Hi terry kondor will not grow in compost with the white bits in . Hope I have a good one for molvern
My father has given up his space he grows in so that will be ideal to grow them in proper soil that they are used to. Thank you for the tubers you gave me at Malvern and for the opportunity to grow them. Long beans are coming, but this year a little bit late.

I have watched a few Kondor Potato reveals this year and no one seems to have had much success.
Apart from that I hope to bump into you at Malvern, this will be my first time there.
Apparently everyone is meeting up in foleys for a pint or so.

I will be there on Saturday and Sunday and driving so no cider for me or maybe a small on in the morning......🤣🍺 Will be nice to see you Rob. Growing them in compost seems to be the issue so just good old soil next season, see pinned comment from the giant grower who gave me the seeds at Malvern last year.

It does look like that they need growing in the ground in soil without compost so it looks like I will be growing up at my father's Allotment next season.

Not a bad harvest of eating Kondors Terry. Not a good year for them as you say. I've just planted the last of the 2021 Kondor seed to grow over Winter. If the Malvern rules didn't state "2022 produce" I would have entered one of them LOL

Hi Terry great video, kondors don't seem to be doing great for anyone this year, I was pulling out my corn stalks today had a volunteer potato onley had one in there some how and it is bright purple no idea where it came from I've never planted any here going to save it for next year
Sometimes it's best just to chuck them in the ground and let them get on with it for a better harvest........🤣. The purple ones are that colour all the way through and a nice addition to any plate Duncan.

Now, if you have super soil, why do you need cover crop? I was to believe that super soil had everything in it that you need?

The cover crop will protect the soil from the weather and hold the nutrients and looks pleasing to the eye. Super soil will be added to most beds in the spring.

as you know, my " kondor " potatoes were rubbish, but i'm going to have another go next year. one in a 35 litre pot and one as indeterminate in stacked pots. ( using potato fertilizer only ).........................brian

I don’t think Kondor likes growing in buckets coz I’ve had bigger ones in the ground largest since far is 1lb , but overall I’m very disappointed considering the money I spent on them.
Going to try growing them in the ground next season at my father's Allotment, only time will tell.
