At a standstill, the jaguar is limited to 4k rpm which 3k from its redline. So imagine how badly it would destroy your ears if you removed that limiter

Do good with maintenance, watch for leaks from the coolant pipes and diff, and clean your injectors - they're surprisingly sturdy for a performance car. Yeah, maintenance is expensive if you go through a dealership, but that's literally all European luxury cars.

To be completely fair to both the V6 and V8, I can't really call either better than the other, each one sounds absolutely glorious in different ways. The V6 screams and sings, but the V8 growls with an aggression that begs you for more... I've loved the ones I've driven and my next home will be a house - I'll have one then and it's a hard choice as to which I'll buy...

5 years. The maintenance cost has been low, as i have less than 35K miles on it. Common issues are o2 sensor failure, which are covered by the extended factory warranty.
One of my best friends bought one of these and oh man, the drive we had with it from Tennessee back to Michigan was insane. We both were ready if one of us got pulled over 😂

The worst part about F-types is their suspension for long-term owners. It's expensive to replace, and most need it by the mileage they're selling at. Pretty much everything else on these pre-turbo F-types are commonly available, and affordable to get; mind you, in the context of owning a luxury car in its price range.
35-45k now. i had one i want another. Got to be careful with 2015 model year tho, there is a reason they redesigned the hood for 2016. Water gets thru the vents and fuses injectors to the block or something to that effect. Still, only the 2015 and 2016 have the pops and crackles tune. Newer ones do not have the "2 machine guns" out back egg sauce
If you are in a budget looking for one of these, get one with red calipers instead of yellow😂 you don't want to have a heart attack when you see how much it cost to change carbon ceramics

I followed an F type on my way home from work had to switch my radio off and put the windows down to listen to the exhaust sounded as good as it looks 👌

Me too, but I had an awesome time with this car. It seemed well built and it had a German transmission so as long as you keep the motor maintained I don’t see why it should be any worse than a bmw or Mercedes. I have a full video of it in the channel if you want to see a more in depth review!
They get a bad wrap but all the videos I watched if you are aware of the things that can go wrong, preventive maintenance goes a long ways keeping them on the road. Most of the issues came in the early years 2014, 15. For instance rain leaking through the hood vents because of the placement more to the center could rust up the injectors making them difficult to remove. Early cars had sticky to the feel soft buttons. The mandatory services were ridiculously expensive just basically changing the fluids. There's none of that valve readjustment like some of the vintage cars had. I see early cars with over a 100,000 miles on the odometer and that should tell you they are dependable.

It drops due to reputation of not being reliable. But they are actually very reliable... someone else's loss is plenty of peoples gain. Just don't expect to maintain it like a Honda or Toyota. All of these types of cars takes money to maintain. Problem is too many people buy these cars second hand... then lose their minds with 1 repair bill.

I own a 2014 XKR. Have not had a problem with it at all. Owned it since 2020 and has 78k miles on it. Love it. Probably gonna add an F-Type R to the collection. They are pretty reliable. Just have the bad rep from the older cars

Lower milage ones can be anywhere from $28k-$40k and they also sound incredible as well

This has been my plan for a bit.... though undecided if i want the 2016 for the AWD or the 2017 for the SVR.
Drove one of those things around 2018 while i was doing valet in NYC, just stepping on gas and noise that thing male was incredible to drive.
