Thanks, I’ve been looking for a video like this. Isn’t there a way to get the map onto the TFT so you can keep your phone in your pocket instead of the handlebars?

Excellent tutorial. I used the app for a while but ultimately decided to go with the garmin zumo xt. That being said, the app is not as bad as some say.

I have used the app on my Street Glide, but not really on my Pan Am. Thanks for making this video, good way to plan a ride.
Side note: I ride from Fort Worth and wiggle my way on the Farm to Market roads to Forestburg and stop a Forestburg Country Store for a burger. Although The Burg is pretty good too in Forestburg. From there up into St Jo and into Oklahoma on the FM677 bridge. Head over to Lake Murphy and back into Texas via Hwy 377. Great ride with lots of curves and have yet to do this on my Pan Am, but looking to ride this soon.

Thanks for this video. So i was trying to do a map i downloaded to the HD app. I'm on a Pan America. So at the beginning i did notice the lower right corner of my display having next route info which was great. I must have not understood the direction vs the actual intersection and it took me to a main route which i was trying to avoid(i wanted gravel stuff). when i shut my bike off for gas i think i restarted to ride on my phone but obviously was far from the original starting point in the gpx file. but it didn't display directions in the lower right corner again. is there a certain order/sequence to insuring this displaying info?

Hi fella thanks for that. Have you noticed with the offline maps, the nav keeps ups? I kept finding previously that the route either didn't follow me or just went into squares as you said. I've never tried offline maps so will give that ago. Until now I'd given up on it. Any idea if there is any issues with the Bluetooth link that causes any of these issues? Cheers 👍

The link is slow. But offline maps helps a lot.

Thanks for this vid, I do appreciate you taking the time to demo how to plan a route, but the only connection to using this navigation method with the Pan American was when you mentioned not needing to 'send the route to bike' :-)
I do like the H-D ride planner, but I'm still on the fence when it comes to connecting and using it on the Pan Am, in the same vane, I've tried a number of configurations for connecting a headset and my phone to the Infotainment panel to take advantage of the intended integration (too much to explain in a comment, but I'm guessing others that see this will be able to relate).
Might be nice if you can update or create a 2nd Vid to show the scenarios once on the road and use the H-D connectivity to do things like change route, delete way-points, etc, just simple crap that often happens on a ride.
    Thx again.

So, does this automatically transfer the map and routing information to the display on the PAS?

I just bought my pan america, and I ride everyday. I must say I'm not a fan of the map, I don't use it at all. I find it a hassle. Maybe I'll make more use of it in the future when I do some trips.

My biggest complaint is that the map flip flops as I am riding down the road. North/South, North/South, who can read a map like that while riding a motorcycle? I bought a phone holder and found that the map corrects itself if I open the app when it acts up. Still annoying as hell.

2022 Pan America. So I tried the app. initially I couldn't figure out how to get a "map" up on the TFT display so I wasn't very happy. Now that I see I can get the map represented I am ecstatic. The app eats up my iphone battery so that one should be easy to resolve. GPS is running and Happy !
