Lovely! And I’m so glad to know you took care of your hurting hands while making it! Am definitely familiar with that sort of “point of no return”.... I find the memories and struggles and triumphant solutions end up worked into the object, which gives it so much meaning (to me at least).
what a beautiful corset cover! While I'm sure you could have bought fabric with embroidery like that - I totally can relate to you make it yourself xD I try to do things on my own so often even when buying is possible. Sometimes it's a money thing for me (I have more time than money so make things from my stash is cheaper than buying new) but sometimes it's only because I like to make things!
I have seen many costumers have a go at historical crafts, just because. Sometimes because they want to me "historically accurate", but also sometimes they just want to have a go! You however, are the first person I have seen MAKE THEIR OWN BROIDERY ANGLAISE!!!!! Super impressed. You look amazing. Also, just buy it next time, my friend! You will save SO MUCH TIME. And your ADHD brain will still be happy. I promise. Dopamine from a bottle is just as good.
What digitizing software do you use? I use ink stitch in Inkscape and it’s … well, I got what I paid for lol but I really think it may be time to invest in proper software so I can make my own patterns for my dinky brother embroidery machine now and bigger nicer machines in the future maybe one day
That’s one of the prettiest corset covers I’ve seen 😻😻
omg i didn’t know you could digitise embroidery patterns like that…SO SATISFYING
Welcome back!

It does feel better to use what I have, too. Plus the challenge. :)
