i still have my samsung galaxy tab 3, even if the battery is very bad due to age. other that the battery, everything else is pretty nice. i got it from my dad when i was little for playing games. I remember playing all games of Angry Birds, and Mario-style games, Shadow Fight 2, and all that. I also remember taking pics of stuff from it with its super bad camera quality which i loved [i was obsessed with the negative values filter], and also walked down long streets to bring it to my friend's house to play with it. flash games also existed, so we played 2P games on a laptop which my friend owned with windows 7 or smth from a website. it was simple. and nice. i want flash games to be trending again with wacky designs and ideas resonating styles dominating 2000-14.
i was 10 years old when my dad got a brand mew computer with windows vista in 2007 it felt so futuristic compared to the big boxy one we had at my mom's. whenever i would visit him i would write stories in word and explore the huge amount of clip art available lol
nah you're probably right, FA was a corpo style but it's being recontextualized. People are saying they wish the aesthetic had been realized instead of just presented as a hopeful future by people who had no intention of actually trying. I'm not sure what Corporate Memphis is promising other than people with non-representational skin tones and little heads jumping around and waving flags.
Windows Vista/7, core 2 duo cpu's, flash games, flip phones, mp3/mp4, amazement over cgi in movies, not spending more than 2 daily hours on your phone, catchy hit songs, jelly bracelets.
It's fascinating how we're at a point where we can look back to this mid-to-late 2000s time period with nostalgia and can pinpoint a specific aesthetic to it. Although, I remember initially hating the transition into these aesthetics having grown up in the 90s. It was too clean and shiny (looking at you, Windows Vista, Apple and Wii-era video games) and I started missing the eclectic weirdness that came before, especially in the gaming world (GameCube, my beloved weirdo). But now I can be at peace with it and I'm sure today's popular aesthetics will receive a similar treatment in a decade or two.
I was surprised when I compared the 2000s and 1950s and found many similarities in these decades. Both of these decades have tried to instill optimism and faith in a bright future in citizens. Look at the advertising posters and you will see that they depict contented and happy people. Look at the interior and design of these two decades, they are both made in a futuristic way: Futuristic furniture, computers, phones from the late 90s and 2000s; and futuristic cars, furniture, household appliances, buildings from the 1950s. Both decades had their own idea of the "energy of a bright future": In the 1950s it was nuclear energy, and in the 2000s it was ecological hydrogen. Both of these decades were remembered for their high economic stability and glamorous fashion. In both decades, there were three-dimensional logos of all objects and things ranging from advertising labels to corporate logos. In both decades, they dreamed that the future was about to come, it only remained to wait a little bit. And then compare how already in the 1960s and 2010s all these dreams of the future were destroyed due to crises and cultural explosions. After that, you start to believe in the cyclical nature of history and events.
im sorry bit this is such a dumb take, the 1950s was the invention of the suburban experiment, the worst urban planning practice ever conceived, also the 1960s was a cultural revolution that has far more in common with the freedom of expression of the 2000s than the oppression of the 50s, also architecture never stopped looking futuristic or trying to, without the 60s and 70s the 2000s as you know it would never have existed, those decades were incredibly important for pro-enviroment people, not to mention 1960s-70s earthy natural colored interior design and architecture
the wii u was really late to the party but it feels so surreal because it still has a heavy frutiger aero theme to it and it's like the future we could of had instead of over simplification

probably a number of reasons, but one I can think of is the pressure to run smoothly on underpowered mobile devices, and ease of making one design work on different platforms and screen sizes.

I love being nostalgic for eras I didn't experience in first hand. Sure, I played wii games when it was still popular, but damn, I was so little. I still play with my 3ds to this day thanks to the phantom nostalgia!
Huh. Phantom nostalgia-- that's an interesting way to phrase it! I've felt something similar, I believe. Especially when it comes to 2009-2011 youtube. I technically *was* here, but like... barely, yknow? xD
in times we live in now, where everything is flat and minimal, we as humans feel nothing. It has escalated to the point where it is more enjoyable when things look older and outdated, because we are all tired of nothing. Every facet of our lives has been drained of its personality and character; nothing is special anymore. But that gives us every reason to move our society closer to that special-ness, with the music we create, the art we paint, and the world we build. It's all in your hands, you just have to want it enough; and that, is what makes YOU special. YOU can change everything!
this philosophy seems harmful, it still seems hellbent on forgetting the creative expression of the 70s-2000s and replacing it with whats new, what millenials and gen x think is outdated will be irrelevant in 20 years, hell outdated architecture like 1970s shed contemporaries or 1940s art deco office buildings are well liked.
I never knew how to search up this type of music but I’ve found it! It’s nostalgic and calming, brings me back somehow, even though I don’t know all the songs.

This really is one of my favorite Frutiger Aero mixes, it's full of old music that really captures the era perfectly and it all flows perfectly together, there are no new music arrangements, at least none that I can see, and everytime it gets to Over the Horizon I just get hit hard and I start crying, it makes me feel so young. Thank you for making this frutiger aero the first one I ever found and the one I always come back to listen.
Im not even joking some kids who were born in the early 2010s also actually get nostalgia because this kind of style only died down in 2014. This shows that how much Aero style impacted the world :D
i feel like the reason why we all collectively love this type of vibe is bc it reminds us of our childhood, where we had no recollection of the past or future and just lived in the present moment. our mind associates that with peace. not a single worry or bad thought. personally it reminds me of when i used to wake up early on sunday mornings just to play wii with my dad. life was so simple. i wanna go back to that.
I use this mix for a small VR game I made to relax! It’s absolutely perfect for what I use it for! I’ve probably listened to this whole thing like 10 times!
Even though I was pretty young in the 2000s, there just something so nostalgic about it. Everything looked how this music sounds if that makes sense. It was a lot better back then, this music just makes you feel like everything might just be alright, it reminds you of simpler times that’s why.
when i was young i used to have dreams about this kind of thing; being in a brightly coloured world with ultra surrealistic logic (fish swimming in the air) and just being at complete bliss i dont know if it was just me who had those kinda dreams but its wicked i can still remember them now

I have some friends who like to play around with computers a lot since they were little. I sometimes regret not venturing far into the internet like they did and I think mostly reason why was of "frutiger aero" because its manufactured. Back then it was the equivalent of the modern day faux-community that corporation use nowadays. It was the go-to for internet stuff and me being a toddler didn't know about "subscribing" or "comments" or any other website other than youtube or cut the rope. The ladder of which was the only thing I used the family pc for when it was switched to windows 8 and if you were around for the time you know how terrible it was to navigate. Nowadays I see frutiger aero as my version of the mid 2000's and early 2010's.

My first phone was a Samsung S3 Mini, i feel ya
I used to play Minecraft PE 7.0 on LAN with that! Brought back memories for me too when you needed to use a nether reactor to basically simulate the nether for you back then.
i still have my samsung galaxy tab 3, even if the battery is very bad due to age. other that the battery, everything else is pretty nice. i got it from my dad when i was little for playing games.
We have the power to make the future as clean and optimistic as you see in your dreams. It will just take some time.❤
:0
that's the thing about the future, it's always a day away.
i was 10 years old when my dad got a brand mew computer with windows vista in 2007 it felt so futuristic compared to the big boxy one we had at my mom's. whenever i would visit him i would write stories in word and explore the huge amount of clip art available lol
My dad used to do the same thing with me when he used to visit!
You might not believe it now, but in 15 years I promise that many people will be waxing nostalgic over a Corporate Memphis playlist.
You're probably right
How will that even sound?
Gross
nah you're probably right, FA was a corpo style but it's being recontextualized. People are saying they wish the aesthetic had been realized instead of just presented as a hopeful future by people who had no intention of actually trying. I'm not sure what Corporate Memphis is promising other than people with non-representational skin tones and little heads jumping around and waving flags.
Probably gen alpha
"Economic stability" in the 2000s?
im sorry bit this is such a dumb take, the 1950s was the invention of the suburban experiment, the worst urban planning practice ever conceived, also the 1960s was a cultural revolution that has far more in common with the freedom of expression of the 2000s than the oppression of the 50s, also architecture never stopped looking futuristic or trying to, without the 60s and 70s the 2000s as you know it would never have existed, those decades were incredibly important for pro-enviroment people, not to mention 1960s-70s earthy natural colored interior design and architecture
the wii u was really late to the party but it feels so surreal because it still has a heavy frutiger aero theme to it and it's like the future we could of had instead of over simplification
I remember this era, hope it comes back one day
First one brings me right back to 2007. I'd give anything to go back man :(
The Wii, Dsi, 3DS and Wii U send me back :(( such great times
i love how lease just fits in any frutiger aero playlist. it doesnt feel overused for me, its like the perfect theme for this aesthetic (imo)
this is late-2000s/early-2010s but still epic playlist
Its so important for me to say how well crafted this playlist is. When the feeding frenzy theme came on I don't think I've switched tabs so fast to see what the familiar tune was. The memory of sitting in front of my xbox 360 playing that game several times instantly appeared in my head. You've hit the nail on the head with this playlist. I will be coming back here!
100%! I wasn't expecting Over the Horizon to be on here, as well as Mario Party 9's tune. This uploader *knows* the frutiger aero era, symbolized through the music of its time.
2000-2014: Smells like fresh air and your favourite fabric softener. Health is about the right diet and excersise
2016-now: Smells like a hospital and hand sanitizer. Health is about pills and surgery.
i was just eating some food downstairs then went up to my room with this playing in the background and then i heard the xbox 360 avatar creator soundtrack and man its like millions of memories just flooded. thank you for this man
why do devices now never have ambient menu themes anymore
probably a number of reasons, but one I can think of is the pressure to run smoothly on underpowered mobile devices, and ease of making one design work on different platforms and screen sizes.
ps5 does
Everything has gone so static and monotone unfortunately. Aside from a few UI's it's just blandness
For those who are curious and just joining the "Aero" music through random YT recommendations, this video still image and the music is based off of a time between 2004-2014. Frutiger Aero which is a design style or internet aesthetic for UI/UX that was popularized through Windows Vista and Windows 7 and its personalization feature called "Windows Aero" which allowed opaque window title bars, Windows flip 3d when you Windows-Key + tab, window snapping, Aero peeking the desktop, and many many more features as Windows 7 released and Windows 8 came on.

Up
I miss the glory days of this aesthetic, I was still quite young but the vibes are clearer then ever
54:43 The moment this started playing, I imediatly recognised from my shcool days, it was my alarm that played on my samsung J5 metal (that died after I dropped it in a pool lol), it's crazy how, after just 3 years, that bad feeling that it caused in my past sleepy me at 5 a.m. already turned into a good memory of all these most simple days when i saw all of my friends, 5 days per week
I love frutiger aero songs playlist bc I can do my homework while I listen it.
How many tears land on each paper? (Estimate)
@@TheSmokeinator20 when it’s maths homework (i don’t understand shit)
Yeah like I listen to femtanyl and speedcore but it's a death wish to try to make homework while listening to that frutiger aero doesn't feel numb and allows me to concentrate
okay, this got to be the best and most accurate frutiger aero playlist I've heard so far. thank you for making this!
Thanks! None of the other playlists on UA-cam hit the spot for me so I decided to make my own :)
Yes being a 2000s kid was definitely worth it computers were colorful and everything greener less pollution and disease 2024 sucks let's go back to the 2000s.
So it's easier to find for any who want it, the song at 22:53 is the "Character Select" from Endless Ocean
I love being nostalgic for eras I didn't experience in first hand. Sure, I played wii games when it was still popular, but damn, I was so little. I still play with my 3ds to this day thanks to the phantom nostalgia!
Same😢
Huh. Phantom nostalgia-- that's an interesting way to phrase it! I've felt something similar, I believe. Especially when it comes to 2009-2011 youtube. I technically *was* here, but like... barely, yknow? xD
I was born in 1999 and I pretty much grew up with this aesthetic, oh how I miss it, it was so beautiful and full of life
So nostalgic being a kid during this era was awesome, we have come a LONG way since then (for better or worse)
Lease is the national anthem of frutiger aero
this feels like im in a computer and just strolling along the files with my headphones in
in times we live in now, where everything is flat and minimal, we as humans feel nothing.
It’s nostalgic and calming, brings me back somehow, even though I don’t know all the songs.
this is def one of my fav frutiger aero playlists. It’s also by far the most relaxing one! Thank you for making this playlist and I hope you have a wonderful day🌷
this sorta music is sometimes the only thing keeping the stress at bay while doing physics homework, thank you for your service my friend /gen
Lovely strings, refreshing vibes and beautiful tunes!❤✨👍
i would like to make a statement. gran turismo music from gt5 are some of the best frutiger aero music out there
next to gt4
_Frutiger Aero_
Unbelievably satisfying to place a name to something so convincingly real but kept only in personal memory until recent days.
Is anyone out there chilling back on Windows 10 until further notice looks like it will be expiring in 2025 compared to Windows 11 damn I miss growing up if I could relive it I would make better decisions in life like not being friends with other specific kids growing up being older sucks keep up the good work guys this is a practical digital time capsule!
i'm sticking with windows 10 for as long as possible windows 11 just looks like a mess to me and it's annoying to navigate
@@cezlock8209 I'm playing around with Windows 7 I might have to get an emachine or something and turn my Desktop into a Steam Machine I already thought about going back as much as possible people are too afraid to use them because they believe they're vulnerable. If you don't do anything stupid on your computer you should be fine modern browsers offer a descent amount of protection even without updates everything is as upgraded as it can get newer versions of Windows are just a gimmick and for looks to feel modern I'd rather find a copy of Windows XP and use the basic features so I can feel like I'm time traveling dual booting is amazing it can turn your PC into a digital time machine.
pls never delete this! this has stopped me from so many panic attacks .. thank you for this playlist
The Frutiger Aero world in VRChat brought me here. That is my home world. Hearing this wonderul music everytime I enter VRChat is amazing.
the xbox 360 avatar editor theme unlocked a whole hecking memory of me sitting and editing my avatar for hours every time my uncle let me play
i wish i could go back in time
this made me cry so hard, it relished memories I forgot from my childhood thank you ❤️
idk how to describe it but frutiger aero is just so refreshing
my brain drank a cold water bottle
This really is one of my favorite Frutiger Aero mixes, it's full of old music that really captures the era perfectly and it all flows perfectly together, there are no new music arrangements, at least none that I can see, and everytime it gets to Over the Horizon I just get hit hard and I start crying, it makes me feel so young.
Thank you for making this frutiger aero the first one I ever found and the one I always come back to listen.
Oh my god I was just remembering the mall music from Dead Rising being similiar to this aesthetics and then the mix immediately played it.
Im not even joking some kids who were born in the early 2010s also actually get nostalgia because this kind of style only died down in 2014. This shows that how much Aero style impacted the world :D
I was born early 2010 so yeah, your abt right
i feel like the reason why we all collectively love this type of vibe is bc it reminds us of our childhood, where we had no recollection of the past or future and just lived in the present moment. our mind associates that with peace. not a single worry or bad thought. personally it reminds me of when i used to wake up early on sunday mornings just to play wii with my dad. life was so simple. i wanna go back to that.
I agree!
Reminds me of going to Best Buy in 2007 to buy our garbage HP Windows Vista PC. I love that machine.
I was so happy when I heard the dsi camera album it was my childhood
frutiger aero makes me feel some type of nostalgic way i can't explain
I use this mix for a small VR game I made to relax! It’s absolutely perfect for what I use it for! I’ve probably listened to this whole thing like 10 times!
Omg the song called Bloom, where can I find more info about it? It's so beautiful
Even though I was pretty young in the 2000s, there just something so nostalgic about it. Everything looked how this music sounds if that makes sense. It was a lot better back then, this music just makes you feel like everything might just be alright, it reminds you of simpler times that’s why.
the dreams of frutiger aero
Happy to hear the Dead Rising 1 mall theme here, definitely a Frutiger Aero vibe also that game’s great 😎
I feel like this aesthetic could feel nostalgic or just welcoming to anyone in some sort of way.
when i was young i used to have dreams about this kind of thing; being in a brightly coloured world with ultra surrealistic logic (fish swimming in the air) and just being at complete bliss
i dont know if it was just me who had those kinda dreams but its wicked i can still remember them now
So glad Yabujin was also in this mix! This mix brought me so much nostalgia it's perfect.
i already commented this on a frutiger aero vid but this heavily reminds me of my dads office and its very comforting
(im not spaming im just blinded by nostalgia)
this heals me i many ways, ily for creating this wonderful playlist. my favourite one so far
The future we were promised, and yet we went dystopian.
bro the xbox avatar menu GOT ME WOWWWW I remember when I gave my guy emile's helmet from halo reach I felt so cool
Feeling nostalgic!
LEASE - Takeshi Abo, from My Merry May. Banger, I discovered it from Spotify, but it's been weirdly following me everywhere. The algorithms have got too good nowadays
6:22 OMGGGG
Ultimate study playlist. I've played this through about 3 times already
Men In Black, A.I. Artificial Intelligence are my favourite example movies with strong Frutiger Aero theme
1:00:50 This song is so blissful
Born 91 here, and personal any game music from 1995 to 2005 were the pinnacle imo. After that only certain games had great Soundtracks.
i swear every singular frutiger aero playlist starts with lease
not saying thats a bad thing
lease makes me feel super nostalgic over a era i only experience for a year
This is Not A Phase, Its a Masterpiece.
18:54 where does this song come from?? ive searched up "bloom", "bloom frutiger aero", "bloom 2000s" etc and I dont know where the original is its driving me insane
Nowadays I see frutiger aero as my version of the mid 2000's and early 2010's.
also shout out to lemon jelly highly recommend you to check it out if you like frutiger aero music
One album that has a lot of frutiger aero sounds is the 2002 exodus by the british dj andy hunter. It feels like frutiger aero arriving for the first time in the y2k dominated scene.
I found Andy Hunter years ago from SSX3. Only listened to a couple of songs though after 'Go'
@@virtualclownflux3226 First song I've listened from that album was ''The Wonders of You'' from one my favorite childhood games Need for Speed Underground. It's actually an electronic christian album so it makes sense that's also frutiger aero since the aesthetic has this otherworldy and heavenly aspect to it.
It is great to heard once again 😌 Loved it
15:34 threw me into another decade. damn. used to have this disk that had four trials games on it, this one Feeding Frenzy was the one I played the most and you could only play like the first 2 levels so I listened to that song a billion times. this was all back when we didn't have money, had no clue till now that they were just for putting inside display cases at walmarts and whatnot so you could get a feel of what the new xbox 360 felt like. damn
Which is the best future for mankind. Frutiger areo or solarpunk?
love how you put the wii party theme. such great times...
isn't this more late 00s/early 10s reminiscient? fruitger aero wasn't in the mainstream until the windows vista OS rolled around near 2007, and the wii wasn't released until late 2006. still, i love this playlist :]
1:40 - 6:17 is hilarious because it is a FIFTY SECOND LOOP to the INTRO OF A STAGE stretched for 5 WHOLE MINUTES i'm dying
This playlist keeps me calm and focused while studying. Thank you.
Sims 2 gives me so much nostalgia, I remember playing it on my wii or with my neighbors on the computer. I wish I could go back.
i have the first song in my own FA Playlist, im so glad someone else thinks it fits the vibe too
Very surprised to see some Takeshi Abo songs. I knew his geometrical composing can touch some frutiger aero/vaporwave/night drive vibes, but this feels like a confirmation. Great playlist!
