when they go "I'm still young and I'd like to stay that way 'Cause growing up won't make everything okay" always gives me the chills, what a melody and image.
Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve heard a band sound as good on a late night show, or look as energetic. MxPx always brings it. Conan saying “that was really good” was no flattery. There’s usually something awkward about late night performances, but not here. I have a feeling they were pumped to be there.
I never really got into MxPx. I saw them once, they opened for Lagwagon. After their first song, they were yelling into the crowd for requests, and played songs that got yelled at them, It was awesome!
@@Abszn200 not exactly really :D, they just kept most of their live raw. Tho they kinda sound a bit bad at times since mark often sings his notes low so it does kill the vibes off their songs but otherwise even blink is good when live not great but good

From the humble tour van in Bremerton to the big smoke late night show lol. Mxpx don't crumble, they are flawless and sound immaculate. Amazing performers and musicians so underated.
I picked up 10 Years and Running back in the summer of 2003 when I was 12 years old. I remember thinking "Damn, 10 years as a band. That's a long time!" 20 years later, and I'm still rocking out to this amazing band!

I've thought of this. I wonder if it's because of where they originate from? They are east coast, when a lot similar sounding bands that came up at the same time as MxPx, were based in the west coast, California. I feel like if they had moved to California, when the "pop-punk" wave was hitting the shores there, they could've really been huge.
So dumb the younger generation doesn’t listen to songs like this actually about them angst, boredom & growing up. Trap rap is all they know with lyrics they will never experience in their teenage life strippers, jail & police brutality.
I remember staying up for this. My dad kept telling me to shut off the tv haha!
😂😂👍👍 always would stay up for Conan or Leno hoping for a good band 😂👍👍🤘🤘
I still have it taped on vhs somewhere at my parents house 😄
@@Jonsvintagetoycave haha yes! I used to stay up and record the good bands on the vhs!
great memories
I love how solid they sound as a three piece

They gave it their all.
Wherever they play they're always pumped up. Even in their online stream show last year. Given they're in their 40s.
My left ear enjoyed this
Very much so 😌
classic
a lot of VCR recordings seem to have a weird issue with this unfortunately

I watched this live, in my grandma Hazel’s living room, at the age of 18 years old. That was 21 years ago. Nostalgia is a bitch
MxPx and New Found Glory are two of some punk bands that sound really clean live
True because even tho blink is a great from the 90s,their live was too dirty I guess

They always play clean live. Excellent, excellent. Thanks for this upload!
Definitely stayed up and recorded this on the ol VCR
This was my jam in 7th grade. Used to watch the MV and practice my jumps with my guitar lol
Sounds tight. They should have been more popular than they were.
They sound good and don't look nervous at all. Mike hasn't aged at all either

Mxpx Buena banda de punk rock! Saludos de El Salvador 🇸🇻
Wow, long time ago... Mxpx has been a band since I was young which is crazy
Greg Anderson Yup, now it’s all about responsibility. 😭
Prince Groove Haha 🤣.. I know.. I miss being a teen and going to MXPX shows. Now it’s going to work and paying bills 😢

So nice to see the boys 😎🤘❤️🔥👏 love mxpx.
Mxpx always a bomb when they appear
They always solid uo to know, iam. Lucky enough saw them twice in Jakarta, my hometown
good old days
Tight performance. Really enjoyed it.
Thanks! Have been looking for this!
Damn, this is old school
Thanks for upload
they got to play at conan but they're still so small :'(
the drummer was like I'm not getting tattoos I still want to get a job with health insurance
Ironically, the band went a few years on hiatus, Tom (guitar) ended up getting a job fixing Navy ships or something like that
Yuri (drummer) works with tom fixing the submarines.

Why wasn't MxPx bigger? I pose this question to radio program directors.
they stayed true to themselves! they played what they wanted you to hear not some bullshit the radio blast through the airwaves
They deserved to be bigger, I agree. They truly play for the music. Mike is 110 percent vested in his music craft.
They spent too much time on a Christian label playing Christian circuits

August 9th, 2000
Lol what was that thing flying out at the end?
bass guitar reflection
It was Mike's bass pick

Is this Green Day ?
It's Blink 182
