I love seeing bluey being popular in other countries! It’s based off of my town in australia (fun fact - every house and park in bluey actually exists in Brisbane, Australia). There’s so many important messages for both kiddies and parents - such a wholesome show 💗

I absolutely love Bluey! I might even enjoy it more than my son. Whenever we watch it, I think it looks like such a wonderful place to live because everything is so colorful but then tell myself it’s a cartoon…I can’t believe it’s based off a real town!!

No need to constantly correct to be PC about gender or explain yourself. We watch your vlogs . We know your heart behind raising your children freely and not imposing gender norms if they don’t fit your kids. Sometimes it sounds like you’re afraid to say something wrong, maybe because of annoying comments? Forget those people. It’s clear where your heart is just by watching your videos.

Colleen!!! I'm a psychology student and I've learned a little bit about babies and their development. They haven't said their first word yet, because it's not intentional, HOWEVER, they are at the stage in their development where they begin to play around with sounds that may sound like words. That's how they begin to learn how to talk!!
I love seeing you interact with your kids because it's such an important thing for their development, and it clearly shows that they are properly stimulated and emotionally regulated, happy little babies!!! You're doing amazing!

I love the “littlest rainbow” outfit. Babies after a loss such as a miscarriage are referred to as “rainbow babies”. 🌈💕☺️

I love that you just got to know your babies before making a huge structure for them. You two are awesome parents. You may have already thought of this but when I transitioned my kiddos I took the bassinet basket off the base and put it in the crib so they could feel familiar yet be in a new space. And always put them in their sleep sacks, then gradually removed the bassinet when each were ready. It worked brilliantly! I hope it helps! Hugs

I did @chloemichelle and still to this day and they are now 18 and 16 they are very self regulated on their sleep and wake times. I never had issues at bedtime or in the mornings. Not sure it has anything to do with that but it didn’t hurt.

I found out i was pregnant with my rainbow baby like 3weeks before the twins were born. Im now 26wks! I can confirm time has FLOWN!

When my little sister was born, she came two months early. She was really small and in the NICU for the first few months of her life. She is six now and she has grown a lot. I'm grateful to have people like Colleen sharing her experiences with premie babies.

Hey Colleen, as a non-binary person there's truly no such thing as gender neutral clothes in mainstream fashion for adults so I can only imagine looking for babies. If you want the kids to match I would recommend getting them clothes from both sections in their own sizes (ex: "boys" outfits on Maisey). You have to think about it as just fabric on a hanger.

Omg I'm 17 weeks pregnant and crying with you that the twins outgrew their tiny clothes 😭 there are shops on Etsy that you can send the clothing to and they will make baby blanket quilts out of them. It's a great keepsake ❤️ plan on doing this with my first 🥰
Hey Colleen! I'm a non-binary/queer viewer who loves your channel! I wanted to say, it feels like you get nervous when talking about gendered items/having a boy and girl twin... I'm sure it's likely out of fear that young people will attack you for being transphobic/politically-incorrect, but I hope you can get more comfortable with saying those things without feeling like you need to defend yourself! It's obviously important for new/infrequent viewers to hear that you are progressive parenting (i.e. not forcing your kids into gender stereotype/trying to de-gender things when you can) but I think long time viewers know that sometimes clothing or toys are gendered and that's fine for now. It doesn't make you a bad person for buying things to take care for your babies that happen to be a boy and a girl right now 😊
P.S. You've had some really important discussions on this vlogging channel that I think bring really awesome awareness to how children will be happier without gender roles/stereotypes. Thank you for making that part of your "platform" as a UA-camr. You are the true definition of an ally and I appreciate that you've proved that throughout the years 💕

She is never nervous talking about gender, it is her nature to explain herself. Because she knows new people discover her, at different times, so when they watch they know she is all inclusive and savvy too.
I dont like how she says that she hates gendered things but she NEVER walks the walk. Whenever she gets matching twin sets she ALWAYS puts Maisy in the dress and Wesley in the pants. It annoys me so much how she talks the talk but never walks the walk 🙄

i really like colleen and i think she just needs to own how she feels about gender/just dressing her babies. she’s always been excited to have a daughter and dress her a certain way and i think she’s scared about what people will say about that/have said but there are worse things in the world imo!

You said that clothes should all be gender neutral and that’s fine if you think that way and other people think that way but not all of us do. I think it’s completely fine to have girly clothes and masculine clothes. They’re just clothes and dressing up our babies is fun. I don’t think you need to worry about making a fashion statement or not making a statement regarding how you like to dress them. You love your babies and you love making them look cute. It’s seriously not any more complicated than that and people who make a big deal over a baby wearing a dress or not have way too much time on their hands. Peeps need to relax 😍

My Mom tells me that when I learned to say hi, I would always say “hi Deja!” Just because that’s what I always heard. 😂 At the grocery store etc everyone who walked by I would say “hi Deja!”
I was also informed that I couldn’t have pjs with feet because my feet were too big. I also had to wear something button up otherwise my giant head would fit through. 😂 Poor me.

You can buy a little "piggyback" riding board that attaches to your Uppababy Vista so if ever Flynn gets tired, he can hop on that board and stand on it while you push the twins! The nice thing about it too is that you can flip it up if it's not in use so it doesn't get in the way of your feet!
Tortilla talk question! Hey Colleen!! I work in childcare seeing these wonderful kids of yours at home is so amazing!! But will you ever be putting them in a daycare? For some extra learning and to socialize with other kids?(before actual school obviously)

I just wanted to make a quick comment about the pet store, because so many people and kids go in those places so excited about the animals and take them home without thinking too much about it; But that mouse running in circles almost definitely had a brain injury, illness, or suffered from something major because that is not normal behavior. Of course it seems silly to kids but I just wanted to let you know Colleen so you don't take an animal like that home one day. Sadly lots of animals in pet stores, rodents specifically I know about, are not healthy because they're provided by rodent mills. It seems like Flynn will be an animal lover in the future, so I just like to suggest always trying to adopt first

According to Google, when mice run circles like that there's a great chance they are suffering from disease or illness. If this is true I hope it doesn't spread to the other mice and that the store owners are aware 😕😬

There was no enrichment in the cage, they need chews and wheels. Awful.
I caution using the blackout curtains for the babies. Babies will naturally sleep in the light for nap time. It will help them to know when it’s dark it’s bedtime at night at when it’s brighter it’s a shorter daytime sleep.
