano version of this song (she's wearing a pirate hat in the thumbnail). It's completely different, and is the song that made me singlehandedly fall in love with Gaga. It's one of her best performances. Most importantly, it's where you can see that even her "simple pop music" is actually quite brilliant. Paparazzi is a piano ballad first, dressed up as a pop song. SuperJersh she has some REALLY amazing performances, try getting into her jazz stuff live as well! I swear to god there isn’t one thing this woman can’t do
I think that the song is about a Toxic kind of relationship. I think that the lyrics allude to the celebrity doing things for the paparazzi to notice her, or just wanting to be noticed and adored by someone like a Paparazzi over a Celebrity, and then the paparazzi is super stalky and kind of bad for the safety of the person, so it's like a circle, she still needs the attention even though it´s bad for her. And the video I think demonstrates that. The toxic relationship between her and a man that abuses her (be that psychologically or phisically in this case). The girls that are shown dead in the whole clip are the service that Lady Gaga killed because they were sleeping with her man, and also to get attention from her man or the paparazzi, in a very toxic and disturbing way. I think that´s what the song and video are all about.
She's an outstanding acrtess too! You should watch American Horror Story: Hotel. She plays a vampire countess and it's everything. She gives you all the art and aesthetic that is Lady Gaga and mashes it with the mystique of the character she plays.
And to comment on how this song is so simple in comparison, listen to the whole Born This Way album. Such good pop songs, and really good production and more poetic lyrics.
Something to take into serious consideration, is that the Gaga you see in this music video is not the same Gaga you see today. She has grown incredibly as an artist over the years.
Please React to lady Gaga videos: 1.- Born this way video music 2.- Till it happens to you 3. G.U.Y artpop film 4.- Million Reasons (my favorite song from Joanne album) Watch her performance 5.- Paparazzi VMAs 2009
Just because a song is a ballad does not make it more 'complicated' or special. Many of Gaga's more dance-pop songs are more 'complicated' lyrically/sonically than much of ASIB's more 'normal pop'. A song like "I'll never love again", though beautiful and touching, is very simple sonically and lyrically. While most of Gaga's dance-pop songs have different conceptual layers, the stuff on ASIB is much more straight-forward. And simplicity isn't bad! Simplicity makes a song very good actually, especially if it's executed very well (see Adele's music for example). I'll give you that the vocals on Gaga's dance-pop songs are much less than her potential, though.
Excuse me no. I never said simple is bad and I talk about that in the video that releases in 2 hours :) and I mean from a musical perspective pop music is typically easier to play than metal
If you like A Star Is Born you'll probably like her Joanne album (2016) and a song she did for sexual assault victims called "Til It Happens To You" (2015).
She is with an abusive boyfriend (poor her) but she was only with him for the fame. When fame runs out she ends his boyfriend and enjoys all the spotlight again. This song is from ‘The Fame’ where everything is done for the fame. The next album is ‘The fame monster’ where she talks about the dark side of it or what made to her
The song is not about paparazzi. It’s about fame and media. How celebrities do anything for fame(kill to gain a moment of attention); how media brutally objectifies celebrities(Taking pictures over her half dead body.) Just pay attention to the camera, and notice how she behave like a celebrity while being escorted out by the police. This video and song shows her resolve to gain fame by any measure, including being that bloody piece of meat for the media, or kill. That’s why the album is called the fame. The fame is the purpose of that era. That’s why she does simple pop song. Simple pop song is where the money at. She was trying for years to be famous by just being a good and normal, hoping people discover her talent. That didn’t happen.

Marilyn Manson "Long hard road out of hell" video
She's an outstanding acrtess too! You should watch American Horror Story: Hotel. She plays a vampire countess and it's everything. She gives you all the art and aesthetic that is Lady Gaga and mashes it with the mystique of the character she plays.
Please please watch do a reaction to her 2009 VMA performance!! Love your videos!
You are so fucking smart!!! I love it!! Kiss from Brazil 🇧🇷!! I’m loving your videos!!’
This is her 4th video. Context
Please
React to lady Gaga videos:
1.- Born this way video music
2.- Till it happens to you

If you liked A Star Is Born soundtrack then I would check out the You and I video as well as her jazz album with Tony Bennett
There's a long going rumor that she is allergic to cherries, she's used cherries and cherry pie in a lot of her earlier songs
The cherry pie reference is because she is alergic to the cherry
There is absolutely no way that you have not heard this song ever other than those lyrics this song was Poppin
And yet, here we are existing in the reality where that is true 😜
So TELEPHONE is the continuation of PAPARAZZI? :O
I just can't believe it... omg
You should react to her live performances, specially the piano ones. You’d love those!!
You should react to her VMA 2009 performance of this... show stopping. It’d be neat to see your reaction
Man reacts to music - which usually features instrumental differences in the left and right audio channel - with ONE earbud in, jezus.
i'm deaf in my right ear but get both channels in the earbud, thanks for being assumptive! :)
@@SuperJersh You are very welcome, my good sir.
Telephone next!
I always thought the song was about celebrities obsessing over the paparazzi, because once the following is over, their career is also over.
OMG bjhcdbhcnbsedh her swedish pronounciation is the best thing ever
It's about obsessive love
shes is talking about Fame, that’s the name of the album
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett to record jazz album
React to Lady Gaga - Bang Bang (my baby shot me down)
Why? She was so popular and controversial back then and so happy shes back with stupid love!
Hey can you start reacting to performances!? You should see her perform this at the 2009 VMAS!
React to Gaga and Tony Bennett collaborations. Lady Is a Tramp, Everytime we say goodbye or Lush Life
The cherry 🍒 pie lyric is fun because she’s allergic to cherry’s
You should listen to her Art Pop album, that was years before its time. Still is.
Do Gaga live performances
You Under the stone guy , never heard all thesesongs damn
React to Marry the Night by Lady Gaga. It is her longest music video at 11-13 minutes.
